The Ghurid afghan empire THE SURIS OF GHOR
الغوريون ، الشنسباني قطب الدين الحسن عبد الملك عز الدين الحسين سيف الدين صوري معز الدين محمد بن سام sher sha suri The Ghurids or Ghorids ( سلسله غوریان Shansab were a Pashtun/afghan, Muslim dynasty in afghanistan. The Ghurids came from the Shan-sab (pashto white horse) family. Delhi Sultanate غوریان یا شنسبانیان افغانستان و هندوستان khurasan ghor kabul afghanistan kandahar paktia khost pashtunistan pakhtunkhwa indian SURIS OF GHOR AND THE SHINASP FAMILY Minhaj Siraj Juzjani, historian of the Ghorid court, speaks of other celebrated and powerful personalities of the Suris who were the ancestors of the kings of Ghor. Giving as his reference the Muntakhab-e Tarikh-e Nasiri one of the great men of Ghazni during the reign of Sultan Muizzuddin Mohammad Saam (c. 600 H./1203 AD) who had summarized the bulky volumes of Tarikh-e Baihaqi—this insightful historian regards Sur and Saam as two brothers of the lengendery Zahak. Sur, the elder brother, was in charage of the emirate of Ghor, while the younger brother, Saam, was the commander-in-chief of the army and their descendants were the emirs of Ghor in Mandesh, centuries before Islam. Another ruler from these Suris, Bistam bin Mehshad, ruled over the mountains of Shighnan, Bamian, and Tukharistan www.alamahabibi.com

The Minaret of Jam
The 12th Century archaeological site of Jam lies at the confluence of the Hari Rudd and Jam Rudd, 215 km east of Herat, in the remote, mountainous province of Ghur, about 1900 m above sea-level. Thought to be Firuzkoh, the Ghurid summer capital. The 63m high fired-brick minaret is the second tallest in the world; the Ghurids also built the taller Qutb Minar in Delhi.

LaL Shahbaz Shah Ki Chadar (Abida Perveen)
Shahbaz Qalandar (Shaikh Usman Marwandi) was born in Marwand[3] to a dervish, Syed Ibrahim Kabiruddin[4] whose ancestors migrated from Iraq and settled down in Mashhad, a center of learning and civilization, before migrating again to Marwand. His dedication to the knowledge of various religious disciplines enabled him to eventually become a profound scholar. During his lifetime, he witnessed the Ghaznavid and Ghurids rules in South Asia.[5] He became fluent in many languages including Persian, Turkish, Arabic, Sindhi and Sanskrit. His mysticism attracted people from all religions. He was titled Lal (red) for his usual red attire, Shahbaz due to his noble and divine spirit, and Qalandar for his sufism and saintly attitude. Hindus regarded him as the incarnation of Bhrithari. Qalandar Lal Shahbaz lived a celibate life and, did not marry. Evidence shows that he was active in Sindh before 1196, when he met Pir Haji Ismail Panhwar of Pat; it is believed he entered Sehwan in 1251. He established his Khanqah in Sehwan and started teaching in Fuqhai Islam Madarrsah; during this period he wrote his treatises Mizna-e-Sart, Kism-e-Doyum, Aqd and Zubdah.

M2TW, Broken Crescent: Roman-Byzantines vs Ghorids
BE ADVISED, IF YOU WANNA SKIP THE SHOWING OF ALL UNITS ON BOTH SIDES JUST SKIP THE FIRST 10 MINUTES. This is my very 1st time i played against the Ghorids. I realised that besides they have some really good muslim units, if i'm not mistaken, from all muslim factions, only they have the 'Emir's Jihad Ghulam Warriors' who are really tough warriors.. so this time i chose the Ghorids against my Roman-Byzantines. To tell the truth, i know very little on Ghorids or Ghurids. If i'm not mistaken the Ghorids were Afghan/Persians or something like that & in this mod their faction has some great units & their flag looking similar to the Turkish one with the crescent & star (which the Turks took from Ancient Byzantium's Symbol) on red background but the Ghorid flag has the crescent facing upwards & the star on top instead of the side & with 2 crossed black sabres, so they'r not to be confused with turks. As for my Roman-Byzantines, i realised i wasn't deploying my infantry units the right way & not accurately at all (tho the byzantines had many reforms & changes) so after a bit of research i made (cos i'm still learning on the weapons, reformes, formations, armies, Emperors, battles, armour, tactics & equipment of the Roman-Byzantine Empire) i found some web pages info & on my books showing some early, middle & late Roman-Byzantine formations & the units deployed according to what line, era, enemy, terrain & formation they faced, among other info. The Basic formation was similar to ...

The Qutub Minar (Delhi)
Qutub Minar (Urdu: قطب منار) is the tallest brick minaret in the world, and an important example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. The tower is in the Qutb complex in South Delhi, India. The Qutb Minar and its monuments are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Qutub Minar is 72.5 metres high (237.8 ft) and requires 399 steps to get to the top, although it has not been possible for visitors to ascend the tower for some years, due to safety reasons. The diameter of the base is 14.3 metres wide while the top floor measures 3.8 metres in diameter. (As a comparison, the 111m Saturn V rockets used during the Apollo moon landings stood one-and-a-half times taller). Inspired by the Minaret of Jam in Afghanistan and wishing to surpass it, Qutb-ud-din Aybak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi, commenced construction of the Qutub Minar in 1193; but could only complete its basement. His successor, Iltutmish, added three more stories and, in 1368, Firuz Shah Tughluq constructed the fifth and the last story. The development of architectural styles from Aibak to Tuglak are quite evident in the minaret. Like earlier towers erected by the Ghaznavids and Ghurids in Afghanistan, the Qutub Mahal comprises several superposed flanged and cylindrical shafts, separated by balconies carried on Muqarnas corbels. The minaret is made of fluted red sandstone covered with intricate carvings and verses from the Qur'an. The Qutub Minar is itself built on the ruins of Lal Kot, the Red Citadel in the city ...

Afghanistan The Land of Hazaras
This is the statute of Buddahs in Bamiyan. Bamiyan is a Hazara dominated province of Afghanistan. Hazaras have lived there way before the lost tribes of Israel began moving into the Aryan lands. Hazaras were part of the greater Khurasan under Persia. Hazaras are from Uyghur Turk heritage, though Hazara are comonly known Gengis khan descendents by Pashtun and British propaganda. of course its true there are Mongol influence in Hazara but it does not mean that Hazara presense in Afghanistan started from 13 century onwards. Most likely Hazara are the desecendents of Kushan empire. Kushan empire which ruled from 1 AD to 5 century in present day Afghanistan, parts of central Asia and northern Pakistan and India. Kushan people originally migrated from present day Uyghur regions in western china to present day Afghanistan. From 5 AD century onwards Hazara came under Persian empires influence. Sassanids ruled the regions of Hazara and Afghanistan until arrival of Islam. When the Arab conquest ended in Afghanistan, powerful Turkic islamic empires such as Ghaznavids and Ghurids arose to power from heart land of Hazara people, these empires which ruled Persia as well, thus Persian language and culture played important rule in Turkic empires, like Moghul Turk empire in India. Hazara likely learnt Persian as second language but over time Persian become their first language. In the last 200 years, The ethnic groups like Pashtuns, tajiks and Uzbeks has stolen Land and Resources from the ...

Jashne Welayat shodane Daikondi Dar markaze velayate Daikondi. yag sorod az bache haye mantaqa baraye 13e salgarde Esteghlale Afghanistan. The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, commonly known as Afghanistan, is a landlocked country in south-central Asia.[8] It is bordered by Pakistan in the south and east, Iran in the west, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the north, and China in the far northeast. The territories now comprising Afghanistan have been an ancient focal point of the Silk Road and human migration. Archaeologists have found evidence of human habitation from as far back as 50000 BCE.[9] Urban civilization may have begun in the area as early as 3000 to 2000 BC.[10] The country sits at an important geostrategic location, connecting East, South, Western and Central Asia, and has been home to various peoples through the ages.[11] The land has witnessed many military conquests since antiquity, including by Alexander the Great, the Mauryans, Muslim Arabs, Genghis Khan, and others.[9][10] It has also served as a source from which many dynasties such as the Greco-Bactrians, Kushans, Hephthalites, Shahis, Samanids, Saffarids, Ghaznavids, Ghurids, Timurids and others have established empires of their own Daicondi (Persa: دایکندی) ye una provincia d'Afganistán, cola so capital en Nili.
