  The United States of America (commonly abbreviated to the United States, the U.S., the USA, America, and the States) is a federal constitutional republic comprising fifty states and a federal district.   Alan Blumenfeld is a veteran American character actor best known for his role in NBC's TV series Heroes as Maury Parkman, the telepath father of Matt Parkman played by Greg Grunberg, and as Bob Buss in the telefilm 2gether. He has played Greg Grunberg's father in both Felicity and Heroes.
  Blumenfeld has been acting since the age of 7 in his first grade, and has appeared in prime time television shows such as Grey's Anatomy, JAG, Gilmore Girls, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Without a Trace, and Judging Amy. He has also appeared in movies, including The Ring, In Her Shoes, and Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. He was also the voice of Glottis on the cult video-game Grim Fandango.

  Chev Chelios was born in London and lived with his mother, Karen Chelios. As a child, he was very violent towards other people and committed crimes including stealing a car, robbing a store and getting into fights in school; he was also addicted to video games. He never met his father. As a child, he appeared on The Luke Cunard Show, a fictional British talk show, because of his violent tendencies. During the show's interview, the interactions between Chelios and Cunard hint that the host might indeed be Chelios' biological father.   Gary Gilbert is an Oscar nominated producer and the founder and president of Gilbert Films, a motion picture production and financing company based in Los Angeles, California. Gilbert financed and produced the 2004 feature film Garden State starring Zach Braff and Natalie Portman. In 2005 Gilbert along with Braff won an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature Film. In 2010 Gilbert produced The Kids Are All Right which after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival was immediately acquired by Focus Features (Universal Studios).   Gary Lucchesi is an American film producer who is president of Lakeshore Entertainment. Lucchesi began his career at The William Morris Agency as an agent, representing such artists as Susan Sarandon, Kevin Costner, Michelle Pfeiffer and John Malkovich. Lucchesi served as both Vice President and Senior Vice President of Production at TriStar Pictures before becoming President of Production at Paramount Pictures. Following his time at Paramount, Lucchesi founded Gary Lucchesi Productions, where he produced the Oscar nominated film Primal Fear. Lucchesi was also President of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Film Co., producing the film version of the hit musical Cats. In 1997, he was asked by Tom Rosenberg to run Lakeshore.

  John de Lancie (born March 20, 1948) is an American actor. He has been active in screen and television roles since 1977, though he is best known for his recurring role as Q on the various Star Trek series and as Frank Simmons in Stargate SG-1, and Discord in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
  He has also produced and acted in several audio dramas based on classic science fiction stories for the production company Alien Voices, which he founded with Leonard Nimoy.
  De Lancie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Andrea and John de Lancie, who was principal oboist of the Philadelphia Orchestra from 1954 to 1977, and in his time one of the best known oboists worldwide. As a child, he was diagnosed with dyslexia. He is married to actress-singer Marnie Mosiman, and they have two sons, Keegan and Owen.
  De Lancie has appeared in numerous television series. He starred as Dr. Deroy in three television films of Emergency! (1977-1979): "The Steel Inferno", "The Convention" and "What's a Nice Girl Like You Doing". In 1988, he played assassin Matthew Drake in the premiere episode of the Mission: Impossible revival series. He also starred in a first season episode of MacGyver, "The Escape", where he played a gunrunner. In 1997, de Lancie lent his voice to The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest as Doctor Quest. He also recently appeared on AMC's Breaking Bad. From 2001–2002, he was Agent Dark Booty on the television series Invader Zim. He also starred in the eighth, ninth and tenth episodes of Torchwood: Miracle Day. In both parts of the 2011 season premiere of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, he voiced the antagonist 'Discord'. In 2012, he guest-starred as Royce Armstrong in the CW's The Secret Circle.

  Johnny Whitworth (born October 31, 1975) is an American actor.
  His early years were spent in his birth place of Charleston, South Carolina, with his mother. When he grew older, he moved to Dallas, Texas with his father (his parents are divorced). At age 15/16 in 1991, he won the 1st Young and Modern Man Contest. Shortly after, he moved to Los Angeles with his mother and at the age of 18 started his acting career with a guest appearance on Party of Five in 1994. His debut in movies was with Bye Bye Love in 1995. That same year, he played A.J. in the film Empire Records. The movie became a cult classic.
  He quit acting after his first few movies, but then made a comeback in 1997s The Rainmaker. He currently has a recurring role on the CBS crime drama CSI: Miami, where he plays bad-boy Detective Jake Berkeley, a love interest of Calleigh Duquesne. The storyline is swiftly making Whitworth's character a controversial one, as his competition for Calleigh is long-time CSI agent Eric Delko. Since the end of Season 5 and throughout Season 6, Jake was no longer an ATF agent but a Miami-Dade homicide detective working with the CSIs. Season 7 sees Whitworth return in the first episode, with a promise of more to come.

  Larry Drake (born February 21, 1950) is an American actor.
  Drake was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Lorraine, a homemaker, and Raymond Drake, a drafting engineer for an oil company. Drake is best known for his portrayal of developmentally disabled Benny Stulwicz on the television show L.A. Law from 1987 until the show's end in 1994, for which he won two consecutive Emmy Awards (1988, 1989). He returned to the part of Benny in L.A. Law: The Movie, a "reunion" movie aired on NBC in 2002.
  Drake has appeared in numerous television and film roles, including: Time Quest, Dark Asylum, Paranoid, Bean, Overnight Delivery, The Beast, The Journey of August King, Murder in New Hampshire, Dr. Giggles, Darkman, Darkman II: The Return of Durant, The Taming of the Shrew (1983), American Pie 2, and Dark Night of the Scarecrow. He was also a regular on the 1998 science fiction TV show Prey. Drake provided the voice acting for Pops on Johnny Bravo.   Lauren Lee Smith (born June 19, 1980) is a Canadian actress.
  Lauren attended Henry James Cambie Secondary School. Smith was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The stepdaughter of a documentary filmmaker, Lauren travelled around the world with her family. When she was 14, her family moved to Los Angeles, California. There, she began a modelling career.
  At the age of 19, she was cast in a featured role in the remake of Get Carter. Smith was also a recurring character in the Showtime drama series The L Word, playing Sous-chef Lara Perkins. In 2005, Smith filmed the sexually explicit movie Lie with Me, where she played the character of Leila.

  Mark Neveldine (born 11 May 1973) is an American film director, film producer, screenwriter and camera operator. He is best known for frequently collaborating with Brian Taylor as Neveldine/Taylor.
  Neveldine was born in Watertown, New York to Tom Neveldine and Carolyn Dowd Fitzpatrick. He attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York, where he studied drama and psychology. After graduating, he moved to Manhattan, where he began his career as an actor of nearly thirty productions. He moved to Los Angeles and attended the The Los Angeles Film School, where he met Brian Taylor. He was subsequently transitioned into film work, becoming a cinematographer of music videos, documentaries and a television pilot.
  Neveldine, along with Brian Taylor, were set to direct the film Jonah Hex, but dropped out of the project due to "creative differences". However, they are still credited for the screenplay.   Michael Weston (born October 25, 1973) is an American television and film actor. His best-known roles are the private detective Lucas Douglas on House, the homicidal meth addict Jake in the critically acclaimed HBO drama Six Feet Under and Pvt. Dancer on Scrubs.
  Weston was born Michael Rubinstein in New York City, the son of actors Judi West and John Rubinstein, the grandson of piano virtuoso Arthur Rubinstein and the great-grandson of conductor Emil Młynarski, the founding conductor of Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and principal conductor of the Scottish Orchestra. He holds a degree in Theater and Arts from Northwestern University. In 2000 he changed his surname to "Weston" as there was already a "Michael Rubinstein" in the Screen Actors Guild.

His father is of Sicilian descent and his mother has English, Irish, Scottish, French, and Cherokee Native American ancestry. His last name, Ventimiglia, is the name of the town of Ventimiglia in Liguria, Italy, which later gave its name to another city, Ventimiglia di Sicilia. The youngest of three children, he has two older sisters, Leslie and Laurel. He has explained in an interview with USA Today that his "crooked mouth" is a result of dead nerves on the left side, which cause that side to remain immobile, much like, incidentally, Sylvester Stallone, with whom he worked in Rocky Balboa.
