Street Food: China Fast Food
This street vendor sells a popular street food snack called Jian Bing. This is a popular snack in northern parts of China. I was surprised this popular snack was being sold in southern China, in the city of Guangzhou. When I had the videocam on her, people were equally as interested in my video activity as they were in ordering a Jian Bing.

Malaysian Street Food Tour in Kuala Lumpur
Get a copy of my street food guide now: migrationology.com (CLICK HERE)!!! Malaysian street food is amazingly delicious and Kuala Lumpur is full of food everywhere you look! The first dish in the video is known as Nasi Campur, a truly delightful Malaysian street food that consists of a giant plate of rice accompanied by an assortment of various side dishes. I chose fish curry, chili tofu and a bunch of other delicious vegetables and garnished. Next I stopped at a famous place near Little India in Kuala Lumpur to eat an Ikan Bakar grilled fish. It was grilled in some kind of chili sauce and served with a limey chili sauce that was absolutely spectacular. When it began to rain, I decided to drink a cup of milk tea teh tarik, one of the most famous beverages in Malaysia. The next meal was at Hameed's a restaurant specializing in Indian style Malaysian street food known as Nasi Kandar. Along with a plate of rice covered in curries, I aslo ordered a plate of biryani, and a side of tandoori chicken and plan naan. I couldn't leave Kuala Lumpur without eating the absolute mos comforting Malaysian street food: Nasi Lemak. After searching around, I finally found it at an outdoors restaurant. It wasn't the best nasi lemak I've ever had, but it sure wasn't bad! Hope you enjoyed this Malaysian street food tour in Kuala Lumpur! Street Food - Beijing - 14 July 08 - Part 1
China's economy is expanding at an astounding rate - but its waistlines are too. The food of the streets tells the story of a culture torn between tradition and modernity, the customs of an ancient past competing with the convenience age of the new. What will survive and what will be lost? In a China which has gone within two generations from mass starvation to mass obesity, what does the future hold?

Street Food in Israel
www.israel.org Food for thought on Israel's streets Street food is enjoying a revival around the world ... and the Israeli street is packed with mouth-watering morsels. If you enjoy food, then in Israel you don't have to splash out on expensive restaurants, instead you can enjoy one of the many inexpensive eateries that line the streets of the country's cities and towns. Fresh, authentic and quintessentially Mideast fare is on offer -- from falafel, deep-fried balls of mashed chickpeas, fava beans and herbs; to shwarma, slices of turkey, chicken or lamb shaved off a huge slab of meat rotating on a big spit; or hummus, a spread made of crushed chickpeas, tehini sauce, lemon, olive oil, salt and garlic. For the connoisseurs, there's also sabich, a sandwich made of fried eggplant, hard-boiled egg, salad and a mango pickle; shakshuka, a pan-fried casserole of poached eggs and spicy tomato sauce; or bourekas, pastry dough stuffed with mushrooms, mashed potato, spinach or cheese. In an age when fast food has become synonymous with junk food, Israel's street food vendors are proving that fast food doesn't have to be tasteless or unhealthy. Bangkok Street Food Tours: Wang Lang Market ตลาดวังหลัง
Get your copy of the Eating Thai Food Guide NOW: www.eatingthaifood.com (Click Link) Bangkok is a city full of delicious cuisine but one of my all time favorite spots for eating is the Wang Lang Market (ตลาดวังหลัง) located adjacent to Siriraj Hospital in central Bangkok. Along with a clothing market, there are a host of cheap sit down restaurants and countless street carts serving some of the tastiest Bangkok street food tours. In this video I start off by taking the boat from Tha Chang pier near Bangkok's famous Grand Palace (and Wat Phra Kaew), which costs just 3 Thai Baht and takes just 2 minutes, across the Chao Phraya River. As soon as you get off the boat, the Wang Lang Market is right there, ready to be explored. The first thing I sample is from a small street cart serving what I think is some of the best deep fried pork (moo tod หมูทอดชาววัง) in Bangkok. It's moist and and extremely flavorful and goes very well with a bag of black sticky rice. After that I sit down at one of the many Isaan food restaurants and ordered som tam Thai kai kem, regular papaya salad (som tam thai), smoked catfish salad, and nam tok made with beef. Wang Lang Market wouldn't be the same without a few sweet treats too. There are many Thai desserts to choose from, but I chose to try one of the most famous Khanom Tungtag (ขนมถังแตก) stalls in all of Bangkok. The dessert is similar to a waffle that is cooked on a griddle and then topped with sweetened shreds of coconut. Taking a Bangkok ...

Thai Street Food - Chiang Mai Night Market
Another serving of Thai Street Food. This time we're at the Chiang Mai Sunday night market. It is a must-attend event in a must-see city. The opening and closing shots are of the Chiang Mai classic, Sai Krok - a sausage combining pork and ALL of the "special" Thai cooking ingredients - fish sauce, lemon grass, cilantro, coriander seed, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, thai chilis, etc. The same flavor ingredients that create Tom Yum stock - but in a grilled porky sausage form. So very very good. Check out Thai Street Food 1 - Bangkok here: youtu.be

Hot Chicks of Occupy Wall Street
A lot of fantastic media has been created about the "Occupy" movement. I was watching one video in particular and commented to a friend, "Wow, seeing all those super smart hot chicks at the protest makes me want to be there." He replied, "Hmmm... Yeah, let's go with that."
We instantly went to Tumblr and made http://hotchicksofoccupywallstreet.tumblr.com. Our original ideas were admittedly sophomoric: Pics of hot chicks being all protesty, videos of hot chicks beating drums in slow-mo, etc. But when we arrived at Zuccotti Park in New York City, it evolved into something more.
There was a vibrant energy in the air, a warmth of community and family, and the voices we heard were so hopeful and passionate. Pretty faces were making signs, giving speeches, organizing crowds, handing out food, singing, dancing, debating, hugging and marching.
It made me want to pack my bags and pitch a tent on Wall Street. And it's in the light that we created this video.
And we hope it makes you want to be there too.
EDIT: Apparently a lot of controversy has erupted online from people passionately opining (among many things) that this is sexist, offensive, and dangerously objectifies women. It was not my intent to do that and I think the spirit of the video, and the voices within, are honorable and inspiring.
However, if you disagree with me, I encourage you to use that as an excuse to create constructive discussions about the issues you have. Because, to be honest, any excuse is a good excuse to bring up the topic of women’s rights.

What is Outsiders?
More than 20 years ago in the hills of Japan, the rules of driving began to be re-written. Over this time to the present, Japan has always been at the forefront of drifting. From the streets in the cities to the Touge passes in the mountains to the dedicated drifting circuits, one thing never changes - Drifting is fun. It is the reason every driver we met does it. Not for the fame or the glory, not for money, not for corporate support, but just pure thrills.
Join Phil Morrison and James Robinson from Driftworks, Mitto Steele from MeiNoMai and Pieter Gouwy from Garage Portello on a stunning tour of the real drift scene in Japan. Forget everything else you've seen up to now, professionally filmed in glorious HD and being released on Blu-Ray (and DVD) Outsiders aims to bring you an in-depth, fun, technical and fascinating documentary look into who the drifters are, what they drive and how they do it.
See the guys visiting the whole of the south prefecture of Japan including Bihoku, Suzuka Twin and Meihan, plus the crazy city of Nagoya and the surrounding areas and much much more. We capture one of the most insane nights of street drifting for the first time using professional equipment at night. We visit some of the biggest (and smallest) shops in the business including Bee*R, Mind Control, Kids Heart, 326 Power and V-Factory. We hang out with D1 legends and current drivers and discuss how the sport is changing with the separation of D1 and Drift Muscle. We talk about the way the cars are setup and we get a very rare look at the underside and technical details behind some of the most famous drift cars in the world. Let's not forget the road trips, the food, running from the police, the karaoke, the highs and the lows. And we've barely scratched the surface.
This is set to be the most complete drifting documentary ever filmed, and you have the chance to be a part of it.
Available as a 2 Disc Collectors box set - you'll get both the BluRay and the DVD together, plus a special outsiders sticker pack and a few more goodies. Shipping is worldwide.

DC is one of the most difficult places to shoot. No tripods, no fancy equipment, only a single camera.
After planning my shots and figuring out what time would be best to shoot, I went out and started this HDR Time-lapse production.
During the course of the shoot I was stopped 9 times by NPS (national parks service) and three times by DC Metro police. Apparently there was a target on me... It does look suspicious though when a guy is toting around a giant blue time-lapse slider, 3 tripods and a battery. Because of the numerous roadblocks I wasn't able to use my Dynamic Perception time-lapse slider as much as I had intended, but the shots that I did get were pretty impactful (In my opinion).
This is my first project conceptualized completely in HDR. During the course of the shoot I was able to refine my HDR process and eliminate almost 30 hours of processing time by switching some settings around on both my camera and in certain programs. HDR is one of the most fun things to shoot and this production really opened my eyes to what it's capable of. It doesn't need to be all "Harry Potterish" but a simple and subtle blend of imagery will do the trick. This project is only the first in a long line of ideas I have brewing up in my head.
I hope you enjoy it! And if you like it, please share it!
Thanks so much!
A special thanks to all of those that helped get me access or supported my shoot (with ideas, time, and food!)

Seoul Street Food at Gwangjang Market
Visit: migrationology.com Seoul's Gwangjang Market is one of the best places in the city to sample a few of the best Korean stet food dishes. In this video I head to the market to take a walk around and explore a few delicious eats. After walking around I sat down at a stall serving a variety of different tasty delights. The first thing I eat is called tteokbokki which is rice cakes simmered in a thick red chili curry sauce. The dish is one of the most popular Korean street food staples. The rice cakes were 3000 Korean Won which is a little less than about $3. The next thing I sample is small rolls of gimbap which is the equivalent of Korean style sushi rolls - rice and a few small pickled vegetables wrapped in seaweed. The gimbap cost 3000 Won. The next thing is called Sundae which is Korean blood sausage. It was mixed with sticky rice and steamed in a strange outer shell and then slice on my plate. The sausage was really quite delicious. The Gwangjang market is full of great stalls serving Korean blood sausage. One place of sundae cost 6000 Won. After walking around a bit more, I finally tried a fried bean pancake type of thing. Dipped in the sauce and eaten along with kimchi it was excellent. If you ever visit Seoul, South Korea, you must head to the Gwangjang Market for tasty street food!
