"Going Down" - Freddie King
From his 1971 record, "Getting Ready," which was largely written and produced by Leon Russell and features Duck Dunn on bass. Russell wrote "Going Down," as part of an attempt to introduce Freddie to more of a "rock audience" through this record.

Sunset Strip Music Festival 2009
The Sunset Strip Music Festival was created in 2008 to preserve, promote and perpetuate the legendary Sunset Strip music experience. In 2009, The Sunset Strip was closed for the first time to feature The Strip as an outdoor music venue during the festival. The event included two outdoor stages with performances by Ozzy Osbourne, Korn, Pepper, Kottonmouth Kings, Shiny Toy Guns, Shwayze, LMFAO, The Donnas, Unwritten Law, Fishbone and 40 additional artists in the music venues! The event attracted 10,000 music fans to The Strip for a full day of music.
The three-day event also honored rock icon Ozzy Osbourne with a tribute event at House of Blues, featuring a performance by Camp Freddy and a declaration by the City of West Hollywood that Sept. 10, 2009, was Ozzy Osbourne Day.
SSMF 2010 is scheduled for August 26-28. The event will honor legendary guitarist SLASH on Aug. 26. Performances in the venues Friday, Aug. 27 include P.O.D. @ Whisky, Unwritten Law @ Key Club, Warner Drive @ Viper Room, The Outline & Goldenstate @ Cat Club, Kix @ House of Blues. Saturday, Aug. 28 the music takes over the street with performances by The Smashing Pumpkins, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & Fergie, Common, Kid Cudi, Travie McCoy, Neon Trees, Semi Precious Weapons, Steel Panther, Big B + more than 50 bands throughout the day!

It’s not everyday that we get a green light from one of our couples to turn their wedding video into a mini action film of some sort. But yes, Ayong and Isabella did just that! Trying out this different approach for the very first time was quite daunting. But we’re so glad Ayong and Isabella we’re all game for the crazy ideas we managed to come up with. Don’t worry though, we made sure the blood and gore were downplayed to a minimum so their guests can still enjoy the food…along with the show! Cheers to first kisses, first dances and first attempts!

Freddie King - Hide away.wmv
Guitarist Freddie King rode to fame in the early '60s with a spate of catchy instrumentals which became instant bandstand fodder for fellow bluesmen and white rock bands alike. Employing a more down-home (thumb and finger picks) approach to the BB King single-string style of playing, King enjoyed success on a variety of different record labels. Furthermore, he was one of the first bluesmen to employ a racially integrated group on-stage behind him. Influenced by Eddie Taylor, Jimmy Rogers, and Robert Jr. Lockwood, King went on to influence the likes of Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Lonnie Mack, among many others. Freddie King (who was originally billed as "Freddy" early in his career) was born and raised in Gilmer, TX, where he learned how to play guitar as a child; his mother and uncle taught him the instrument. Initially, King played rural acoustic blues, in the vein of Lightin' Hopkins. By the time he was a teenager, he had grown to love the rough, electrified sounds of Chicago blues. In 1950, when he was 16 years old, his family moved to Chicago, where he began frequenting local blues clubs, listening to musicians like Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Little Walter, and Eddie Taylor. Soon, the young guitarist formed his own band, the Every Hour Blues Boys, and was performing himself. In the mid-'50s, King began playing on sessions for Parrott and Chess Records, as well as playing with Earlee Payton's Blues Cats and the Little Sonny ...
