Paphos Cyprus.
This is my second video from the beautiful island of Cyprus. This one taken a few years later with a better quality camera. Taken in 2007 mostly around Paphos and Tala where we rented an apartment. Some footage taken in Aiya Napa while on a daytrip. The earliest known human activity on the island dates back to around the 10th millennium BC. Archaeological remains from this period include the well-preserved Neolithic village of Khirokitia, which has been declared a World Heritage Site with an "enhanced protection" status in the event of armed conflict by UNESCO, along with the archaeological sites of Paphos and the Painted Churches of the Troodos Region. Cyprus is home to some of the oldest water wells in the world. Cyprus was settled by Mycenean Greeks in two waves in the 2nd millennium BC. As a strategic location in the Middle East, it was subsequently occupied by several major powers, including the empires of the Assyrians, Egyptians, and Persians, from whom the island was seized in 333 BC by Alexander the Great. Subsequent rule by Ptolemaic Egypt, the Roman Empire, the Byzantines, Arab caliphates for a short period, the French Lusignan dynasty, and the Venetians, was followed by the Ottoman conquest in 1571. It remained under Ottoman control for over three centuries. Cyprus was placed under British administration in 1878 until it was granted independence in 1960, becoming a member of the Commonwealth the following year. In 1974, seven years after the intercommunal ...

Armenia in the 3rd millennium BC :Armi, Arman(um), Aram
The names Aram, Armen and Arman, feminine Arminé, are common given names by Armenians. The period of passing from Primitive age to civilization and the period of early state formations in Armenian highland took place in early Bronze Age (from the middle of 4th millennium BC up to 24th century BC). The whole Armenian highland was united in one cultural zone in that period. This states the affinity of the inhabitants of the highland. In Armenian Highland from ancient places of early Bronze Age maces were found made of semiprecious stones, which were probably the symbols of power. The Metsamor observatory is one of the achievements of science, from where the starry sky was observed in 2800-2600 BC. The conclusions of European astronomer-historians at the end of the 19th century prove the fact, according to which to the zodiacal constellations were given names in the Armenian Highland in the 28th century BC. Early Bronze Age ceramics of Armenia were rich of symbols and ideograms, which became the base of Armenian hieroglyphs. In 26-23 centuries BC in the territory of Syria rose state Ebla, which had trade relations with neighboring countries. Ebla's manuscripts mention more than twenty residences in the Armenian highland and in its surrounding areas. One of them is Armi, which was the capital of the kingdom of the same name. In the manuscripts of 24-23 centuries "Sons of Haya" (Hayordiner) were mentioned who were the inhabitants of Armi and who established relations with Ebla ...

RIR-Klaus Schmidt-Göbekli Tepe-The Worlds Oldest Temple?
German archeologist Klaus Schmidt, from the German Archaeological Institute, who have been working as the head archeologist at Göbekli Tepe, a temple site located in southeastern Turkey close to the boarder to Syria. Klaus have been excavating there since 1994 and he joins us to talk about the excavation work, and to give us his impressions and theories about the site and the people who built it and worshiped at this ancient temple site. The temple is believed to have been erected in the 10th millennium BC (about 11500 years ago). It is believed to be the oldest human-made place of worship, it's even been called the Garden of Eden. Only about 3-5% of the site has been excavated so far, which has unveiled several stone circle rooms, only one of which has been dug down to the floor. As many as 20 such structures are thought to exist under the ground at the site, these have been detected by radar scans. These stone circles have large T-shaped pillars, some of the heaviest stones weight up to 50 tons. The monoliths are decorated with carved reliefs of animals, abstract pictograms, sacred symbols and similarities to Neolithic cave paintings have been pointed out. The carefully carved figurative reliefs depict lions, bulls, boars, foxes, gazelles, donkeys, snakes and other reptiles, insects, arachnids, and birds, particularly vultures and water fowl. Göbekli Tepe means "Hill with a potbelly" although there already exists other interpretations of the name, connected to the word ...

Ancient Sumeria
My new Public Figure profile is up on Facebook ~ Please add it to your LIKES~ Thank You! lnk.ms Sumer "Land of the Lords of Brightness" located in southern Mesopotamia, is the earliest known civilization in the world. It lasted from the first settlement of Eridu in the Ubaid period (late 6th millennium BC) through the Uruk period (4th millennium BC) and the Dynastic periods (3rd millennium BC) until the rise of Babylon in the early 2nd millennium BC. The term "Sumerian" applies to all speakers of the Sumerian language. Although other cities pre-date Sumer (Jericho, Çatalhöyük and others, either for seasonal protection, or as year-round trading posts) the cities of Sumer were the first to practice intensive, year-round agriculture (from ca. 5300 BC). The surplus of storable foodstuffs created by this economy allowed the population to settle in one place instead of migrating after crops and herds. It also allowed for a much greater population density, and in turn required an extensive labor force and division of labor. This organization led to the necessity of record keeping and the development of writing (ca. 3500 BC). Mesopotamian mythology is the collective name given to Sumerian and Assyrian and Babylonian mythologies from the land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in modern Iraq. Parris Vincenzo Stefanow

8000 years older than pyramids ! Gobekli Tepe, Human's First yet Known Temple in Northern Kurdistan
Gobekli Tepe ( Kurdish: Girê Navokê) is a hilltop sanctuary built on the highest point of an elongated mountain ridge about 15 km northeast of the Kurdish town of Urfa in northern Kurdistan. The site, currently undergoing excavation by German archaeologists, and was erected by hunter-gatherers in the 10th millennium BC (ca 11500 years ago), before the advent of sedentism. . Göbekli Tepe is the oldest human-made place of worship yet discovered. Until excavations began, a complex on this scale was not thought possible for a community so ancient. The oldest occupation layer (stratum III) contains monolithic pillars linked by coarsely built walls to form circular or oval structures. So far, four such buildings, with diameters between 10 and 30m have been uncovered. Geophysical surveys indicate the existence of 16 additional structures.Stratum II, dated to Pre-Pottery Neolithic B (PPNB) (7500 - 6000 BC), has revealed several adjacent rectangular rooms with floors of polished lime, reminiscent of Roman terrazzo floors. The most recent layer consists of sediment deposited as the result of agricultural activity. The monoliths are decorated with carved reliefs of animals and of abstract pictograms. These signs cannot be classed as writing, but may represent commonly understood sacred symbols, as known from Neolithic cave paintings elsewhere. The very carefully carved reliefs depict lions, bulls, boars, foxes, gazelles, asses, snakes and other reptiles, insects, arachnids, and birds ...

Память Великой Реки (What the River Dniepr Remembers)
The old Dniepr Memory
(Translation of the Ukrainian text of the film into English)
It is always very interesting to know something about history of the native country, about what was happening here on the Dniepr bancs in the ancient times. Except scientists (historians, archaeologists, geologists and paleontologists) some other people tray to solve this mystery. They are amateurs – people, who do wish to discover and announce to their compatriots knowledge about ancient history of their native country.
The film is a trial of one of such amateurs to reconstruct as far as it is possible the mental pictures of the life which took place on the Dniepropetrovsk region territory during glacial period and earlier. In 1996 together with his friends he made an exhibition named “The Great River Memory” in a room of Dnieproptrovsk State University. This exhibition is base of this film.
The text of narrator in the film
complicated mechanical systems creation methodology I have a hobby. On our region territory I am collecting fossilized animals bones and traces of ancient people’s activity. The aim of the work is to reconstruct the life history on our territory, because that may be interesting for people of our town and somebody else.
To avoid great mistakes while definition of the found things I took lessons and field practice in the Historian Museum archaeological department and its expeditions. Many times I took part in the work of archaeological expeditions under supervision of professor Dmitriy Telegin too.
I want to narrate you about these search results. The search lasted for 16 years and the collected material we put in the base of the exhibition named “The Great River Memory”.
I will start from the town history. The town Dniepropetrovsk (in the past Ekaterinoslav) had been established 200 ears ago on the place where the river Samara falls into the Dniepr. Here the Dniepr turns on the south and brings its water to the Black Sea. In all the times here near the fall of Samara there was wade, which was always used by people. People of the stone age, People of the Bronze Age, Indo-European people, that were going on the Nord and on the West and incalculable other people of the Iron Age - all of them crossed the Dniepr in this place. So this place for very long time was of strategic importance. And may by even sow 17-th century Pole government decided to build there a stronghold, which was destroyed later by Zaporozhsky Cossacks. The ruins of that fortress walls one may see on the right high side of the river. This is the only historical object belonging to the Middle Ages in our region. Other historical objects older than 200 years are absent in our region.
Near the left side of Dniepr aside of the wade was standing an island. That was a very comfortable place to stay for a wile and representatives of the nations passing this place camped on that island if they stayed here longer than one day. The cultural layers of Igren keep memory about them. This is way I believe and may by more others are inclined to believe that the cultural layers of the Igren are very important memorials in Europe.
A big quantity of dwelling-places people of Stone Age and Bronze Age were discovered by many investigators and archeological expeditions in nadporozhie (that is between Dniepropetrovsk and Zaporozhie). They were searched and described, but higher of Dniepropetrovsk the river sides were not searched and were flooded when the Zaporozhskaya hydroelectric power station building was finished. So all the archaeological memorials which were on the river sides were flooded too. Later they were partially ruined and they are being destroyed now, because the building organizations continue to take river sends of the ancient riversides in large quantities.
In 1980 year, when my children become big enough and when they become very interested in history, I decided to undertake methodical search of the river sands with the purpose to collect reminders of the ancient people and their kits, which they lost or ejected on the riverside. That was as interesting as useful.
At that time in different places of the riverside one could see a large hills of the sand. Towboats were brining great barges with sand to the places of their unloading. Building firms used the sand to fill up the lowlands and build on them the residential districts.
The river sand was taken out by large floating machines on a significant depth (till 20 meters). That was a great possibility. To look into the depth of millenniums was a very simple thing: for that it was necessary only to get up on a river sand hill and to be able to recognize on it everything what abandoned from the ancient people activity. In due course we learned that. It was only to wait till a hard wind will blow off that hill and blow the light sand from its surface away. After that on the hill surface the heavy fraction remains. This is the same what one may see on the screen.

10-13 ASTROLOGY -vs- CHRISTIANITY - Full Debate
Walter Martin , John Weldon K. Winterburn and M Taylor, T. Warneke Discuss Astrology on the John Ankerberg Show. Astrology (from Greek: ἄστρον (astron), "star", and λόγος (logos), "theory", "study": lit. study of the stars) is a group of systems, traditions, and beliefs in which knowledge of the apparent relative positions of celestial bodies and related details is held to be useful in understanding, interpreting, and organizing information about personality, human affairs, and other terrestrial matters. A practitioner of astrology is called an astrologer, or, rarely, an astrologist. Numerous traditions and applications employing astrological concepts have arisen since its earliest recorded beginnings in the 3rd millennium BC.[1][2] It has played a role in the shaping of culture, early astronomy, and other disciplines throughout history. 3d tatoo
Tattooing has been a Eurasian practice at least since around Neolithic times. Ötzi the Iceman, dating from the fourth to fifth millennium BC, was found in the Ötz valley in the Alps and had approximately 57 carbon tattoos consisting of simple dots and lines on his lower spine, behind his left knee, and on his right ankle. [19] Other mummies bearing tattoos and dating from the end of the second millennium BC have been discovered, such as the Mummy of Amunet from Ancient Egypt and the mummies at Pazyryk on the Ukok Plateau
