Manchukuo Japanese China Propaganda Film
Manchukuo, or "State of Manchuria", was a puppet state comprised of Eastern Inner Mongilia and Manchuria. Created by the former Qing Dynasty Emperor and Imperial Japan in 1932, it ceased to exist after the defeat of Japan in WWII. The international furor that resulted from the creation of the state of Manchukuo, eventually led Japan to withdraw from the League of Nations. This propaganda film shows the newly-created state, with a focus on how the Japanese are improving the lives of average citizens and bringing industry and railroads to what was a rural state. This movie is part of the Periscope Film LLC archive, one of the largest private military film archives in the USA, and available for stock footage licensing. All material is film backed and available in 24p HD. For more information visit www.PeriscopeFilm.com

NATIONAL ANTHEM OF Manchukuo
Manchukuo ("State of Manchuria") was a puppet state in Manchuria and eastern Inner Mongolia created by former Qing Dynasty officials with help from Imperial Japan in 1932. The state was founded and administered by Imperial Japan, with Puyi, the last Qing emperor, as the nominal regent and emperor. Manchukuo's government was abolished in 1945 after the defeat of Imperial Japan at the end of World War II. Despite the name, Manchus were only a minority in Manchukuo, whose largest ethnic group were Han Chinese. There were also Koreans, Japanese, Mongols and smaller minorities. The Mongol regions of western Manchukuo were ruled under a slightly different system in acknowledgement of the Mongolian traditions there.

Manchukuo
Manchukuo was the state established under Japanese protection in Manchuria following the Mukden incident of 1932. The last Emperor of China, who was of the Manchurian dynasty, was taken to Manchukuo to become the "Chief Executive". In 1934 he was enthroned as "Emperor Kang Teh of the Great Empire of Manchuria" (大滿洲帝國). However, only Japan's Axis allies and a few minor countries ever recognized Manchukuo was a legitimate state rather than a Japanese puppet. The last Emperor hoped he could use the Japanese to start the process of restoring the Great Qing Empire across the whole of China but the Japanese goal was for Manchukuo to be the first client state in their "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere". During its life Manchukuo had two prime ministers; Zheng Xiaxu and Zhang Jinghui. In 1945 the Soviet Red Army invaded Manchuria, just prior to the Japanese surrender, captured the Emperor and soon all of Manchuria reverted to Chinese republican rule.

Emperor Kang Teh of Manchukuo
Aisin-Gioro Pu-Yi, formerly Emperor Xuantong of the Great Qing was returned to his ancestral homeland of Manchuria and on March 1, 1932 was installed as 'Chief Executive' of the Manchu State. In 1934, he was officially enthroned as emperor of the "Great Manchu Empire" with the reign name of Kang Teh (康德). Despite public solidarity he often clashed with the Japanese sponsors of the state. The Emperor's brother, Prince Pu-Chieh was named heir to the throne after his marriage to a Japanese princess. At the end of World War II the Emperor Kang Teh was forced to abdicate as Soviet troops invaded in 1945, after the atomic bombing of Japan.
