Oklahoma State Baseball - The Gary Ward Era
A special look back at the Gary Ward era of Oklahoma State Cowboy Baseball, and the "Decade of Dominance" for the Cowboys in the 1980's. Gary Ward was Oklahoma State's head baseball coach from 1978 through 1996 and guided the Cowboys to an unprecedented 16 straight conference titles, 17 NCAA regional appearances and 10 trips to the College World Series. Seven of OSU's World Series appearances (1981-87) were in consecutive years, an NCAA record. The Cowboys also appeared in the NCAA championship game three times under Ward. He compiled a record of 953-313-1 in 19 seasons in Stillwater, before retiring prior to the 1997 campaign. Ward's career record of 1022-361-1 (.739) is 13th best all-time in win percentage and 24th in the NCAA record books in wins. Gary Ward helped Oklahoma State recapture its role among the most respected and well-known programs in the nation. 108 of his players at OSU went on to sign professional contracts and nine were named first team All-America, while countless others received second and third team plaudits during his coaching tenure. Recognized as a leading authority on hitting, Ward's energetic and enthusiastic approach and demonstrations are still in constant demand at baseball clinics throughout the country. Ward came to Oklahoma State in 1977 after seven successful seasons at Yavapai Junior College in Prescott, Ariz. Yavapai won two national championships and Ward finished with a 240-83 record, a winning percentage of .743. Following his two ...

Hard Work by Roy Williams
One of the most respected and successful basketball coaches in the nation, Coach Roy Williams traveled an unlikely path to a career that boasts the highest winning percentage among all active college coaches. Now, for the first time, he tells the story of his life, from his turbulent childhood to the North Carolina Tar Heels' 2009 national championship season. With unbridled honesty, Williams recounts his rough early years in the mountains of Western North Carolina. During the troubled times of his adolescence, Roy's escape was a basketball court—whether it was a neighbor's dirt court or the local school gym where he'd shoot for hours at night. There was nowhere else to go, but as it turned out, no place he'd rather be. The first in his family to go to college, Williams wound up at the University of North Carolina with the dream of becoming a coach and learning under the celebrated Dean Smith. He also recalls his long tenure as head coach at the University of Kansas and his two heart-wrenching decisions—to stay in Kansas at the program he built, and later, to return to UNC, to the one that built him—and the accusations that followed both. Williams' autobiography lays plain how he recruits, teaches, and motivates his players, and how he's shepherded teams through some of the most nail-biting games at both Kansas and UNC. His approach helped earn him the third-highest winning percentage in NCAA history: better than Mike Krzyzewski, Bobby Knight, and even John Wooden. So far ...

[HD] New York Knicks vs Charlotte Bobcats COMPLETE GAME HIGHLIGHTS APR-26-2012
legendinnewyork.com Knicks last game of the regular season and it's against the league's worst team, Charlotte Bobcats. BTW, should Bobcats lose this game, they'll be in the record books for having the lowest win percentage of any NBA basketball team in the history of NBA. Will the Knicks give the Cats a win so they won't make a fool of Michael Jordan's team? Probably.....not. Game was close in the first 2 quarters but Bobcats just couldn't hang with a regular NBA team, it seems. They were out scored, out rebounded, out hustled by the more talented Knicks with a few great posterization added to that list. Bobcats now officially have the NBA's worst win percentage, ever. And that's how Knick's regular season ended, on a historic note, sort of. Knicks secure the 7th seat for the playoffs and they're up against the Miami Heat on Saturday. Good luck out there. Chess Openings - Elephant Opening
Hey guys. I just wanted to show an interesting opening I ran into. If you are Matt Pullin or jrobi: Thanks for inspiring me to do a chess video! GreenCastleBlack has mentioned that there is an Elephant Opening game in mjsharks videos and you can watch that here: www.youtube.com This video is about the Elephant Opening, an opening for black The Elephant opening is characterised by the following short move order: 1. e4 e5 2. nf3 d5!? Now the reason why this move d5 gets a questionable (!?) is because, at below Master level play at least, it has a quite respectable win percentage for black. The reason I am focusing on this particular opening is because when I was testing wiibrew chess (link in sidebar wiibrew.org it was the opening that the Wii used against me and it absolutely threw me having never seen it before. In that game, I got stomped by the Elephant The reason being: All I could see after 3. exd5 was ... Qxd5 and I could gain tempo on the Queen with 4. Nc3, attacking the Queen. After a horrific defeat in under 15 moves by the computer, I went back to the drawing board to work out just what exactly went wrong. I couldnt find alot of solid material about the opening, so I decided to strike out on my own and see if I could discover the concepts of the Elephant Opening. Psychologically: The opening appears to be a pointless sacrifice. This is one of the Elephant openings strengths and one reason behind its good lower-level win percentage. Unlike its White counterpart ...

TENDULKAR SARI UMER BACHOON KO MAR MAR KAY PLAYER BANA HAI KITNI MATCH WNNING INNINGS HAIN???? KYA????AWAZ NAI A RAHI????hahahaha INZAMAM WAS MUCH MUCH BETTER MATCH WINNER THAN TENDULKAR WILL EVER BE.... Inzamam's total number of centuries in the test cricket is 25 of which 17 centuries have helped Pakistan to win tests and the winning percentage is 68.When the Australian skipper Ricky Ponting taking into account, from his 38 test centuries, 24 have converted to test match-winning knocks and the percentage amounts to 63.But Sachin Tendulkar scored 42 test centuries of which 16 have helped India in winning tests and the percentage amounts to only 38. Ricky Ponting cuts to the point The most important comparison is the number of centuries in the second innings.Out of 6 centuries of Ricky Ponting, 5 have helped Australia in winning tests and the percentage is 83.Inzamam had 4 match-winning centuries out of 6 centuries. That is 66%.But Tendulkar have scored 10 centuries of which only 3 have helped India in winning matches and the percentage amounts only to 30.

TPiR 12/8/08: Exciting Switcheroo
Not the greatest playing by any means, and Drew still says he doesn't care about winning the small prizes, but at least he mentions their importance in getting the car. The more chronic problem still is the lack of mentioning a bailout ("You can change nothing if you want" isn't the right way - explicitly state 30 seconds aren't even needed to be put up on the clock). On the other hand, 'Roo still has a poor winning percentage in the Drew era, despite the above. So she lost here...right? ;)

"Roger, don't worry, it's not your last final," Nalbandian joked. "You're going to win a lot of tournaments, so let me keep this one."

STEVEN LUEVANO vs BERNABE CONCEPCION
Since knocking out the undefeated Nicky Cook in 2007 and winning the World Boxing Organization title, 27-year-old featherweight Steven Luevano has had to battle four times during the last two years against opponents whose combined winning percentage was 94 percent. Although demure and reserved outside the ring, the East Los Angeles native is anything but when he steps into the ring. Luevano (36-1-1, 15 KOs) will doubtlessly come prepared for battle when he squares off against the Freddie Roach-trained Bernabe Concepcion (29-1-1, 17 KOs). A native of Rizal, Philippines, Concepcion enters his first world championship fight riding a four-year, 22-bout unbeaten streak. The two brawlers will collide during a headlining match as part of Top Rank's latest series, Pinoy Power 2, set for Saturday, Aug. 15, at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas.
