Richard Thompson - Beeswing
I was nineteen when I came to town, they called it the Summer of Love They were burning babies, burning flags. The hawks against the doves I took a job in the steamie down on Cauldrum Street And I fell in love with a laundry girl who was working next to me Oh she was a rare thing, fine as a bee's wing So fine a breath of wind might blow her away She was a lost child, oh she was running wild She said "As long as there's no price on love, I'll stay. And you wouldn't want me any other way" Brown hair zig-zag around her face and a look of half-surprise Like a fox caught in the headlights, there was animal in her eyes She said "Young man, oh can't you see I'm not the factory kind If you don't take me out of here I'll surely lose my mind" Oh she was a rare thing, fine as a bee's wing So fine that I might crush her where she lay She was a lost child, she was running wild She said "As long as there's no price on love, I'll stay. And you wouldn't want me any other way" We busked around the market towns and picked fruit down in Kent And we could tinker lamps and pots and knives wherever we went And I said that we might settle down, get a few acres dug Fire burning in the hearth and babies on the rug She said "Oh man, you foolish man, it surely sounds like hell. You might be lord of half the world, you'll not own me as well" Oh she was a rare thing, fine as a bee's wing So fine a breath of wind might blow her away She was a lost child, oh she was running wild She said "As long as ...

BBC Future of Food - Part 1: India
Future of Food - Part 1: India In the past year, we have seen food riots on three continents, food inflation has rocketed and experts predict that by 2050, if things don't change, we will see mass starvation across the world. This film sees George Alagiah travel the world in search of solutions to the growing global food crisis. From the two women working to make their Yorkshire market town self-sufficient to the academic who claims it could be better for the environment to ship in lamb from New Zealand, George Alagiah meets the people who believe they know how we should feed the world as demand doubles by the middle of the century. George joins a Masai chief among the skeletons of hundreds of cattle he has lost to climate change and the English farmer who tells him why food production in the UK is also hit. He spends a day eating with a family in Cuba to find out how a future oil shock could lead to dramatic adjustments to diets. He visits the breadbasket of India to meet the farmer who now struggles to irrigate his land as water tables drop, and finds out why obesity is spiralling out of control in Mexico. Back in Britain, George investigates what is wrong with people's diets, and discovers that the UK imports an average of 3000 liters of water per capita every day. He talks to top nutritionist Susan Jebb, DEFRA minister Hilary Benn and Nobel laureate Rajendra Pachauri to uncover what the future holds for our food.

Bergen, Norway: Salty Harbor Town
With 250000 people, Bergen is a big city by Norwegian standards, but visitors sticking to the compact old center find it charming. Enjoy the busy harbor with its salty market and timber warehouses dripping with Hanseatic history, then stroll the pedestrian-friendly old quarter, with cute lanes of delicate wooden houses. Then for a modern contrast, head for Bergen's urban heart — which has a thriving personality all its own. For more information on the Rick Steves' Europe TV series — including episode descriptions, scripts, participating stations, travel information on destinations and more — visit www.ricksteves.com.

A look at Camden Market in London (HD)
Camden Market Feb 2010, London. ( Music available for download at www.reverbnation.com ) I think it's probably one of the best, if not *the* best, markets in the world. It's mainly for alternative lifestyles, and you'll see goths, punks, rockers, emos & eskimos all join together in one bizarre gathering. You could walk round there all day and still not see everything. The market's changed so much since the re-vamp, but it's an improvement. I used to go there a lot in my yoof to buy bootleg records. The market now seems a lot bigger and you'll see a lot of huge statues around. Mostly horse sculptures, because part of the market used to be a horse stable (established in 1854). The facilities have improved too, and I would guess there are a lot more stalls selling everything from art to old collectable toys. I put together this video montage for anyone to take a look. The camera was super shakey, so a lot is in slow-mo. See for yourself...... Enjoy the video and comments are welcome. ...with Jaco Pastorius. If you want to see what is bass about, you ought to see this video. Sorry, I meant, you MUST see this video. "Teen Town" is one of their most famous songs, and I think that this fame it reached is not in vain, because the quality of the whole group is magnificent.

My Town - Pete Evans
This is a song about the town where I was born, brought up in and still live there. The population are hard working, good humoured and extremely proud people. We always had heavy industies as well as agriculture as the largest employers but, alas, these jobs have now disappeared thanks to capitalism. The famous Racecourse ground is the oldest international football stadium in the world. Wrexham Traveluk.co.uk The largest town in North Wales, Wrexham has an ancient history. A medieval market town, Wrexham saw its heyday during the industrial revolution when iron ore was found in the nearby Clywedog Valley. Nowadays, tourists either come here to watch matches at the Wrexham Football Ground or to see one of the so-called seven wonders of Wales, St Giles' Church. The most prominent landmark in Wrexham, the Church of St Giles was rebuilt in the 16th century. Built in the Gothic style, St Giles' was the heart of the historic town and its imposing tower rises to 136 feet and incorporates some 29 statues into its design. A replica of the church was also constructed at Yale University in tribute to Elihu Yale, the college's benefactor whose ancestors hailed from Wrexham. His tomb may be seen in the graveyard. Inside you'll see beautiful Victorian stained glass windows and a late 15th century mural of "The Last Judgement". Also of note are the wrought iron gates in the churchyard designed by the renowned Welsh ironworkers Robert and John Davies. Visitors to Wrexham interested in ...
