West Australia is a land of geographic enormity and Natural wonder. Australia belongs to the oldest landmass in the world. Some 100 million years ago, a huge piece broke away from the indigenous continent called Gondwana, and so isolated. Australia preserving a face which has not changed for more than a million years. And this is exactly what Western Australia is all about. The existing civilization is not all that impressive, yet the country’s flora and fauna is phenomenal.

In 1933, two thirds of West Australians voted to leave the Federation, however the proposal was rejected by the British Crown who said it couldn't support it because "it wasn't in the interests of the entire population of Australia".
Emboldened by the hard border, a new secession party has formed in WA ahead of the 2021 state election.
It's not the first time there have been calls for Western Australia to leave the Federation – but is it actually possible and what would it look like?
Reporter Ben Gubana breaks down the case for secession.

Australian authorities have set a Sunday morning court hearing to decide whether tennis star Novak Djokovic will be removed from the country or play in the Australian Open. Australia's government canceled his visa over COVID-19 entry rules for a second time. The grand-slam champion is now back in detention, after another interview with immigration officials.
In the match between Novak Djokovic and the Australian government, the world number one just lost the latest set.
Immigration Minister Alex Hawke said the player's presence could stoke anti-vax sentiment and provoke civil unrest.
A small crowd of supporters gathered outside the arena where the Australian Open is set to start on Monday. But as the Djokovic saga continues to dominate - there's little talk of tennis.
On the streets, sympathy is in short supply.
As the other players gear up for one of the sport's biggest competitions, Sunday's ruling could end Djokovic's winning streak at the Australian Open for years to come.

The legal battle of tennis champion Novak Djokovic is entering yet another set, as Australia again cancels his visa.
The decision comes after the unvaccinated tennis star admitted to lying on his visa application and meeting a journalist while knowing he had COVID.
The world's top tennis player has managed to break the rules and still get his way so far - although as Eric Sorensen explains, it appears Djokovic now won't be able to compete at the Australian Open.

Tennis star Novak Djokovic's hopes of defending his title at the Australian Open are on the rocks as he faces deportation yet again after the Australian government revoked his visa for a second time.
The men's world number one will return to pre-deportation detention at 8am on Saturday (9pm GMT Friday) when he will face immigration officials, Judge Anthony Kelly ordered at a hearing that went late into the night in Melbourne on Friday.
Djokovic - who is in Melbourne for the Australian Open - won a legal battle on Monday against the Australian government's decision to cancel his visa and deport him.
But, just before 6pm (7am UK time) on Friday, and three days before the start of the tennis tournament, immigration minister Alex Hawke announced he would be using his powers under a different section of the law to send the 34-year-old Serb home “on health and good order grounds”.

The Kinks Australia (Australian Single Version) 1969
The rare Australian single version of the 1969 Arthur track Australia. The lengthy noodling at the end of the song was removed and replaced with a repeat of the "We'll surf like they do in the USA" verse. This resulted in probably the most unsubtle edit in the history of pop music (at around 2.08).

The Kinks - Sunny Afternoon (Official Audio)
Official audio for "Sunny Afternoon" by The Kinks.
Originally released as a single on 3rd June 1966, it stayed at number one on the UK singles chart for two weeks, and peaked at No.14 in the US. The track features on the bands fourth studio album Face To Face, released in October 1966.
Face To Face was a major artistic breakthrough for Kinks’ songwriter Ray Davies, the LP represents the first full flowering of Davies’ use of narrative, observation, and wry social commentary in his songs. It heralded The Kinks’ move away from the hard-driving rock and roll style of 1964-65, which had catapulted the group to international stardom. It was the first Kinks album consisting entirely of Ray Davies compositions, and was their first album recorded over several months, rather than in one concentra...

Australia Lyrics:
Opportunities are available in all walks of life in Australia
So if you're young and if you're healthy
Why not get a boat and come to Australia
Australia, the chance of a lifetime
Australia, you get what you work for
Nobody has to be any better than what they want to be
Australia, no class distinction
Australia, no drug addiction
Nobody's got a chip on their shoulder
We'll surf like they do in the U.S.A.
We'll fly down to Sydney for our holiday
On sunny Christmas day
Australia, Australia
No one hesitates at life or beats around the bush in Australia
So if you're young and if you're healthy
Why not get a boat and come to Australia

It was the first Kinks album consisting entirely of Ray Davies compositions, and was their first album recorded over several months, rather than in one concentrated session

Lyrics:
The tax man's taken all my dough,
And left me in my stately home,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
And I can't sail my yacht,
He's taken everything I've got,
All I've got's this sunny afternoon.
Save me, save me, save me from this squeeze.
I got a big fat mama trying to break me.
And I love to live so pleasantly,
Live this life of luxury,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
In the summertime
In the summertime
In the summertime
My girlfriend's run off with my car,
And gone back to her ma and pa,
Telling tales of drunkenness and cruelty.
Now I'm sitting here,
Sipping at my ice cold beer,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
Help me, help me, help me sail away,
Well give me two good reasons why I oughta stay.
'Cause I love to live so pleasantly,
Live this life of luxury,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
In the summertime
In the summertime
In the summertime
Ah, save me, save me, save me from this squeeze.
I got a big fat mama trying to break me.
And I love to live so pleasantly,
Live this life of luxury,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.

Australia Lyrics:
Opportunities are available in all walks of life in Australia
So if you're young and if you're healthy
Why not get a boat and come to Australia
Australia, the chance of a lifetime
Australia, you get what you work for
Nobody has to be any better than what they want to be
Australia, no class distinction
Australia, no drug addiction
Nobody's got a chip on their shoulder
We'll surf like they do in the U.S.A.
We'll fly down to Sydney for our holiday
On sunny Christmas day
Australia, Australia
No one hesitates at life or beats around the bush in Australia
So if you're young and if you're healthy
Why not get a boat and come to Australia
Australia sha-la-la-la sha-la-la-la
Australia sha-la-la-la sha-la-la-la
Everyone walks around with a perpetual smile across their face
Australia sha-la-la-la sha-la-la-la
Australia sha-la-la-la sha-la-la-la
Everyone gets around and nobody can ever get you down
We'll surf like they do in the U.S.A.
We'll fly down to Sydney for our holiday

The Kinks - Apeman 1970
I think I'm sophisticated
cos I'm living my life like a good homosapien
But all around me everybodys multiplying
Till theyre walking round like flies man
So I'm no better than the anI'mals sitting in their cages
In the zoo man
cos compared to the flowers and the birds and the trees
I am an ape man
I think I'm so educated and I'm so civilized
cos I'm a strict vegetarian
But with the over-population and inflation and starvation
And the crazy politicians
I dont feel safe in this world no more
I dont want to die in a nuclear war
I want to sail away to a distant shore
and make like an ape man
I'm an ape man, I'm an ape ape man
I'm an ape man I'm a king kong man I'm ape ape man
I'm an ape man
Cos compared to the sun that sits in the sky
Compared to the clouds as they roll by
Compared to the bugs and the spiders and flies
I am an ape man
In mans evolution he has created the cities and
The motor traffic rumble, but give me half a chance
And I'd be taking off my clothes and living in the jungle
cos the only time that I feel at ease
Is swinging up and down in a coconut tree
Oh what a life of luxury to be like an ape man
I'm an ape, I'm an ape ape man, I'm an ape man
I'm a king kong man, I'm a voo-doo man
I'm an ape man
I look out my window, but I cant see the sky
cos the air pollution is fogging up my eyes
I want to get out of this city alive
And make like an ape man
Come and love me, be my ape man girl
And we will be so happy in my ape man world
I'm an ape man, I'm an ape ape man, I'm an ape man
I'm a king kong man, I'm a voo-doo man
I'm an ape man
I'll be your tarzan, you'll be my jane
I'll keep you warm and youll keep me sane
And well sit in the trees and eat bananas all day
Just like an ape man
I'm an ape man, I'm an ape ape man, I'm an ape man
I'm a king kong man, I'm a voo-doo man
I'm an ape man.
I dont feel safe in this world no more
