Fågel blå (Blue bird in swedish) was a very odd label in Sweden. They just worked during 1935-36 and I have almost never seen the label, so this record is not common. Red sails in the sunset was recorded in many different versions, the most popular recorded by Greta Wassberg, but since this is an odd recording - even if it's in my meaning not the best swedish version - I choosed this one. According to SLBA is the anonymous orchestera Gustaf Egerstam and his danceorchestera. Gustaf Egerstam (1897-1976) started his musical career as militarymusican playing clarinett. In 1927 he started his own band and some of his early recordings are mentioned as early swedish jazz. During the therties he was recordingdirector at the Toni label. During the WWII he was more and more working with swedish traditional music like hambo schottis and so on. At the phot he is playing violin. The rafrain is sunged by Teddy Leif (real name; Leif Petersén) (1909-1980) During the therties he toured around in Sweden leading different cabrets. He stoped his career during the war. It's a quite sad story (even if it's not a mention on life and deat, as in other countries). When our neighbour countries was occupied, the swedish goverment decided to restrict the hole country and for the safty of bombplanes no lights was accepted in the evening,it was possble to have light inside the houses, but then you had to cover the windows so no light could be seen from outside.
