ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಕೆಆರ್ ನಗರದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅತಿಥಿ ಗೃಹ ಇವತ್ತು ಅಪರೂಪದ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯ್ತು. ಚುಂಚನಕಟ್ಟೆ ಜಲಪಾತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರಾಣ ಕಳ್ಕೊಳ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯುವತಿಯನ್ನ ಬಚಾವ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ನಾಲ್ವರು ಯುವಕರನ್ನ ಇಂದು ಸನ್ಮಾಸಲಾಯ್ತು. ಕೆ.ಆರ್ ನಗರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಅರ್ಜುನ್ ಆದರ್ಶ, ಹರ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್ ಎಂಬ ನಾಲ್ವರು ಯುವಕರನ್ನ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯ್ತು. ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಸಂಸದ ಸಿ.ಎಸ್ ಪುಟ್ಟರಾಜು ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆಆರ್ ನಗರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಶಾಸಕ ಸಾ.ರಾ ಮಹೇಶ್ ನಾಲ್ವರೂ ಯುಕವರಿಗೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ಪೇಟ ತೊಡಿಸಿದ್ರು. ಯುವಕರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಾಧನೆಯನ್ನ ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿದ್ರು.

MYSURU: A group of youths apparently saved a college girl from drowning near Chunchanakatte Falls in Krishnarajanagar, 45 km away from Mysuru.
Though the incident happened on December 20, it came to light recently after footage of their rescue operation was recorded on a mobile camera by one of the youths. It went viral after it was circulated.
However, there has been no official record about the incident as the matter never reached police.
The 19-year-old girl, who was rescued, was unconscious at the time and admitted to hospital. The girl's parents too didn't want the issue publicized. Adarsha, one of the four rescuers, said they found the girl struggling to get out of swirling waters near the Chunchanakatte Falls, a popular tourist destination.
"We went to her rescue and after 20 minutes were able to pull her out. Three of her friends said she slipped while posing for a photo and fell down. They were shouting for help when we arrived," he said, adding he only knew the girls were students from Mysuru.
Adarsha, Harsha, Arjun and Srikanth, all college students from Krishnarajanagar, were involved in the rescue operation. Adarsha claimed they were not aware of the girl's personal details but had shifted her to hospital.

The Beautiful falls on Kaveri at Chunchanakatte.We had been to this temple cum picnic spot on Friday,9th August and was impressed by the pristine beauty of this place. Being August & the monsoon this time in full cry the falls by the side of the temple was a sight to watch. I had taken many photographs and would like to share my memories & experience with the public.
The Kodandarama Temple is beautiful just by the side of the falls and Lord Rama's Bakthan, Hanuman is seen ever where including the temple Praharam where they royally walk in and steal Prasadams from devotees. No one including the Gurukal seem to have a way of stopping them. It is a sight to watch!.
Chunchanakatte in krishnarajanagar taluk of Mysore district, Karnataka, India. Water cascades from a height of about 20 meters.It is in the Western Ghats.There the river falls in two small cascades before joining again to flow as one.
Chunchanakatte is the holy place where Lord Sri Rama during his vanvas stopped by and availed the hospitality of a tribal couple called Chuncha and Chunchi. The significance of this place is that the sound of the powerful falls can be heard all over except inside the sanctum sanctorum of the centuries old temple, the story goes that Lord Rama was tired of the constant complaining of Sita Mata and gave a curse saying that the tongue of a woman should not be sharp and since Cauvery (river) is considered to be female the noise that the river generated would not be heard in the sanctum sanctorum of the lord. It is also said that when Sita Mata was tired and weary and wanted to have a bath, Lord Ram directed Lakshman to fire an arrow at a rock, once Lakshmana fired the arrow, water in 3 different shades started pouring out, one with turmeric, one with oil and one with shikakai (fruit for hair - natural shampoo). These shades are visible even today when there is considerable amount of water flowing in the falls.

MYSURU: A group of youths apparently saved a college girl from drowning near Chunchanakatte Falls in Krishnarajanagar, 45 km away from Mysuru.
Though the incident happened on December 20, it came to light recently after footage of their rescue operation was recorded on a mobile camera by one of the youths. It went viral after it was circulated.
However, there has been no official record about the incident as the matter never reached police.
The 19-year-old girl, who was rescued, was unconscious at the time and admitted to hospital. The girl's parents too didn't want the issue publicized. Adarsha, one of the four rescuers, said they found the girl struggling to get out of swirling waters near the Chunchanakatte Falls, a popular tourist destination.
"We went to her rescue and after 20 minutes were able to pull her out. Three of her friends said she slipped while posing for a photo and fell down. They were shouting for help when we arrived," he said, adding he only knew the girls were students from Mysuru.
Adarsha, Harsha, Arjun and Srikanth, all college students from Krishnarajanagar, were involved in the rescue operation. Adarsha claimed they were not aware of the girl's personal details but had shifted her to hospital.

The Beautiful falls on Kaveri at Chunchanakatte.We had been to this temple cum picnic spot on Friday,9th August and was impressed by the pristine beauty of this place. Being August & the monsoon this time in full cry the falls by the side of the temple was a sight to watch. I had taken many photographs and would like to share my memories & experience with the public.
The Kodandarama Temple is beautiful just by the side of the falls and Lord Rama's Bakthan, Hanuman is seen ever where including the temple Praharam where they royally walk in and steal Prasadams from devotees. No one including the Gurukal seem to have a way of stopping them. It is a sight to watch!.
Chunchanakatte in krishnarajanagar taluk of Mysore district, Karnataka, India. Water cascades from a height of about 20 meters.It is in the Western Ghats.There the river falls in two small cascades before joining again to flow as one.
Chunchanakatte is the holy place where Lord Sri Rama during his vanvas stopped by and availed the hospitality of a tribal couple called Chuncha and Chunchi. The significance of this place is that the sound of the powerful falls can be heard all over except inside the sanctum sanctorum of the centuries old temple, the story goes that Lord Rama was tired of the constant complaining of Sita Mata and gave a curse saying that the tongue of a woman should not be sharp and since Cauvery (river) is considered to be female the noise that the river generated would not be heard in the sanctum sanctorum of the lord. It is also said that when Sita Mata was tired and weary and wanted to have a bath, Lord Ram directed Lakshman to fire an arrow at a rock, once Lakshmana fired the arrow, water in 3 different shades started pouring out, one with turmeric, one with oil and one with shikakai (fruit for hair - natural shampoo). These shades are visible even today when there is considerable amount of water flowing in the falls.
