Azarya:
Who is ‘magistrate’?
Sonia:
Etymologists say the word ‘magistrate’ [was] derived from Indo-European root ‘great’.
In that sense the word ‘magister’ is similar to ‘rabbi’ derived from semitic root ‘great’.
In ancient Rome it meant an authority.
Azarya:
Who is ‘authority’?
Sonia:
A person who occup[ies] official positions of power to enforce rules.
Azarya:
Let's imagine I know what ‘person’ is.
Sonia:
Let's make it explicit, though.
Back in the day it meant ’human being, person, personage; a part in a drama, assumed character’,
originally ‘a mask, a false face’.
Now it means ’human being’.
So, authority is a person who occupy official positions of power to enforce rules.
Azarya:
What is ’official’?
Sonia:
Approved by authority.
Azarya:
So it's a loop.
Sonia:
This loop is supported by public trust; is it not?
Azarya:
And public are people and I'm one of the people.
Sonia:
So, authority is a person who occupy official positions of power to enforce rules.
Azarya:
‘Rules’?
Sonia:
A rule is a regulation, law, guideline.
Azarya:
‘Regulation’?
Sonia:
Roughly speaking, it's same as ‘rule’.
Etymologists say they share the same Indo-European root ‘to straighten (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/straighten) ; to right (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/right) oneself; right; just’.
And ‘right’ is of the same root.
Azarya:
I think when Warren [G] and Nate [Dogg] put it, they were talking about killing people.
Sonia:
Rules to be enforced.
You do not need to enforce if you do not have rules.
You do not need to kill.

https://wn.com/The_Ultimate_Ancient_Roman_Iceberg_Explained
Welcome to the Roman Iceberg! This iceberg touches on nearly every aspect of Roman history, from Rome's greatest men like Julius Caesar, Augustus, and Cicero to Rome's downfall and even aspects of Roman history that you may not be all that well versed in such as Lepidus and Majorian. If it deals with Rome it probably got mentioned at some point in this video!
Rome and its people are some of the most studied aspects of history in the entire world. And yet, underneath all of the most showy and most well-known aspects of Roman history exists a deep and storied history that many people either know nothing about or have skipped over in favor of the more flashy aspects of Roman history. That is why I decided to create the Roman History Iceberg. 10 Tiers of various deep and not so deep cuts of Roman history filled to the brim with important people, events, places, and theories in Roman history all made with the goal of introducing all of you to some pieces of history that I feel are missed out on.

Rome is the largest city in and the county seat of Floyd County, Georgia, United States. Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, it is the principal city of the Rome, Georgia, metropolitan statistical area, which encompasses all of Floyd County. At the 2020 census, the city had a population of 37,713. It is the largest city in Northwest Georgia and the 22nd-largest city in the state.
Rome was founded in 1834, after Congress passed the Indian Removal Act, and the federal government committed to removing the Cherokee and other Native Americans from the Southeast. It developed on former indigenous territory at the confluence of the Etowah and the Oostanaula rivers, which together form the Coosa River. Because of its strategic advantages, this area was long occupied by the historic Creek. Later the Cherokee people expanded into this area from their traditional homelands to the east and northeast. National leaders such as Major Ridge and John Ross resided here before Indian Removal in 1838.
The city has developed on seven hills with the rivers running between them, a feature that inspired the early European-American settlers to name it for Rome, the longtime capital of Italy that was also built on seven hills. The American Rome developed in the antebellum period as a market and trading city due to its advantageous location on the rivers. It shipped the rich regional cotton commodity crop downriver to markets on the Gulf Coast and export overseas.
In the late 1920s, a United States company built a rayon plant in a joint project with an Italian company. This project and the American city of Rome were honored by Italy in 1929, when its duce Benito Mussolini sent a replica of the statue of Romulus and Remus nursing from a mother wolf, a symbol of the founding myth of the original Rome.
It is the largest city near the center of the triangular area defined by the Interstate highways between Atlanta, Birmingham, and Chattanooga. It has developed as a regional center for the fields of medical care and education. In addition to its public-school system, it has several private schools. Higher-level institutions include private Berry College and Shorter University, and the public Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Georgia Highlands College.

MORE ABOUT HBO'S ROME
In this British historical drama, the turbulent transition from the Roman Republic to the authoritarian empire changed the history of the world through civil wars and wars of conquest. Julius Caesar, his family and his successor Octavio Augusto are all described from the perspective of their nobles. Political allies and opponents, as well as some common Romans, have politically naive views, especially soldiers Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo and their families.
Seven years later, at Aventine College, Titus Plow (played by Ray Stevenson) took care of the restless Romans. They flocked to ask for more rations because they were seriously affected by food. Starving because of shortages. While Zuleikha Robinson watched her eat an apple on the balcony, Plow gave a passionate speech, telling the crowd to go home and wait for the ration the next day. At the same time, Titus Plow met Octavian (Simon Woods) to inform him of the latest situation of food shortages and asked for more food. Octavian told Titus Plow that he only had food left to feed his army, and they had to eat too. Agrippa (Alan Ritchie) suggested that Octavian send some troops to Africa to distribute extra food to those who would give them an extra month of rations.
Octavio agreed with a short-term solution but realized that more work must be done to feed the public. Before leaving, Octavian asked Titus Plow what people thought of him and the situation. By choosing his wording carefully, Titus Plow warned people to blame Octavian instead of Mark Anthony. Titus Pullo pointed out the popularity of Marc Anthony among the crowd. Octavio described himself as "cold and ruthless." Titus Plow said he would not say that, but he said that Octavian was not entirely known for his "caring", and Mark Anthony was "loving man" after all.
Upon moving to Egypt, Lucius Vorenus (Kevin McKidd) seems to wake up in bed with Niobe (Indira Varma), where their shared and loving moments end in a nightmare scene. Vorenus woke up in real life and was surrounded by a naked, bald Egyptian prostitute. He put a black knit wig on his head and complained about Vorenus' nightmares. He should pay more. Warrenus told him to shut up and he splashed water on his face, wearing legion gear to do the job.
Vorenus enters Cleopatra's (Lindsey Marshal) palace and meets Posca (Nicholas Woodeson), wearing eyeliner and Egyptian clothing, lying in his office, filled with various scrolls. Vorenus asked what happened, Posca told him that Mark Antony (James Purefoy) and Cleopatra were receiving Bibulus (Jack Ellis), and Octavian sent him to exchange with Mark Antony for new goods from Egypt. Vorenus asked him why he was not with Mark Antony, and Posca replied that when Cleopatra yelled at him, he chose to ignore himself. Vorenus went to the room where Mark Antony and Bibulus negotiated, and at the same time gave Cleopatra an archery lesson on the plush cushions. Anthony has changed, in addition to various tattoos and Cole around his eyes, he is also wearing Egyptian clothing and jewelry.
Cleopatra wore an exposed metal bra and a skirt with two slits in the front, exposing her bare thighs. One of Cleopatra's classes included a slave dressed as a beloved, and when Anthony instructed her to drink from a bowl of water on the ground, she crawled on all fours. In the grain negotiations, Cleopatra failed to achieve his goal, and every time he failed, the slave dressed as a deer would cower in fear and scream.
