Thousand-Hand Guan Yin
As long as you are kind and there is love in your heart A thousand hands will naturally come to your aid As long as you are kind and there is love in your heart You will reach out with a thousand hands to help others .Guan Yin is the bodhisattva of compassion, revered by Buddhists as the Goddess of Mercy. Her name is short for Guan Shi Yin. Guan means to observe, watch, or monitor; Shi means the world; Yin means sounds, specifically sounds of those who suffer. Thus, Guan Yin is a compassionate being who watches for, and responds to, the people in the world who cry out for help. www.taoism.net

This Is The Best Art Performance - From China ( Thousand-hand ~ Guan Yin ~ 千手观音 )
Guanyin or Kwanyin, the Goddess of Mercy. ~ China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe, "Thousand-hand Guan Yin" Guan Yin is a Chinese goddess.Feeling music through speakers and guided by hand gestures, a troupe of deaf dancers in Beijing take steps to champion the rights of disabled people across the world ~ " Being deaf and mute, these disabled female performers endure pain and suffering in vigorous training, simply to deliver a message of love to mankind. " Guanyin or Kwanyin (aka), the Goddess of Mercy also known by Westerners as the Chinese Goddess of love and compassion has long occupied a unique place not only in Buddhism, but also in Chinese culture. The Chinese word "Guanyin is an abbreviation of "Guan shi yin" which denotes" seeing the voice of the world if rendered literally. Such a deity can be called as the deity who looks in every direction or the "Regarder of the cries of suffering beings". According to legend, Guanyin, the youngest daughter of a king, defied her father when he sought a husband for her. The angry king sent her away to a monastery with instructions that she should be compelled to obey. This only strengthened her resolve. So the king set fire to the monastery and ordered her execution when she was caught sitting erect reciting sutras. As she was about to be beheaded, the sword broke into two and a tiger from nowhere carried her away to a forest. One day from afar she saw the king was sick and not responding to treatment, so she severed her ...

Guan Yin - Heart Sutra - Prayers
A video I made about Bodhisattva Guan Yin, Guan Yin Bodhisattva represent compassion, his name means "Observe the cries of the world" Because of this, many people pray or call upon this Great Bodhisattva for help when in trouble and ask to be free from sufferings. Human beings and all beings of Saha world have a great affinity with Guan Yin Bodhisattva, like a child with his or her mother. Guan Yin is the manifestation of Compassion, and therefore if we practice compassion and loving kindness for all beings equally without discrimination, we will all too have the compassion of Guan Yin. Guan Yin Bodhisattva is one of the two great disciple of Buddha Amitabha in the western Pure land, the other is Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva. While Guan Yin (Avalokitesvara) Bodhisattva represents Compassion, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva represents strength and wisdom, two aspect of Buddha Amitabha. I do realize that the translation version of this Heart Sutra is not the best, and I take no credit in translating it whatsoever or any pictures used in this video.

Guanyin With One Thousand Hands
Guanyin (or Kuan-Yin) is the bodhisattva of compassion as venerated by East Asian Buddhists, usually as a female. She is also known as the Chinese Bodhisattva of Compassion. The name Guanyin is short for Guanshi'yin which means "Observing the Sounds (or Cries) of the World". It is generally accepted that Guanyin originated as the Sanskrit Avalokiteśvara, which is her male form. Commonly known in the West as the Goddess of Mercy, Guanyin is also revered by Chinese Taoists as an Immortal. It should be noted that in Taoist mythology, Guan Yin has other origination stories which are not directly related to Avalokiteśvara. Guanyin's origin is still debated among scholars. The official Buddhist view is that Guanyin originated with the male Avalokiteshvara. While it is certain that this is where the name "Guanshi'yin" originated, the image of the Chinese/Korean/Japanese/Vietnamese Bodhisattva (along with her femininity) may be partly derived from other sources. Indigenous to the region where Guanyin first appeared was a local Goddess: the Queen Mother of the West.

The Guanyin Tang temple (Dali - Yunnan - China)
(EN) Guanyin Temple (Guanyintang in Chinese) is located in the south of Old Town of Dali, about 10 minutes' drive. Popularly enshrined and worshipped in Dali area, Guanyin has been regarded as a Patron God or Goddess of Bai minority. Buddhism in Dali could be taken as Yunnan Esoteric or Dian Mi, in which Guanyin is much more important than Buddha; experts referred to the Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) there as Arcarya Guanyin (A Cuo Ye in Chinese) who is much slimmer than those elsewhere. It's even said that Pi Luoge, the founder of the Nanzhao Kingdom, had been nominated by Guanyin as the governor of the Six Tribes at that time. Among Buddhist temples in Dali, Guanyin temples or shrines are the majority, and Guanyin Tang or Guanyin Temple is the most famous one.
