Manchester United 2-0 Arsenal | The FA Cup 6th Round
Manchester United vs Arsenal, R6, The FA Cup 6th Round - 12/03/11 Manchester United extended their unbeaten home run against Arsenal to seven games as they sealed their place in the semi finals of this season's FA Cup with a 2-0 victory. Goals from Fabio da Silva and Wayne Rooney won the game for the home side and dumped Arsene Wenger's men out of a third competition in two weeks, leaving them with only the Premier League to concentrate on. Sir Alex Ferguson surprised many before kick-off by naming a totally new midfield compared to the one from last weekend's defeat to Liverpool. Darron Gibson, John O'Shea, Fabio and Rafael da Silva all started as the United boss made five changes to his line-up. Nemanja Vidic returned to bolster the defence with Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez partners in attack. Ecuadorian winger Antonio Valencia returned to the United first-team squad after being named on the substitutes' bench following five months out with a broken ankle. Gunners boss Wenger made four changes to the side that lost to Barcelona in midweek with Kieran Gibbs replacing Gael Clichy and Manuel Almunia in for the injured Wojciech Szczesny. Denilson was recalled in place of the injured Cesc Fabregas, and Andrey Arshavin was selected instead of Tomas Rosicky but Robin van Persie was fit enough to start in attack.

Arsenal 5-0 Leyton Orient | The FA Cup 5th Round
The FA Cup - Nicklas Bendtner's classy hat-trick booked an enticing FA Cup quarter-final at Manchester United as Arsenal knocked aside Leyton Orient. Marouane Chamakh slotted an early opener before Bendtner's superb header, then a curling finish, put Arsenal's second-string in command. Bendtner's cool third came from the penalty spot after Kieran Gibbs was tripped by Alex Revell in the box. Substitute Gael Clichy then lashed in low with 15 minutes remaining. League One Orient were routinely swept aside in this fifth-round replay, but Arsenal's crushing disappointment from Sunday's failure to collect their first trophy since 2005 - after losing the Carling Cup final to Birmingham - was hard to hide at a muted Emirates Stadium. The hosts initially looked like they lacked a spring in their step, but fears of further agony evaporated in the seventh minute with a goal of typical Arsenal quality. Irish debutant Conor Henderson - another ball-playing midfielder - probed for a gap through the back-line and the 19-year-old's deflected pass was pounced on by Tomas Rosicky, who sped to the byeline to clip a square ball through the legs of Charlie Daniels across the box. Moroccan striker Chamakh held his position to coolly side-foot the ball through the legs of Terrell Forbes from eight yards out, right into the corner of the net, for his first goal since the end of November. Orient hit back soon after as Ignasi Miquel's poor headed clearance fell for Ben Chorley. But his full ...

Birmingham City 2-3 Bolton | The FA Cup 6th Round
Birmingham City vs Bolton Wanderers, R6, The FA Cup 6th Round - 12/03/11 Kevin Davies stirred memories of Nat Lofthouse as the barrel-chested Bolton striker bludgeoned his team into the FA Cup semi-finals at St Andrews on Saturday. But the visitors owed as much to their extraordinary goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen as to their talismanic captain. Jaaskelainen produced the save of the day when he touched a diagonal drive from Kevin Phillips against his right post. He also made two immaculate interceptions with his feet that served as an example to many of the outfielders on an afternoon of grim tackling. The first went virtually unnoticed in the opening period, but the second caused uproar as he raced out to challenge Cameron Jerome. The Finn poked the ball away before the two men collided amid clamour for a rightly denied penalty. As the only survivor of the Bolton side beaten on penalties by Aston Villa in their last semi-final appearance 11 years ago, Jaaskelainen had more reason than most to celebrate after his 500th appearance for the club. Birmingham, despite missing nine first-choice players and losing two men through injury in the opening half-hour, played with enormous spirit but equally great naivety. Manager Alex McLeish said: "You couldn't ask for more in terms of commitment and effort, but we were a bit sloppy and they were silly goals. "We came back twice and I felt we deserved a replay, but they undid us right at the end."

Man City 4-2 Leicester | The FA Cup 3rd Round Replay - 18/01/11
The FA Cup Third Round - Sven-Goran Eriksson's Eastlands return ended in disappointment as Manchester City edged past his Leicester side in an FA Cup third-round replay. Carlos Tevez's rifled effort put the home side ahead only for Paul Gallagher to level from the penalty spot. Two goals in 90 seconds - from Patrick Vieira and Adam Johnson - swung the game in the home side's favour, before Chris Weale saved a Tevez penalty. Lloyd Dyer gave Leicester late hope but Aleksandar Kolarov sealed the home win.

Manchester City Celebrate | The FA Cup Final 2011
FATV - The Man City team celebrate their first piece of silverware in 35 years. Yaya Toure was the hero for Manchester City on the day as his second-half pile-driver won The FA Cup for the club for the first time since 1969, and their first piece of silverware in 35 years. It was the midfielder's goal against Manchester rivals United in the Semi-Final that saw them reach Wembley again 30 years after the club lost in The Final to Tottenham, and the former Barcelona man stepped up again to clinch victory with an unstoppable strike against the resilient Stoke City.

Behind the scenes of the FA Cup draw with Serge and Noel
FATV Exclusive - Behind the scenes footage of the FA Cup 3rd round draw featuring Noel Gallagher and Serge Pizzorno who confirmed their status as 'supreme beings' by engineering fate and setting up their dream FA Cup tie on Sunday. Manchester City fan Gallagher, of Oasis fame, and die-hard Leicester City supporter Pizzorno, the creative force behind Kasabian, were stunned when their fantasy fixture became a reality. The creative pair were at Wembley to make the draw for the Third Round Proper and the song-writing duo could not have written a better version of events. The Kasabian axe-man, who regularly performs in front of tens of thousands of fans, admitted that the co-incidence shredded his already jangling nerves.

Southampton 1-2 Man Utd | The FA Cup 4th Round - 29/01/11
Southampton v Man Utd, R4, 17:15 The FA Cup 4th Round - 29/01/11 The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON Saturday 29 - Sunday 30 January 2011 Fourth round weekend Manchester United needed to draw on all their resources as they came from behind to beat Southampton and progress to the last 16 of the FA Cup. Michael Owen hit a post with a cross before League One Saints shocked the Premier league leaders when Richard Chaplow crashed home a fierce drive. The lead was cancelled out when Owen nodded in from close range. And Javier Hernandez finished clinically after being put in by Ryan Giggs to complete United's comeback. But the home side can look back with pride on a performance that boasted good football and a lot of heart. Looking far from overawed throughout, they frequently took the game to the visitors, but it was Saints' lack of a cutting edge and United's superior finishing that proved the difference in the end. From the start Southampton played with belief, perhaps sensing that there could be gaps in United's unfamiliar defensive line-up - none of their regular back five were even in the squad. But the League One side's early endeavours brought only two well-struck but off-target free-kicks and a snap shot from Rickie Lambert. With the game crying out for width, the home fans roared on winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain whenever he touched the ball, but he was unable to show why he is a £10m target for Liverpool and Arsenal.

Amazing Henry Goal on Return to Arsenal - Arsenal 1-0 Leeds Utd | FA Cup 3rd Round Proper 09-01-12
Subscribe to the Official FA Cup channel - goo.gl Thierry Henry scores against Leeds on his return to Arsenal. Arsenal 1-0 Leeds United The FA Cup with Budweiser Third Round Proper 7.45pm, Monday 9 January 2012 Emirates Stadium, Arsenal FC French legend Thierry Henry only joined the Gunners on loan from US outfit New York Red Bulls late last week and had to be content with a place on the bench to start with, but with the game all square with over an hour played and the crowd chanting for the introduction of their hero, boss Arsene Wenger had little to lose. And it certainly paid off, as the 77th minute winner was classic Henry, right from the way he collected a pass on the left-hand side of the area with one of his first touches of the game before caressing it with his right foot across the goal and into the far corner. It's been seen many times before in north London and it was no real surprise to see it happen again, once Alex Song had rolled the ball into space for Henry. Henry's triumphant return will certainly take the headlines and it saved the night for Wenger too, as up until that moment the game had offered little as a spectacle and Leeds could consider themselves unfortunate not to have earned a replay at Elland Road, just as they did a year ago at the same stage of the competition. Man Utd 1-0 Crawley | The FA Cup 5th Round
Manchester United v Crawley town, R5 The FA Cup 5th Round - 19/02/11 The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON Crawley Town's dream of causing an FA Cup shock ended in defeat at Old Trafford - but not before the ambitious non-league club had given Manchester United a major scare. Sir Alex Ferguson's Premier League leaders were fortunate Wes Brown's first-half header gave them a lead to protect as they were forced to survive a late assault from a side 93 places below them on the domestic football ladder. Blue Square Bet Premier side Crawley - backed noisily throughout by 9000 supporters who made the journey from Sussex - were unlucky not to earn a deserved replay as David Hunt and Matt Tubbs missed late chances to equalise. The closest call of all came in the dying moments when Richard Brodie's looping header hit the bar and bounced to safety with United keeper Anders Lindegaard beaten. United, undistinguished and uninspired throughout, hung on and Crawley deservedly took the plaudits in front of their own fans at the final whistle, with Sergio Torres slipping a blade of Old Trafford's grass into his sock as a keepsake from a memorable occasion.

West Ham 5-1 Burnley | The FA Cup 5th Round
West Ham vs Burnley, R5, The FA Cup 5th Round - 21/02/11 The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON West Ham strolled into an FA Cup sixth-round tie at Stoke with a comprehensive win over Championship outfit Burnley. Thomas Hitzlsperger, making his long-awaited Hammers debut, opened the scoring with a trademark thunderbolt. Carlton Cole looked to be offside and to have handled the ball when he slotted home before his classy lob over Clarets keeper Lee Grant made it 3-0. In between Winston Reid's header and Freddie Sears' fine high finish, Jay Rodriguez was gifted a consolation. While Burnley had chances to exploit the home side's shaky defence, the cups continue to liberate the east Londoners, who have recorded three more wins in knockout competitions than in the Premier League this season. But, despite the crushing scoreline, it was the visitors who made the more promising start and Rodriguez should have punished the hesitant Reid after only 13 minutes but the Clarets striker spurned the opportunity with a tame shot. Moments later West Ham goalkeeper Robert Green spared his side's blushes when he parried Ross Wallace's fizzing shot from the edge of the penalty area, before making a brilliant reaction save as Rodriguez tried to steer in the rebound from close-range. After failing to take their opportunities, Burnley were on the back foot as the Hammers finally found some rhythm. The midfield trio of Scott Parker, Mark Noble and Hitzlsperger, who was making his first competitive start ...

Arsenal 3-1 Leeds United | The FA Cup 3rd Round Replay - 19/01/11
The FA Cup 3rd Round Replay - Arsenal produced a clinical performance at Championship side Leeds to book their place in the FA Cup fourth round. The Gunners were impressive throughout and took an early lead when Samir Nasri slotted in from Andrey Arshavin's pass. Kasper Schmeichel brilliantly denied Marouane Chamakh before Bacary Sagna thumped home a second, though Bradley Johnson's amazing strike halved the deficit. Davide Somma's effort flew wide before Robin van Persie headed in a superb Nicklas Bendtner cross to settle it. Everton 1-1 Chelsea | The FA Cup 4th Round - 29/01/11
Everton v Chelsea, R4, 12:30 The FA Cup 4th Round - 29/01/11 The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON Saturday 29 - Sunday 30 January 2011 Fourth round weekend Salomon Kalou's second-half strike earned Chelsea a home replay against Everton in the FA Cup fourth round. Louis Saha gave the Toffees the lead when he headed past Petr Cech from Leighton Baines' right-wing corner. But substitute Kalou equalised for the visitors within five minutes of coming on when he slotted in from 12 yards. Ramires hit the home side's post with a shot late on, while Nicolas Anelka was denied by Tim Howard and Jack Rodwell had an effort saved by Cech. Chelsea, looking to become the first team to win three successive FA Cup titles since Blackburn in the 1880s, and Everton, without a trophy since their triumph in the competition in 1995, both fielded strong sides. Ironically, the west Londoners' record run began against the Merseysiders in 2009 and nine of the XI that started at Wembley were back on duty almost 20 months on from that showpiece occasion. Although a little older and perhaps a yard slower, Chelsea's class of 2011 are still a potent outfit and caused Everton problems on the break, as highlighted by the equaliser, even though manager David Moyes' side had the majority of the possession in midfield. Anelka, not as sharp as he has been in previous seasons, should have scored late in the first half when he was played in by Ramires, but fired his low shot at American keeper Howard, who anticipated ...

Leyton Orient 1-1 Arsenal | The FA Cup 5th Round
Leyton Orient vs Arsenal, R5, The FA Cup 5th Round - 20/02/11 The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON Jonathan Tehoue's stunning 89th minute equaliser earned League One side Leyton Orient an unlikely FA Cup fifth round replay with Arsenal. The Gunners had dominated possession for most of the tie and thought Tomas Rosicky's second-half header would be enough to set up a quarter-final clash with Manchester United. But Orient, who came into the match on the back of an incredible run of only one defeat in their last 20 games, never gave up and got their reward when substitute Tehoue bulldozed his way through two challenges and buried his shot past Manuel Almunia. It had already been a frustrating day for the Gunners, who came to Brisbane Road on the back of their midweek Champions League win over Barcelona looking to maintain their push for silverware on four fronts. This game was always going to be a very different test to the clash with the Spaniards, especially since Gunners boss Arsene Wenger picked a very different team, making 10 changes. Alex Song was the only survivor of that victory in the starting XI at Brisbane Road but a side containing Rosicky, Andrey Arshavin and Marouane Chamakh should still have seen off Orient with ease. But they did not, mainly because of a lack of urgency in the final third, and some poor finishing when they did turn their vastly superior possession into chances. Too often, they were kept at arms length - Nicklas Bendtner and Chamakh failed to trouble ...

FATV match highlights of The FA Cup second round - Adam Birchall scored twice as Dover Athletic stunned League Two Aldershot to progress to the FA Cup third round for the first time in their history. Wade Small had several chances to give the Shots the lead, but could not find a way past home keeper Ross Flitney. Birchall made the visitors pay when he picked the ball up outside the area and placed a fine shot into the corner. And Danny Hylton's handball allowed Birchall to slot in a penalty to seal Dover's place in the third round. The home side thought they had taken an early lead, but Olly Schulz's header was ruled out for offside. Birchall could have had a hat-trick, but had earlier scuffed a shot wide after he had turned Town defender Darren Jones. Aston Villa v Blackburn, R4, 13:00 The FA Cup 4th Round - 29/01/11 The FA Cup sponsored by E.ON Saturday 29 - Sunday 30 January 2011 Fourth round weekend Robert Pires scored his first goal for Aston Villa as they saw off Blackburn to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup. Ciaran Clark nodded Villa ahead but Rovers were quickly level as Nikola Kalinic bundled home from close range. Veteran winger Pires restored Villa's lead with a sweet half-volley before Nathan Delfouneso's header made it 3-1. Martin Olsson fired against the bar for Rovers but, even after Villa had Nathan Baker sent off for a wild tackle, Blackburn rarely threatened a comeback. The home side's victory continues their recent revival, despite their manager Gerard Houllier fulfilling a pre-match pledge to rotate his squad, and maintains their recent dominance over Rovers in cup competitions.

Leicester 2-2 Man City | The FA Cup 3rd Round - 09/01/11
Sunday, 9 January 2011 Leicester v Manchester City, R3, 16:00 Andy King struck the equaliser as Leicester deservedly took big-spending Manchester City to a replay after a pulsating FA Cup third-round tie. The Foxes took the lead inside a minute when new signing Sol Bamba stabbed home from inside the six-yard box. James Milner levelled with a crisp left-foot strike on 23 minutes before Carlos Tevez scored just before the break with a clever close-range finish. King pounced after keeper Joe Hart spilled a cross in the 64th minute. Sven-Goran Eriksson's Championship team produced an enterprising performance that, at times, had their Premier League opponents firmly on the back foot.
