HARIPATH THE HIDDEN SPLENDOR
Haripath is an important mile stone. Each composition is musically composed and is the poetic expression of inner oneness and bliss. These are known as Abhangas. These are soaked in the essence of Dnyaneshwar. This is the reason that these Abhangas form the part of every Maharashtrian home and all those who seek oneness. Dnyaneshwar through these Abhangas has brought the spirit or duality of Shaivite and Vaishnavite as oneness through Vitthal or Panduranga where the Shaivite and Vaishnavite merge into one another. Such is the spirit or the essence of Dnyaneshwar. Through these meditations the effort is made to maintain this spirit and take the aspirant from the physical level of ritual singing to inner state of meditativeness when you are connected to the energy field of Dnyaneshwar. When it was decided to create such meditations around each Abhanga, a certain format was decided upon so the work happens at the physical, mental, intellectual and the spiritual plane. For this it was imperative to classify these Abhangas into these categories. However, when the process began, it was felt that there is no such need. Each Abhanga works at all three planes simultaneously. Only thing that, it requires, is the awareness on the part of the aspirant. Once, there is awareness one is easily connected to the saint and his energy field. In the absence a bridge is to be created. This bridge will connect the two shores where you stand and the other shore where Dnyaneshwar dwells. Without ...

Planet Sun in Astrology, and What it really means, Secret of Horoscope
CLICK HERE www.astrologykrs.com Surya (Devanagari सूर्य Sūrya, "the Supreme Light";[2], Kannada: ಸೂರ್ಯ, Burmese: သူရိယ, [θùɹḭja̰]; Malay: Suria; Tamil: சூரியன்; Telugu: సూర్యుడు; Thai: พระอาทิตย์) Suraya or Phra Athit is the chief solar deity in Hinduism, one of the Adityas, son of Kasyapa and one of his wives, Aditi;[3] of Indra; or of Dyaus Pitar (depending by the version). The term Surya also refers to the Sun, in general. Surya has hair and arms of gold. He is said to drive through the heaven in his triumphal chariot harnessed by seven horses or one horse with seven heads,[1] which represent the seven colours of the rainbow or the seven chakras. He presides over Sunday. In Hindu religious literature, Surya is notably mentioned as the visible form of God that one can see every day. Furthermore, Shaivites and Vaishnavas often regard Surya as an aspect of Shiva and Vishnu, respectively. For example, the sun is called Surya Narayana by Vaishnavas. In Shaivite theology, Surya is said to be one of eight forms of Shiva, named the Astamurti. His other names include Vishnu, Vivasvān (Sanskrit root: Vivasvat, विवस्वत्) Ravi (lit. "the Fire Bird"[2]), Aditya (lit. the son of Aditi),[4] Pusha (the best Purifier), Divakar (the maker of the day), Savita (the vivifier), Arka अर्क (the ray), Mitra (friend),[4] Bhanu (light) (Kannada: ಭಾನು), Bhaskar (maker of Light), and Grahapati (the Lord of Grahas).

Thiruvasagam - Poovar Senni Mannan
Composer Ilaiyaraaja's rendition. Thiruvasagam/Tiruvacakam (Tamil: திருவாசகம் lit. "sacred utterance") is a volume of hymns composed by the ninth century Shaivite bhakti poet mANikka vAchakar. "Thiruvasagathukku urugar Evvasagathukkum Urugar " (tamil proverb). Meaning - One who will not be moved by the Sacred Utterances will not be moved by any utterances In Thiruvasagam, there are 51 pathigams in total, together constituting the eighth volume of the Tirumurai, the sacred anthology of Tamil Shaiva Siddhanta. mANikka vAchakar, hearing this name the devotees just think of the love that is pure and no limits set, taking the human form with its expression of tears continuously budding on the lotus face expressing the softness of the heart, the words that were not coined but dragged out in the flood of love that emerges from a broken dam on seeing the Dancing Lord. He inspired the spirits of the people of the thamiz speaking land very deeply to experience by loving the sweetness of the Unexplorable Supreme. This great saint who developed the spiritual and religious upliftment is revered as one of the four samayak kuravar (religious guides). Legend has it that mANikka vAchakar was appointed as minister by king Arimarttanar and sent to purchase 10000 horses from Arab trader but spent the money building a temple in Tirupperunturai. திருச்சிற்றம்பலம் (Thiruchitrambalam)

kolaru pathigam
The thiru Kolaru Pathigam was composed by Thirugnyaana Sambandhar, one of the 63 Shaivite Saints. His Holiness Chandrasekhara Saraswati Mahaswamigal highly recommended this stotra to those who were suffering from the malefic effects of planets. This song is rendered by DVRamani. (I had to clip off certain portions of music in this song owing to the time constraint. I have found the lyrics in a website. Kindly let me know if there are any blunders so that I may correct them). Karlo Karlo Charo Dham
Char Dham are the four abodes of God in the four directions of India - Puri in the east, Rameshwaram in the south, Dwarka in the west, and Badrinath in the north. They were collated by the 8th century reformer and philosopher Adi Shankaracharya, into the archetypal all-India pilgrimage circuit to the four cardinal points of the Indian subcontinent in a bid to unify people across the region The cross-country Char Dham defined by Adi Shankaracharya consists of three Vaishnavite and one Shaivite sites. Over the years, the term "Char Dham" has lent itself to the all-denomination Char Dham pilgrimages in the Garhwal Himalayas, where Adi Shankaracharya attained freedom from embodiment. Earlier known as Chota Char Dham or 'Little' Char Dham to differentiate them from the bigger circuit of Char Dham sites, after the mid-20th century they themselves started being called the Char Dham,Today, the term "Char Dham" usually refers to the all-denomination Himalayan Char Dham. The Char Dham are often considered the most revered sites for Hindus that have to be visited in one's lifetime.

Sambandar and Agni
Hello everybody !!!
Yognajali Natyalayam composes, choreographs and performs a dance drama each year since its creation in 1993. In 2009, they created and performed Thirugnana Sambandar, the story of a Shaivite Saint who was also a great musician and lived in a century (6th / 7th century) marked by quite some rivalry in South India between Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism.
This item is part of this dance drama and was presented at the 2009 International Yoga Festival of Puducherry. It shows an episode of Sambandar's life which depicts his battle against Agni, the God of Fire, who had set a village on fire in order to kill him.
This choreography can be seen as illustrating the play of action and reaction : for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction as can be seen in the fight. It can also be seen as illustrating the battle between ignorant selfishness and an enlightened and open mindset.
Hopefully, by rising above our limited points of views, we may be able to overcome communalisms and divisions and share the richness of our diversities.
A lot of dialogical and inspiring energies to all of you !!!

Lakshmi Devi Temple, Doddagaddavalli
Doddagaddavalli, a small village in the district of Hassan, Karnataka, is home to the little known architectural marvel, a Lakshmi Devi temple of the Hoysala period. Inscriptions prove that the temple was constructed under the reign of King Vishnuvardhana, in the year 1114 AD, thus making the temple one of the oldest in the country. Vaishnavite, Shaivite and Jain influences are all in full display, and the temple houses shrines of Lakshmi, Bhoothanatha Linga, Kali and Vishnu. Also in display are rare and intricate carvings of Astadikpalakas (gods of eight directions), fiery Betalas (demons), and multiple inscriptions from the periods of different Hoysala kings.

THIRUVACHAGAM-8/12
Thiruvasagam (Tamil: திருவாசகம் lit. "sacred utterance") is a volume of Tamil hymns composed by the ninth century Shaivite bhakti poet Manikkavacakar. It contains 51 compositions and constitutes the eighth volume of the Tirumurai, the sacred anthology of Tamil Shaiva Siddhanta. The main message of the hymns is that the body is temporary and worldly comforts are the root cause of pain and sorrow. One should rather pray to leave the body and attain liberation (moksha). Soul should have control over the body: the ultimate highness in one's life is to reach Lord Shiva's feet. Legend has it that Manikkavacakar was appointed as minister by king Arimarttanar and sent to purchase 10000 horses from Arab traders but spent the money building a temple in Tirupperunturai. There is a famous saying " திருவாசகத்துக்கு உருகார் ஒரு வாசகத்திற்கும் உருகார்" translating "He whose heart is not melted by Tiruvasagam must have a heart of stone". George Uglow Pope was born on 24 April 1820 on Prince Edward Island in Canada. He became interested in Tamil and learned the language during a six-month ship voyage to India. His magnum opus, an English translation of Tiruvacakam, appeared in 1900. Dr. Pope found a close affinity to the utterances of sincere devotion in such verses as 'Longing for devotion alone', 'Without thy presence I pine', 'Deadness of soul', 'God all in all', 'I am thine, save me', 'His love demands my all'.[12] He also ...

He describes Tapas (penance) is great detail in terms of psychological and physiological mutations.
