SAW 6-MOST SCARY SCENE (+18)
(+18) SAW 6 - Hydrofluoric Acid Eating a man !! (VERY SCARY) Wikepedia : The danger in handling hydrofluoric acid is extreme, as skin saturation with the acid in areas of only 25 square inches (160 cm2) may be relatively painless, yet ultimately fatal. High concentrations of hydrofluoric acid and hydrogen fluoride gas will also quickly destroy the corneas of the eyes. Hydrofluoric acid is an extremely corrosive liquid and is a contact poison

Dissolving Stuff Series: Piranha Solution
See what this deadly solution of sulfuric acid and peroxide can do to a grape. DO NOT ATTEMPT. PIRAHNA SOLUTION EATS THROUGH EVERYTHING THAT CONTAINS CARBON. Note what it did to my wood splint! I did not fully dissolve the grape because the solution was fuming. Also, it would react more violently if I used my 30% peroxide, but I only have a small amount so I didn't want to use it. The series contains: Vid 1: Acetone and styrofoam Vid 2: Pirahna solution and grape Vid 3: Hydrofluoric Acid and glass Vid 4: Aqua Regia and gold Vid 5: Nitric Acid and Copper Vid 6: Sodium Hydroxide and aluminum

Clean Your Glassware with Hydrofluoric Acid
Note: This is NOT part of the "Dissolving Stuff Series", this is an instructional video. Only use this technique as a last resort, after trying other different chemicals to clean your glassware. This time I DO NOT apologise for the sound quality, as my voice echoes because of my face shield. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO WEAR ONE ASWELL. Science Hideout shows proper cleaning techniques on how to wash dirty glassware with hydrofluoric acid.

Dissolve Glass with Drain Cleaner
Using sodium hydroxide (drain cleaner) we dissolve glass. Glass is nearly invulnerable to chemicals and thus why it's the preferred material for chemical containers and reaction vessels. But when exposed to molten sodium hydroxide even glass will dissolve. To perform the reaction a steel container is used as it's resistant to the sodium hydroxide. For more information as well as the reaction equation check out the webpage at: sites.google.com

This is my science project I did for school. I showed it to the class on Thursday, 10/14/10 and 99% of my class laughed and liked it, also my teacher! :D My classmates wanted me to share it again and my teacher also showed the other classes! :) Please rate and comment! If you saw this and know me from my class, please rate and comment! (Just send me a message of your name if you want to tell me. you don't haveto say your name in your comment fr safety reasons) Watch my other videos please!!

South Korean Toxic Leak A "Special Disaster Zone"
The area of the South Korea toxic leak in Gumi City has officially been designated as a "special disaster zone". Full Story: South Korea on Monday has confirmed that the recent toxic chemical leak in Gumi City is a special disaster zone. [Yook Dong-han, Prime Minister's Office, Vice Minister]: "I declare the chemical leak area in Gumi city is designated as a special disaster zone as of today." Yonhap news agency reports that on September 27 around eight tons of hydrofluoric acid leaked from the factory of chemical maker Hube Globe. Hydrofluoric acid is an acute poison that can damage lungs and bones, and affect the nervous system. The leak was caused by an explosion that killed 5 people and injured 18 others. More than 3000 residents have been treated for nausea, chest pain, rashes, sore eyes or sore throats. Hundreds more have been evacuated. Agriculture has also been affected. More than 3000 livestock animals are showing symptoms of illness. Also, crops and fruit on more than 212 hectares of farmlands and orchards have withered. Nancy Drew: The Deadly Device (Blind, Part 17): Hydrofluoric Acid
Part 17 of a blind playthrough for Nancy Drew: The Deadly Device. In this video, Nancy reviews all the puzzles in the lab. She finds a new puzzle, which is a color lock puzzle. Solving this puzzle gets her some hydrofluoric acid, which is needed for the etching solution puzzle. Nancy wastes time, trying to solve that puzzle in the wrong way. Eventually, though, Nancy finds the area where the hyrdofluoric acid should go, and she plays around with the chemicals for a bit. This video contains footage from the Nancy Drew series, made by Her Interactive (www.herinteractive.com). All rights are owned by Her Interactive.

GET COPPER (II) FLUORIDE.
Hello you tube watchers, today I'm going to make copper(II) fluoride. Surfing the net I discovered there's pratically nothing about fluorides if we exclude videos about the dangers of using them in brushing your teeth so for that reason I decided to post something. Cupric fluoride synthesis available at home is able to make just an hydrated salt since the anidrous is more difficult to get. Warning, hydrofluoric acid is highly corrosive for skin and can cause burns, plaese wear gloves during the experience and work outside or in a fumehood. Let's get started. Fill a plastic container with 25 ml of 12% hydrofluoric acid. Do not use glass beakers since HF attacks it and it will corrode your apparatus. Now put about 15 grams of copper hydroxide into the container. If you haven't got it you can get it by mixing two solutions of copper sulphate and sodium hydroxide kept cold, like showed in another of my videos. Then mix: the solution turns from the deep blue colour of the hydroxide to the greenish one of the fluoride. By evaporating it on a burner you will be able to get the salt divided from water. Now, the fluoride got by using the hydroxide contains small impurities of cupric oxide. You can solve the problem using copper carbonate instead of the hydroxide to get a purer stuff. On the photo on the left you see the fluoride obtained by using hydroxide, while on the right the salt got using carbonate. If you have got a different way to operate better than mine don't exitate to ...
