Trip into Kampala City
Driving through Kampala & it is the largest city and capital of Uganda. The city is divided into five boroughs that oversee local planning: Kampala Central Division, Kawempe Division, Makindye Division, Nakawa Division and Lubaga Division. The city is coterminous with Kampala District. Ugandans enjoy going out and going out they do. The Bars stay open until morning and the party continues all over Kampala. There is a party somewhere in Kampala and I am sure you will find it, just follow the music. Nightlife is relatively safe because of bouncers in the bars and clubs and Ugandans for the most part are simply friendly and hospitable. A body search takes place when entering most night spots.

Dr. Ian Clarke Promo
A promo vid I made for Dr. Ian Clarke's campaign to become Local Councillor 3 of Makindye Division (where I live). He won by a landslide, thanks to my film of course, and was inaugurated as 'Mayor of Makindye' - a first! He is also the first white man (I think) to win an election in Uganda. We're currently editing the full documentary about Clarke's campaign and hope to get it out later in 2012. The music is by DJ Compias. The pleasure is all yours...

Year 2011 in Review
The start of another year is a time to renew our faith and hope in a future of tranquility and joy in the world. It is also an occasion to rededicate ourselves as compassionate stewards of the Earth. Let us take a look at some of our Association's activities throughout 2011. This last year, we unfortunately continued to face a number of natural disasters including earthquakes, floods, storms, and droughts, which are growing in frequency and intensity in part due to the impacts of global warming. With deep concern and sorrowful prayers for the sufferings in the worldSupreme Master Ching Hai has donated more than US$30 million over the past 22 years to bring relief to victims of disasters and support charitable causes such as those with environmental and animal welfare initiatives. In addition to the reported contributions, Supreme Master Ching Hai has often donated anonymously to groups and individuals in need. Among the major donations she made in 2011, Supreme Master Ching Hai contributed US$150000 to Reporters Without Borders along with the Shining World Hero Award, and an additional sum of US$150000 to Seal Aleart-SA's Founder Mr. Francois Hugo, for a total US$350000 toward his endeavors to protect the Cape fur seals. Supreme Master Ching Hai also donated US$50000 to help further the noble work of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) at their 25th anniversary Genesis Awards ceremony; US$50000 in support of efforts by People for the Ethical Treatment of ...
