River Cam Carp Quest 2011 Part 1 - Carp Fishing
It had been my ambition ever since September 2004 to get back on the river Cam and have some more carp out of it. Back then i had been quiet successful managing to find the carp and catch over a dozen of them in all. It was now early May, pre-river fishing season and time for me to find and educate them to The Ghost boilies first before the glorious 16th. For more information visit: www.thecarpcatcher.co.uk http

River Cam Carp Quest 2011 Part 2 - Carp Fishing
It's the second day of the river fishing season and i am up and dressed before first light. Ten minutes later the car is loaded with the minimum of gear and i'm off down the street. A short ten minute drive and i am walking down the hill above the river into the dew wet meadow, mist rising off the water and sunshine bursting through behind me. Cambridgeshire Country Walk - Cambridge to Grantchester via the River Cam return
Our video is a guided walk in Cambridgeshire from Cambridge to Grantchester return following the River Cam. This is a relaxing and pleasant walk and we observe many people punting and boating on the River Cam as we follow the rivers footpath on a warm and sunny day in October.

River Cam Carp Quest 2011 Part 4 - Carp Fishing
So far i had only been doing short morning or evening sessions on the river but when the opportunity to fish the day came up i grabbed it! I had been down to the river the day before and put in half a kilo of The Ghost but i still felt that i would have a chance and anyway i rather be by the river blanking than not because you always learn/reaffirm something. River Cam Carp Quest 2011 Part 5 - Carp Fishing
It's early evening and i'm back on the river Cam for another short 2-3 hour session after the carp. The weeks spent wandering the banks during mid May early June fish spotting and constantly baiting up is starting to pay off as the fish are now regularly visiting the areas to feed. River Cam Carp Quest 2011 Part 6 - Carp Fishing
It's high summer and i am back on the river for another short evening session under the bridge. It's Friday evening and my first session in the recently prepared second swim. Over the last week 5 kilos of The Ghost has gone into the river and it's all been eaten. River Cam Carp Quest 2011 Part 13 - Carp Fishing
It's the middle of September 2011 and the days are getting colder and shorter. Winds that blew warm and fresh only weeks before had turned gusty, wet and chilly. I have often heard it said of lake carp that they like to feed up in the autumn. I have to say i have never noticed an increase in bait consumption at this time of year but a decrease.. and so it was on the river too. For more information visit www.thecarpcatcher.co.uk

A big thanks to Matthews MSE (www.msegrip.com) especially to Bob Kulesh, Tyler & Ed Phillips for their generous support and patience of this lengthy endeavor. Most of the linear motion control shots were captured using their FloatCam DC Slider, a wonderful piece of engineering for the time lapse world.
'Nightfall' is a three minute tour of light through the City of Angels.
I shot "Nightfall" in an attempt to capture Los Angeles as it transitioned from day to night. As you probably know, LA is an expansive city so shooting it from many different angles was critical. Usually I was able to capture just one shot per day with a lot of driving, exploring, and scouting in between but the times sitting in traffic or a "sketchy" neighborhood often lead to new adventures and interesting places.
Nightfall in particular is my favorite time to shoot time lapse. Capturing the transition from day to night while looking back at the city as the purple shadow of Earth envelopes the eastern skyline and the warm distant twinkling halogen lights spark to life and give the fading sun a run for her money- this will never grow old or boring to me.
In this piece, it was important to me for the shots to both capture and accentuate the movement of light through the day and night and the use of multiple motion control techniques allowed me to do so.
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
An English translation of the lyrics-
"It is late. I am looking for my other home, taking an unfamiliar path: a small trail near the factories and the city, cutting through the forest. I can barely see nature when suddenly, night falls. I am engulfed by a world of silence, yet I am not afraid. I fall asleep for a few minutes at the most, and when I wake up, the sun is there and the forest is shining with a bright light.
I recognize this forest. It is not an ordinary forest, it is a forest of memories. My memories. The white and noisy river, my adolescence. The tall trees, the men I have loved. The birds in flight, and in the distance, my lost father.
My memories aren't memories anymore. They are there, with me, dancing and embracing, singing and smiling at me.
I look at my hands. I caress my face, and I am 20 years old. And I love like I have never loved before."

Khula Happy Zulu Singers St. Lucia South-Africa
My big camera was in the hotel. But this proofs you don't need to miss great moments in life with pocketcams! Always at hand! This is one of my first clips with the new mini Sanyo Xacti HD1000 a $400 cam, without any extra's. A miniscule stereo microphone at back of LCD, but amazing quality! But now the FH1 is my favorite even better and smaller and a build in wide angle and Advanced Zoom!
My friends (very polite but very poor) from a township called Khula (sheds without water and electricity) just outside villacity St.Lucia KwaZuluNatal South Africa.
This group performs for tourist on restaurant terraces in St.Lucia and here at the arrivaldeck from a hippo boattour on St.Lucia River at sunset. They sing and swing really great just like the other famous Zulugroup Ladysmith Black Mombazo. This music style is called Isicathamiya. Made famous by Paul Simon. They rehearse a lot and we hope to make them famous also. Help them please if you can. Please also search for "Khula Happy Singers" on YouTube for our one year old clip as promo for a great and very affordable B&B; in St.Lucia. Absolutely one of the best spots to spent a few weeks in Zululand, close to the best diving spots SodwanaBay, Elephant coast, birds (Trompetbills), monkeys, many wild Hippo's, Crocks and HluHluwe Imfolozi Safari Wildpark.
We have several HD Stockshots from South Africa. Ideal footage for your 2010 FIFA World Championship Football productions! See selection of our clips at: global-dvc.org/pond5.asp Cape Town, KwaZuluNatal, KrugerPark, Dance, TownShips etc

Mountains in Motion: The Canadian Rockies is an experimental short documenting the life of the alpine landscape through time-lapse photography. In an effort to highlight the wildness of these mountain places and how they have inspired explorers of the past, present and future, sequences were painstakingly gathered from exposed summits; by glacial lakes; and under aurora-filled skies.
Hours and even months of change lapses in a matter of seconds, providing the viewer with a rare insight into the ever-changing nature of the landscape. Dramatic peaks, crumbling glaciers, surging rivers and frozen waterfalls come alive with intense detail.
Weaving throughout the film are reflections of an early mountaineer, who is deeply moved by his own encounter with the mountains and the revelations of explorers who have come before him. “What is this power that lures me upwards, into the unknown,” he wonders, “that pulls me deeper, despite snow, wind and exhaustion?”
Made on a shoestring budget and with entirely volunteer hours, the film brought together artists from two vastly different parts of North America - Banff, Alberta, and Atlanta, Georgia. Strangers at the start, the film team developed strong friendships over the course of production and were united by their common goal of capturing the beauty and essence of a place that inspires them every day.
This 100% human-powered film combines time-lapse photography with an original story and musical score to bring the landscape center-stage and offers a thrilling new perspective that re-establishes the Canadian Rockies among the finest mountains in the world.
"We were not pioneers ourselves, but we journeyed over old trails that were new to us, and with hearts open. Who shall distinguish?" – J. Monroe Thorington
Release update: MiM finished post-production in July 2012. The film will be making a journey through the festival circuit before a public release. We'll post new updates on our Facebook page soon.

Wolf River, WI. (Sct. 4) Helmet Cam Run
A midwest whitewater run, through the Menominee Indian Reservation in northeast Wisconsin. Footage taken at 350 cfs and 230 cfs. For a truly fine camping experience, I highly recommend the BearPaw resort...beautiful cabins are also available here. Catering to the paddling crowd, kayak rentals and lessons are also available, along with a great dinner menu, and full bar. Another (can't miss) attraction here, is the 'Kayak Tree'...one look, day or night...and you won't forget it!
