Hey guys, I'm back with more classic commentaries that includes "The New Zoo Revue" and "Captain America". This video also includes my new segment "Paying Tribute". The "Paying Tribute" honors an exceptional media personality, be it performer, actor, poet, politician, activist, etc for their past achievements and contributions made (dead or living); and to also introduce my young blog members a new piece of history, and or a new genre. Tonight's celebrity focus is on Flip Wilson. Classic commercial of the week is from Mazola.

RON WILSON'S "MOONSHINE" 1987 with SEAN FOLSOM on IRISH BAGPIPES
Another track from Ron Wilson's rare "Lost It In The Surf" Album. Here, Sean Plays the Irish Uilleann Pipes throughout, along with a Solo. Part of the time there are 2 Pipe tracks running, and both improvisations just happened to blend into a harmony. Now, some further "Rock n' Roll" History: In 1981, Sean played his Irish Uilleann Pipes on Van Morrison's song "Celtic Ray". on the CD Album "Beautiful Vision" (1982 Warner Bros. 7 Arts). This was one of the possible "First Use" of the Irish Uilleann Pipes on any Rock Album. Sean's Tenor Sax riffs were a good fit when he played them on his Irish Pipes. Sean knew Morrison's work, because he had played covers of Morrison's songs years before the 1981 "Beautiful Vision" recording date, with Singer / Song Writer Dirk Hamilton, at his various Gigs around San Jose, California, back in 1971- 72. When they rolled the Master Tape for "Celtic Ray" Sean knew it was the spot for the Tenor Sax solo that Morrison had on many of his song arrangements... AND it happened that the song was in G major, a perfect key for the Irish Pipes...AND it turned out that Ron Wilson's "Moonshine" was also in the key of G major, again, a lucky choice. Here, instead of "Surf" Ron's song writing style is more "Country". Recorded in June 1987 at Bennett House, Grass Valley. California. Ron Wilson: Composer, Drums and Vocal: Mike Bothum: Guitar Paul Emory: Bass Guitar Sean Folsom: Irish Uilleann Pipes. Dedicated to the Memory of my Good Friend, Ron Wilson ...

The Big Broadcast of 1944 -Harry James October 21, 1979 Part One
This audio is a portion of "The Big Broadcast of 1944" from October 21, 1979. This show toured for two years, and included Dennis Day, Dick Haymes, Helen Forrest, Fran Warren, Hildegarde, former Jack Benny announcer Don Wilson, and Harry James and his Orchestra. My wife Cheryl Morris also was featured as a member of Harry James' band. This clip features Don Wilson introducing Harry James. Harry plays his theme "Ciribiribin" "Don't Be That Way" and "Tuxedo Junction." Chuck Anderson solos on trombone, and the band is kicked by lead trumpet great Clyde Reasinger, and former Count Basie drummer Harold Jones. It is remarkable how strong Harry's playing sounded at this time. www.facebook.com

Cheetahs on the Edge--Director's Cut
Cheetahs are the fastest runners on the planet. Combining the resources of National Geographic and the Cincinnati Zoo, and drawing on the skills of a Hollywood action movie crew, we documented these amazing cats in a way that’s never been done before.
Using a Phantom camera filming at 1200 frames per second while zooming beside a sprinting cheetah, the team captured every nuance of the cat’s movement as it reached top speeds of 60+ miles per hour.
The extraordinary footage that follows is a compilation of multiple runs by five cheetahs during three days of filming.
