Dar es Salaam
Dar es Salaam (Arabic: دار السلام Dār as-Salām, "harbour of peace"), formerly Mzizima, is the largest city in Tanzania. It is also the country's richest city and a regionally important economic centre. Dar es Salaam is actually an administrative province within Tanzania, and consists of three local government areas or administrative districts: Kinondoni to the north, Ilala in the centre of the region, and Temeke to the south. The Dar es Salaam Region had a population of 2,497,940 as of the official 2002 census. Though Dar es Salaam lost its official status as capital city to Dodoma in 1974 (a move which was not complete until 1996), it remains the centre of the permanent central government bureaucracy and continues to serve as the capital for the surrounding Dar es Salaam Region.
On December 20, 2011, the heaviest rains in 57 years resulted in unprecedented flooding that devastated many areas of the city. As of December 23, the flooding had caused 13 casualties and left nearly 5,000 people homeless.

Hardoi
Hardoi (Hindi: हरदोई, Urdu: ہردوئی) is a city and a municipal board in Hardoi district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of Hardoi District.
Hardoi is located at 27°25′N 80°07′E / 27.42°N 80.12°E / 27.42; 80.12. It has an average elevation of 134 metres (439 feet).Hardoi district is contiguous of Shahjahanpur and Lakhimpur Kheri districts on the north, Lucknow and Unnao districts on the south, Kanpur and Farrukhabad districts on the west and Sitapur district on the east. Hardoi is located at 110 km from Lucknow (capital of Uttar Pradesh) and 394 from New Delhi (capital of India). The Ganges and several of its tributaries are crossing the south of Hardoi district. Its area is 5947 km². The record height is 500 ft. In 1995, Hardoi district had 5 km² of dense forest and 13 km² of open forest.
The great temple of God Shiva called as 'Baba Sunasirnath' is one of most alluring and venerated place in Mallawan region, people not only from Hardoi but even from other districts come to visit this heavenly place. According to people, some British officers tried to demolish this temple along with the 'shivalinga' but as soon as they hit the shivalinga, large no of snakes, bees and other poisonous creatures attacked them. All the Britishers fled away from that place and could never forget the horrific experiences of Sunasirnath temple.

Karbala
Karbala (Arabic: كربلاء; BGN: Al-Karbalā’; also referred to as Karbalā' al-Muqaddasah) is a city in Iraq, located about 100 km (62 mi) southwest of Baghdad. Karbala is the capital of Karbala Governorate, and has an estimated population of 572,300 people (2003).
The city, best known as the location of the Battle of Karbala (680), is amongst the holiest cities for Shia Muslims after Mecca and Medina. It is home to the Imam Hussein Shrine. Karbala is famous as the site of the martyrdom of Hussein ibn Ali (Imam Hussein), and commemorations are held by millions of Shias annually to remember it. Karbala is considered sacred by all Shias.
There are several theories as to the origin of the name Karbala. One traditional hypothesis is Turkish geographer Yaqut al-Hamawi's belief that the name is an alternate Arabic feminine version of karbalah "soft earth". Another theory is that the name came from the Aramaic root Karb or Qarb; meaning "Near", and Alah; meaning God. Hence, the word 'Karbala' signifies 'Near God'. Alternatively, it has been said to be derived from the Aramaic word Kora, meaning place for making bricks, for the nearby ancient city of Babil, hence Karbabil, which became Karbala by contraction.

Mesum
Mesum is a village south of Rheine, located in the district Steinfurt, part of North Rhine-Westphalia. The current population in 2004 is about 8500. Mesum was first mentioned in 1373 in a document listing the church. That old church still exists as the oldest building of the village.
The village grew in the 19th century with the textile industry. At that time, it was part of the Prussian Kingdom.
The village has a railway station Rheine-Mesum, however Rheine has more services.

Hussein ibn Ali
Hussein ibn ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (Arabic: حسين بن علي بن أبي طالب) (3rd Sha'aban 4 AH – 10th Muharram 61 AH; 8 January 626 CE – 10 October 680 CE, also spelled Hussayn) was the son of ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (final Rashidun Caliph and first Shia Imam) and Fātimah Zahrā (daughter of the Islamic prophet Muhammad) and the younger brother of Hasan ibn Ali. Husayn is an important figure in Islam as he is a member of the Ahl al-Bayt (the household of Muhammad) and Ahl al-Kisa, as well as being a Shia Imam, and one of The Fourteen Infallibles of Shia Twelvers.
Husayn ibn ‘Alī is exalted by all the Shia as a martyr who fought tyranny as he refused to pledge allegiance to Yazid I, the Umayyad caliph. He rose up to create a regime that would reinstate a "true" Islamic polity as opposed to what he considered the unjust rule of the Umayyads. As a consequence, Husayn was killed and beheaded in the Battle of Karbala in 680 (61AH) by Shimr Ibn Thil-Jawshan. The annual funeral in the memory of him, his family, his children and his As'haab (companions) is called Ashura (tenth day of Muharram) and is a day of mourning for Shia Muslims.

Israelites
The Israelites (בני ישראל, Standard: Bnai Yisraʾel; Tiberian: Bnai Yiśrāʾēl; ISO 259-3: Bnai Yiśraˀel) were a Hebrew-speaking people of the Ancient Near East, who inhabited the Land of Canaan during the tribal and monarchic periods (15th to 6th centuries BCE), later evolving into Jews and Samaritans of the classic period, inhabiting Judea and Samaria respectively. In Modern Hebrew usage, an Israelite is, broadly speaking, a lay member of the Jewish ethnoreligious community, as opposed to the priestly orders of Kohanim and Levites.
The word "Israelite" derives from the Biblical Hebrew word "Israel". Although most literary references to Israelites are located in the Hebrew Bible, there is also abundant non-biblical archaeological and historical evidence of ancient Israel and Judah. The ethnonym is attested as early as the 13th century BCE in an Egyptian inscription. The Hebrew Bible etymologizes the name as from yisra "to prevail over" or "to struggle/wrestle with", and el, "God, the divine". The eponymous biblical patriarch of the Israelites is Jacob, who wrestled with God who gave him a blessing and renamed him "Israel" because he had "striven with God and with men, and have prevailed." (Genesis 32:24-32) According to the Hebrew Bible, Israelites were the "chosen people" of God. The name Hebrews is sometimes used synonymously with "Israelites". The Qurʾānic term is for Israelites is Banī Israʾīl (children of Israel).

Mohammed Burhanuddin
Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (Arabic: محمد برھان الدین) (Abul-Qaid Johar Mohammed Burhanuddin) (born 6 March 1915) is the 52nd Dā‘ī l-Muṭlaq (Dai, or Unrestricted Missionary) of the Dawoodi Bohras. The Dawoodi Bohras are a sub group within the Mustaali, Ismaili Shia branch of Islam.
Burhanuddin was born in Surat, Gujarat, India. He completed recitation of the Quran in 1921. In 1929, he escaped an accident when bridge railing collapsed while on travel in Colombo, where his vehicle got hung on one wheel. At the early age of 15 he performed his first Hajj. He got lakab(sub title) of Burhanuddin at age of 15 on his occasion of misaq. He received the designation of hadiyath (Sheikh) from 51st Dai in 1931 and later designated as mazoon in 1934. He was appointed to be the future Dā‘ī at the age of 19 by his father, his predecessor Dā‘ī l-Muṭlaq, Taher Saifuddin. He became hafiz in 1935 and married Amatullah Aai two years later.
In 1961, he made a trip to Yemen to visit the earlier Dais of Yemen and consequently received the designation of "Mansural-Yaman In 1965, he became 52nd Dai on death of his father Taher Saifuddin. He has seven sons and three daughters and all members of his family reside at Saifee Mahal, Mumbai.

Moses

The existence of Moses as well as the veracity of the Exodus story is disputed amongst archaeologists and Egyptologists, with experts in the field of biblical criticism citing logical inconsistencies, new archaeological evidence, historical evidence, and related origin myths in Canaanite culture. Other historians maintain that the biographical details, and Egyptian background, attributed to Moses imply the existence of a historical political and religious leader who was involved in the consolidation of the Hebrew tribes in Canaan towards the end of the Bronze Age.

Muhammad
Muhammad (c. 26 April 570 – 8 June 632; also transliterated as Mohammad, Mohammed, or Muhammed; Arabic: محمد), full name: Muhammad Ibn `Abd Allāh Ibn `Abd al-Muttalib (Arabic: محمد بن عبدالله بن عبد المطلب ) was a leader from Mecca who unified the tribes of Arabia into a single religious polity under Islam. He is believed by Muslims and Bahá'ís to be a messenger and prophet of God. Muslims believe that Islam was not his own invention but was revealed by God, and most consider him to be the last prophet of God Muslims thus consider him the restorer of an uncorrupted original monotheistic faith (islām) of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and other prophets.
Born in 570 CE in the Arabian city of Mecca, he was orphaned at an early age and brought up under the care of his uncle Abu Talib. He later worked mostly as a merchant, as well as a shepherd, and was first married by age 25. Being in the habit of periodically retreating to a cave in the surrounding mountains for several nights of meditation and prayer, he later reported that it was there, at age 40, that he received his first revelation from God. Three years after this event Muhammad started preaching these revelations publicly, proclaiming that "God is One", that complete "surrender" to Him (lit. islām) is the only way (dīn) acceptable to God, and that he himself was a prophet and messenger of God, in the same vein as other Islamic prophets.

Pharaoh
Pharaoh ( /ˈfeɪ.roʊ/ or /fɛ.roʊ/) is a title used in many modern discussions of the ancient Egyptian rulers of all periods. The title originates in the term "pr-aa" which means "great house" and describes the royal palace. The title of Pharaoh started being used for the king during the New Kingdom, specifically during the middle of the eighteenth dynasty.
Pharaoh, meaning "Great House", originally referred to the king's palace, but by the reign of Thutmose III (ca. 1479-1425 BC) in the New Kingdom, had become a form of address for the person of the king.
The term pharaoh ultimately was derived from a compound word represented as pr-`3, written with the two biliteral hieroglyphs pr "house" and `3 "column". It was used only in larger phrases such as smr pr-`3 'Courtier of the High House', with specific reference to the buildings of the court or palace itself. From the twelfth dynasty onward the word appears in a wish formula 'Great House, may it live, prosper, and be in health', but again only with reference to the royal palace and not the person.

Rashidun Caliphate
The Rashidun Caliphate (Arabic: الخلافة الراشدية al-khilāfat ar-Rāshidīyah), (c. 632-661) comprising the first four caliphs in Islam's history, was founded after Muhammad's death in 632 (Year 10 A.H. in the Islamic calendar). At its height, the Caliphate extended from the Arabian Peninsula, to the Levant, Caucasus and North Africa in the west, to the Iranian highlands and Central Asia in the east. At its greatest extent it was one of the largest empires in history. It is also known as the Patriarchal Caliphate.
After Muhammad's death in 632, the Medinan Ansar debated which of them should succeed him in running the affairs of the Muslims while Muhammad's household was busy with his burial. Umar (a Quraish) and Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah pledged their loyalty to Abu Bakr, with the Ansar and the Quraish soon following suit. Abu Bakr thus became the first Khalifa Rasul Allah (Successor of the Messenger of God), and embarked on campaigns to propagate Islam. First, though, he would have to subdue the Arabian tribes which had gone back on their oaths of allegiance to Islam and the Islamic community. As a Khalifa or Caliph he was not a monarch and never claimed such a title nor did his three successors do so.

Umar (Arabic: عمر ابن الخطاب, Transliteration: `Umar ibn Al-Khattāb, Umar Son of Al-Khittab, c. 586–590 CE– 7 November 644), also known as Omar, Farooq the Great was the most powerful of the four Rashidun Caliphs and one of the most powerful and influential Muslim rulers in history. He was a sahabi (companion) of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He succeeded Caliph Abu Bakr (632–634) as the second Caliph of Rashidun Caliphate on 23 August 634. He was an expert jurist and is best known for his justice, that earned him the title Al-Farooq (The one who distinguishes between right and wrong). Under Umar the Islamic empire expanded at an unprecedented rate ruling the whole Sassanid Persian Empire and more than two thirds of the Eastern Roman Empire. His brilliantly coordinated multi-prong attacks against the Sassanid Persian Empire resulted in the conquest of the Persian empire in less than two years. His legislative abilities and firm political and administrative control over a rapidly expanding empire marked his reputation as a great political and military leader. It was Umar, who for the first time in 500 years since their expulsion from the Holy Land, allowed Jews to practice their religion freely and live inside Jerusalem.[citation needed]

'Yazīd ibn Mu‘āwiya ibn Abī Sufyān, Arabic: يزيد بن معاوية بن أبي سفيان (born 645; died 683), commonly known as Yazid I, was the second Caliph of the Umayyad Caliphate (and the first one by birthright). He ruled for three years from 680 CE until his death in 683 CE. Some Muslims condemn Yazid's rule as contentious and unjust while others maintain that Yazid was a just, noble, religious and administratively efficient ruler and there was every reason available for his nomination by his father Muawiya as a Caliph of Muslims at the relevant time (pl. see page 111-112 of book titled “Hazrat Muawiya and Historical Facts” by Maulana Mufti Taqi Usmani, published by “Idara Al-Mu’arif Karachi, Pakistan”). Yazid was the Caliph as appointed by his father.
Muawiyah I was succeeded by his son Yazid I. Upon succession, Yazid asked Governors of all provinces to take an oath of allegiance to him. The necessary oath was secured from all parts of the country. Husayn ibn Ali and Abdullah ibn Zubayr refused to declare allegiance. Historians have recorded that the contents of a letter sent to Husayn were solely for the purposes of obtaining allegiance from him. Additionally, as Yazid knew that Walid would not be able to handle this task due to his cowardice, he sent Marwan, a soldier in his army, to assist in this task.

Muharram (Arabic: المحرّم) is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sacred months of the year in which fighting is prohibited.[1] Since the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, Muharram moves from year to year when compared with the Gregorian calendar.
Muharram is so called because it is unlawful to fight during this month, the word is derived from the word haraam, meaning "sinful". It is held to be the most sacred of all the months, excluding Ramadan. Some Muslims fast during these days. The tenth day of Muharram is the Day of Ashura, which to Shia Muslims is part of the Mourning of Muharram.
Many Sunni Muslims fast during this day, because it is recorded in the hadith that Musa (Moses) and his people obtained a victory over the Egyptian Pharaoh on the 10th day of Muharram; accordingly Islamic prophet Muhammad asked Muslims to fast on this day, and also a day extra either before or after, so that they are not similar to Jews (since, according to him, Jews used to fast for one day due to the same reason, and many practices recorded in the hadith are specifically performed to avoid any apparent similarity to those of contemporary neighbouring Jews and Christians). Many Muslims cook something sweet like sweet rice and distribute it throughout their family and circle of friends to eat when breaking their fast.
Fasting differs among the Muslim groupings; mainstream Shia Muslims stop eating and drinking during sunlight hours and do not eat until late afternoon. Sunni Muslims also fast during Muharram for the first ten days of Muharram, just the tenth day or on both the ninth and tenth days; the exact term depending on the individual. Shia Muslims do so to replicate the sufferings of Hussein ibn Ali on the Day of Ashura. Shia Muslims, go further in their attempts of replication, including self-flagellation (also see Matam).

Muharram is a month of remembrance that is often considered synonymous with the event of Ashura. Ashura, which literally means the "Tenth" in Arabic, refers to the tenth day of Muharram. It is well-known because of historical significance and mourning for the martyrdom of Hussein ibn Ali, the grandson of Muhammad.[2]
Shias start the mourning from the 1st night of Muharram and continue for two months and eight days. However the last days are the most important since these were the days where Hussein and his family and followers (consisting of 72 people, including women, children and aged people) were killed by army of Yazid I at the Battle of Karbala on his orders, Surviving members of the family of Hussein and that of his followers were taken captive and marched to Damascus and imprisoned there.
Muharram is also observed by Dawoodi Bohras in the same way as Shias.They practice prayers on the sayings of the present dawah of Bohras, Mohammed Burhanuddin. On the tenth day of Muharrum, they pray for Hussein till the magrib namaz. When the namaz ends, Hussein is considered shahid by Yazid. It is also close to the day of resurrection because it said in a book that this world will one day come to an end on Friday 10th of Muharram.[citation needed]
With the sighting of the new moon the Islamic New Year is ushered in. The first month, Muharram is one of the four sacred months that God has mentioned in the Quran.

The Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, and months begin when the first crescent of a new moon is sighted. Since the Islamic lunar calendar year is 11 to 12 days shorter than the solar year, Muharram migrates throughout the solar years. Allama Talib Jauhari is a famous Islamic Scholar, Religious Leader, Public Speaker, Mufassir-e-Quran, Urdu Poet, Historian and Philosopher from the Shi'ite Sect of Islam. Khandan-e-Jauhar[link]
Allama Talib Jauhari belongs to the "Khandan-e-Jauhar" which has produced many[vague] Scholars, Ulama's and Hukma's in the past two centuries. Allama Talib Jauhari is the son of Maulana Muhammad Mustafa Jauhar. Maulana Jauhar was an Islamic Scholar, Philosopher and Poet. Maulana Jauhar wrote books on Falsafah i.e. "Tawheed o Adal Nahj al-Balagha ki roshni mein", "Saboot-e-Khuda" and on Fiqh i.e. "Aqaid-e-Jaafria" & "Asool-e-Jaafria" and "Deewan-e-Mehrab", which was his poetic work.
Famous[citation needed] Alim-e-deen Maulana Hakeem Muhammad Muslim was the Grand Father of Allama Talib Jauhari who vowed to His excellence in Usul al-fiqh and other Islamic science gave him particular prominence amongst the Eminent Scholars of his times. Maulana Hakim Muslim did research work on Islamic eschatology and wrote his book on Falsafah-e-Barzakh i.e. "Alam-e-Barzakh me Halchal".
Allama Talib Jauhari’s sons Allama Asad Jauhari, Allama Riaz Jauhari and Allama Amjad Jauhari and his daughter Mohtarma Husna Jauhari are also following his footprints and spreading the message of Muhammad and his Ahle Bait through Majalis. Among them Allama Asad Jauhari and Allama Amjad Jauhari received religious education from Hawza Ilmia Qom, Iran. Allama Amjad Jauhari has also been awarded with Ijaza-e-Riwayah by notable Ulema from Qom, Iran.

Allama got early education from his father Maulana Jauhar and learnt basic lessons of Hauza from him. Later at the age of 13 years he travelled to Najaf for getting Religious Education. The details are given below.
Hauza-e-Ilmia Najaf-e-Ashraf[link]
At the age of 13 years Allama went to Najaf, Iraq and got admission in Hauza Ilmia Najaf-e-Ashraf. There he studies till the age of 26 years. Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, Maulana Zeeshan Haidar Jawadi, Agha Roohi, Maulana Hameed-ul-Hasan and Allama Aqeel Turabi along with others were his class peers there. During his studies he authored a book on Islamic Economics in Najaf. In 1965, he returned from Iran and did Masters in Islamic Studies from Karachi University. Later he started his career as Principal Jamia Imamia Nazimabad Karachi.
Mashaikh-e-Ijazah[link]
Allama Talib Jauhari is awarded with Ijaza-e-Ijtehad from notable Ulema at the age of 26 years. Those are as below:

Shahid Khamis Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr (آية الله العظمى السيد محمد باقر) awarded him the title of "Allamah".
Jamia Al-Azhar awarded him Ph.D. for his work on Tafseer-e-Quran based upon his lectures named “Fehm-ul-Quran” which were telecasted on Pakistan Television Corporation.
Islamic Orator[link]
Allama Talib Jauhari starting addressing Majlis-e-Aza since he returned back from Iran and is still spreading the teachings of Muhammad and Ahl al-Bayt-e-Muhammad through his Majalis. He is the inventor of his style of oratory in Urdu majalis i.e. Majalis bil Istadlal where his source remain Ayat-e-Qurani to prove his point. He learnt this style from his mentor Allamah Ayatollah Muhammad Husayn Tabatabaei.
He has delivered speeches in Pakistan and abroad on Islamic themes particularly with the reference of the Household of Muhammad.
- Khateeb-e-Sham-e-Ghareeban
Since 1974 after the death of Allamah Rasheed Turabi he started addressing main Muharram majalis in Nishtar Park, Karachi which he continued till 2006. Since 1988 he started addressing Majlis-e-Sham-e-Ghareeban on Pakistan State Television PTV every year and got the title of Khateeb-e-Sham-e-Ghareeban. He is the third one after Allamah Rasheed Turabi and Allama Naseer Ijtehadi who got this title for delivering Majlis-e-Sham-e-Ghareeban on the state television which got telecasted all over Pakistan and now all over the world. Majlis-e-Sham-e-Ghareeban on PTV is still being addressed by Allama Talib Jauhari.
- Karachi University Lectures:
Other than Majalis, Allama delivered special Lectures in Karachi University on Islamic Philosophy upon Karachi University Vice Chancellor's special request as visiting faculty.
- Fehm-ul-Quran Lectures:
He also delivered Lectures on Tafseer-e-Quran at PTV in a program named "Fehm ul Quran" which became the most popular religious program[citation needed] in the history of PTV during 1980s.

Nasir Ali (born January 1 1959 in Sialkot) is a Pakistani field hockey player. He played at fullback position. He was a player in the National hockey team from 1981 to 1988.
He was captain of the Pakistan Hockey Team which finished 5th in the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, after being a member of the Gold Medal-winning team at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. He was capped 150 times and scored 19 goals.[1]
