Summer in Georgia
www.georgiatraveller.com Georgia საქართველო, Sakartvelo is a Eurasian country in the Caucasus located at the east coast of the Black Sea. It is bordered on the north by Russia, on the south by Turkey and Armenia, and on the east by Azerbaijan. It is aTranscontinental country , located at the juncture of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. The republic of Georgia has a lot to offer to tourists, for example subtropical landscapes with citrus fruit and tea fields, a coastline with palm trees, magnificent mountains with climbing and trekking opportunities and ski resorts. The climate of Georgia is extremely diverse, considering the nation's small size. There are two main climatic zones, roughly separating Eastern and Western parts of the country. The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range plays an important role in moderating Georgia's climate and protects the Georgia from the penetration of colder air masses from the north. The Lesser Caucasus Mountains partially protect the region from the influence of dry and hot air masses from the south as well. Much of western Georgia lies within the northern periphery of the humid subtropical zone. Eastern Georgia has a transitional climate from humid subtropical to continental. But Georgia also has a Christian culture dating from the first century and is the cradle of wine-making and drinking. In recent years, the tourist infrastructure (as part of the general infrastructure and economy) have improved dramatically. The number of ...

Abiding Grace - Glimpses of the North-East
'Abiding Grace' is an informative film on the culture, landscape and history of the North East of India. It takes us through the seven states in the North East, namely Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh. North East India has a predominantly humid sub-tropical climate with hot, humid summers, severe monsoons and mild winters. Along with the west coast of India, this region has some of the Indian subcontinent's last remaining rain forests. The cultural traditions are not confined to themes of divine love but also include a strong influence of mythology that people can easily identify with. The film travels to each state and visually narrates the traditions, dances and practices along with the distinct landscapes of each of the seven states.

My Florida
The State of Florida (IPA: /ˈflɔːɹ.ɪ.də/) is located in the southeastern region of the United States of America. Most of the state is a large peninsula with the Gulf of Mexico on its west and the Atlantic Ocean on its east. Much of the state has a humid subtropical climate, except for southern Florida, where the climate is tropical.[3] Florida was named by Juan Ponce de León, who landed on the peninsula on 2 April 1513, during Pascua Florida (Spanish for "Flowery Easter," referring to the Easter season).Florida is situated mostly on a large peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Straits of Florida. It extends to the northwest into a panhandle, extending along the northern Gulf of Mexico. It is bordered on the north by the states of Georgia and Alabama, and on the west, at the end of the panhandle, by Alabama. It is near the countries of the Caribbean, particularly the Bahamas and Cuba. Florida's extensive coast line made it a perceived target during World War II, so the government built airstrips all around the state. Today approximately 400 airports are still in service due to the coastal geography of the state. According to the National Drug Intelligence Center, Florida has 131 public airports, and more than over 700 private airports, airstrips, heliports, and seaplane bases.[4] Florida is one of the largest states east of the Mississippi. Only Alaska and Michigan are larger in water area.At 345 feet (105 m) above mean sea level, Britton Hill ...

Medellin Colombia Tourism
Medellin Colombia Tours www.medellintraveler.com Bienvenidos a Medellín, Colombia Welcome To Medellín, The Capital Of The Colombian State Of Antioquia. The city of Medellin is Colombia's second largest city and said to be one of the most beautiful cities in all of South America. There is plenty to do and see in this wonderful and vibrant city in Colombia. The metropolitan area of Medellín is settled within the Aburrá Valley at an elevation of 1538 meters and is bisected by the Medellin River which flows northward. Because Medellin is located at 5000 ft above sea level, its climate is not as hot as other cities located at the same latitude near the equator. And due to its altitude above sea level as well as a privileged location in the Andes Range, Medellin's weather is more characteristic of a humid subtropical climate rather than that of a tropical climate. The city's average annual temperature is 22ºC (72ºF) and because of its proximity to the equator, its temperature is constant year round with minimal temperature variations. Temperatures range from 15ºC (52ºF) to 30ºC (86ºF). To learn more http

Charlotte (HD)
Charlotte is the largest city in the US state of North Carolina and the seat of Mecklenburg County. Charlotte's population was estimated by the US Census Bureau to be 709441 in 2009 (the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce insists it is higher in mid-2010, at 756912), making it the 18th largest city in the United States based on population. The Charlotte metropolitan area had a 2009 population of 1745524. The Charlotte metropolitan area is part of a wider thirteen-county labor market region or combined statistical area that has a 2009 estimated population of 2389763. Residents of Charlotte are referred to as "Charlotteans". Nicknamed the Queen City, Charlotte and the county containing it are named in honor of the German Princess Charlotte of Mecklenburg, who had become queen consort of British King George III the year before the city's founding. A second nickname derives from later in the 18th century. During the American Revolutionary War, British commander General Cornwallis occupied the city but was driven out afterwards by hostile residents, prompting him to write that Charlotte was "a hornet's nest of rebellion," leading to another city nickname: The Hornet's Nest. Charlotte has a humid subtropical climate. It is located halfway between the Appalachian Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, and between Washington, DC and Atlanta. Charlotte is located along the Catawba River and near Lake Norman, the largest manmade lake in North Carolina along with two other lakes adjacent to ...

Spring and autumn are normally too subtle to be noticed as the majority of trees here are not deciduous, and therefore do not lose their leaves. Although it can be chilly and damp during the winter, the temperatures very rarely drop below freezing, and temperatures usually remain comfortable during the winter. The city has only recorded snowfall three times in its 250-year history. The summers, on ...

Sao Paolo -- Impressions
Sao Paolo represents both the largest City in South-America of Brazil. It is the capital of the Brazilian state São Paulo. Recent statistics document about 10659386 citizens living in Sao Paolo. People are commonly very religios and significantly often belong to the Catholic Church. The spoken language is Portuguese. Many immigrants such as Italians, Asians and Germans live inside this metropolis. The climate must be characterized as humid subtropical. The new down town area consists of high buildings and looks partly quite similar to towns in US-America. The sourrounding can look very different, mostly consisting of smaller houses. Poverty is often visible. Sao Paolo is located on a plateau belonging to the Brazilian highlands. Parts of the Atlantic rainforest "survived" inside town being called Cantareira and containing a large biodiversity including endemic species. The film presents impressions of different areas of the town mostly seen from the perspective of me as a zoologist and nature lover.
