Cambridge Topshop Protest - Run, Philip Green, Run!
Guerilla protest hits Cambridge Topshop as tax avoider Philip Green is chased around the shop by the taxmen. The billionaire Philip Green (CEO of Arcadia Group) is an advisor to the government on cuts to public services, yet he has dodged paying hundreds of millions of pounds to the British government, both personally by channeling his pay packet (£1.2bn in 2005) through his Monaco-domiciled wife, and commercially by Arcadia Group's complex system of offshore holding companies. Arcadia Group own the high street chains Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Topshop, Topman, Wallis, as well the department store chain BHS.

Vivienne Westwood Gold Label AW12/13
Gold Label Autumn- Winter 2012/ 13 'London' Looking back to the heroes of the past they looked so incredible in their clothes- artists, intellectuals, scientists: cultivated people. Imagine them live and in front of you- you would think you were on another planet. I want people to shine with human dignity and nobility. I rely on historical reference. By engaging with human genius I have tried to capture the past in my fashion. But we can never repeat, we are swept along by the changing times and our own experience. When we try to imitate we find ourselves doing something new. I see fashion as a proposal, a way for people to look more wonderful. This collection has taken care of itself. Without direction Andreas and I began choosing fabrics and delegating technical tasks from random ideas until something began to form. Half-way through, theatre director, Philip Green asked us if we could do costumes for a future production of a 17th century play, 'The Man of Mode' and at that point we realized the collection was looking rather 17th century. We said 'yes' to the play and from there on the 17th century became a conscious frame of reference. Sometimes it is more a question of mood eg a black coat made out of a rectangle folded into an envelope has a feeling of a scholars' gown; it somehow could represent the scientific interest of the age. The 17th century was a century of great change and drama, it was the age of the amateur and of the rugged individualist and adventurer; in ...

DEPOPULATION AGENDA - NWO SCAM (George "GREEN")(Any relation to Philip "GREEN"?) CHECK OUT "GEORGIA GUIDESTONES" - WAKE UP PEOPLE - DO YOU NOT REALISE WHAT IS HAPPENING - WITH DELIBERATION!!! [Sir] Philip Green (born 15 March 1952) is a British billionaire businessman who owns some of the UK largest retailers, including the Arcadia Group. He is Britain's 9 (ninth) richest person with assets worth around £4.43bn in 2008. [No one enquires whom exacatly was his BANKING Sponsor?] He appears to own 2300 shops in the UK and his assets appear to currently control 12% of the UK clothing retail market, making his empire the second-largest in the sector. The leader, Marks and Spencer, has been the target of three unsuccessful takeover bids from Green. He is set to become a shareholder and director of music mogul Simon Cowell's expanded "Syco" record label and tv production company. [BE AWARE OF THE VERY SAME CONNECTION] George GREEN's career extends from military service in the USAF (where he encountered alien disk craft in a remote hanger at Edwards AFB), through "playing monopoly" in corporate banking and large-scale construction, to working closely with the Pleiadians and other benevolent intelligences to "wake people up" in preparation for coming changes. Very few people we have talked to have a span of personal experience - and contacts - which is this broad. UK Uncut Bristol: 30/01/2011
Bristol Tour of Tax Dodgers 30th January 2011 Flying picket in Bristol of National and Multinational chains which dodge their taxes at a time when massive cuts are being made to UK government spending and services. Vodafone was let off a £6 billion tax bill by HMRC (yes, 6 billion, 6 000 000 000), in a "sweetheart" deal. Meanwhile the Indian government forced the same company to pay every penny of the £1.1 billion they owed them. Phillip green, the Owner of the Arcadia group (which owns Topshop, BHS, Dorothy Perkins and others) last year received a £1.2 BILLION bonus. However, he registered the company he owns in the name of his wife, who lives in Monaco - so he didn't pay a single penny of tax on it. It is estimated he should owe the exchequer £285 million. Arcadia is also based in the Cayman islands, for tax purposes - so itself manages to avoid paying taxes. To rub salt into the wound, Phillip Green has also been appointed as an advisor to the government on the cuts, cuts which wouldn't be necessary if people like him paid their taxes like everyone else. Boots was taken over by an American holding company. Shortly after, the long-established British company moved its headquarters to a post office box in Switzerland, so that it can avoid paying UK taxes. Consequently, its tax bill fell from £100million to just £3 million - about 3% of its profits (less than rate of income tax a person on minimum wage pays!). TAKE ACTION! We can only do so much. We need to put pressure ...

UK Uncut Brighton - Boots Protest
UK Uncut Brighton - Boots Protest
Brighton Uncut took a tour of Boots the great british high street brand that now pays only 3 percent tax as a result of the dodgy dealings surrounding its purchase by private equity company KKR in 2007. Yet again 100+ officers were mobilised. Luckily most of their wages will go into the UK economy unlike £25 billion of tax avoided by wealthy individuals and companies that heads off overseas. Cancer patients may receive chemotherapy at their local branch of Boots as part of a revolutionary shake-up of the NHS. Hospital bosses have been in secret talks with the chemists' chain about expanding its High Street operations to include walk-in treatment for cancer. Health Secretary Andrew Lansley said the aim was to deliver 'a service tailored to an individual's need'.

UK Uncut Brighton - Topshop Protest
UK Uncut Brighton - Topshop Protest
Brighton Uncut take direct action against Top Shop owner Philip Green's serial tax avoidance. Sir Philip Green avoided £285m in UK income tax by paying his wife a £1.2billion dividend in 2005 and is now employed as the Governments "efficiency" adviser. 8 protesters superglued themselves inside Topshops main windows and 40-50 more held a banner and gave leaflets outside. The police moved quickly to displace the protest to a "designated protest area" in a side street. This resulted in a tiny kettle of protesters who were systematically arrested or made to give their personal details. Over 20 arrests were made mostly for Section 14 offenses and aggravated trespass. Amid growing public anger over the cuts, protests over tax avoidance by big business and wealthy individuals have hit high streets up and down the country.
