In memory of Jack Hagelin Sept. 04, '02 - Mar. 27, '07 * I posted this video June 03, '06 after he was discharged from the transplant unit. Jack Passed away peacefully surrounded with Love at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, from complications from pneumonia and after a 4 and ½ year battle, a diagnosis of NEMO Primary Immune Deficiency and Ectodermal Displasia, two rare genetic disorders. His treatment included a Stem Cell Bone Marrow transplant. Of the recent changes that the human race has experienced, the increasing population numbers are especially dramatic and worrying coupled with the frightening great and continuous increase in obesity and the resultant diabetes pandemic. A particular amount of attention has been given to the rapid and continuing growth of longevity. Yet our knowledge of the aging process is still very limited as what we observe is the result of a health-destroying lifestyle. Retirement creates invalids. Chronic disease is rampant in old age resulting in such enormous medical costs that should present trends continue, together with the diabetes pandemic, some countries could become bankrupt. Diabetes is already an international public health issue and inactivity is one of the biggest killers. The loss of wasted human potential and wealth is already immense. Successful aging requires work, diet and exercise. The huge mental and physical potential of the aged remains unexplored. Bodies can now be rebuilt at any age and a new life started. Beauty kings and queens in the 80-year-old category or a beach body at the age of 94 are not impossible. We will all, regardless of age, have to take greater responsibility for our own health in order to confront the immense challenges confronting the human race. Ray Charles was born in Georgia and moved to Florida as a child. At the age of 5 he began losing his sight gradually, and by age 7 is completely blind. Florida, he studied at St. Augustine deaf and blind, where he first learned to play the piano. He then moved to Seattle, where he began to be published as a musician. Towards the end of 60's style and diversity to record the songs of rock and roll and pop. Since issued dozens of diverse and successful records, including songs he composed his own songs and performance of others. Ray Charles went on to appear in the 80s and 90s, until his death in 2004. This year was the biographical film "Ray, starring Jamie Foxx, who won the Oscar on the embodiment of Charles. Ray learned his life in various entanglements, especially Bahtamachrotho drugs and betrayals of his wife. Ray also worked for the struggle against racism in Achssarab appear in Georgia which was the separation of races, not the black spectators were allowed to enter the hall with those bricks. A few years later cherished him the state of Georgia when she became the song (written by Hoagy Bix Eviidrebak Carmyekel gained fame performing Ray Charles), "George Yeh my heart" (georgia on my mind) be counted official.
