Matching sunny and cloudy shots - color correction filmmaking tutorial
Watch all my video & photo tutorials here: bit.ly Contact me www.facebook.com & Twitter @TomAntos DVD's: www.tlapro.com Watch the finished film here: youtu.be In this tutorial I show you how to get around a common problem when filming outside on a day when you have both sun and clouds moving in. Since you can't always just stop and wait till the light outside matches all your previous shots, you will have to do what the big shots in Hollywood do. You edit the different shots togheter into one scene even though some of them are shot in bright sunlight and others are done on a overcast day. After you're done editing you will have to color correct the different shots till they match each other. Watch this video tutorial to find out how it's done! If you got any questions just leave it in the comments below. _____________________________ Follow me on: Twitter: twitter.com Facebook www.facebook.com Google+ t.co My name's Tom Antos and I make videos. The ultimate Introduction to DSLR Filmmaking | Basic Tutorial
A tutorial by Fenchel & Janisch Facebook: www.fb.com YouTube: www.youtube.com This introduction to DSLR video is divided into six parts. Learn how to set up your camera, shoot in daylight and at night. This tutorial shows you how to get the cinematic film look that so many people are talking about. In the fall of 2008 Vincent Laforet was the first one to use the Canon EOS 5D Mark II which was the first digital SLR capable of recording full HD video. The short film he shot mostly at night, called "Reverie", become popular over night. Something that Canon never intended got more and more in focus of amateur filmmakers all over the world: Shooting films and commercials with a stills camera. It only took a few month and the first accessories were released. Since then a lot has happened and a lot of TV shows like "House MD" or "CSI Miami" used DSLRs on set. Philip Bloom, another pioneer in digital filmmaking, used cameras on the Lucas Film production "Red Tails". The small body and the great image quality has fascinated international acclaimed cinematographers like Rodney Charters ("24"). In independent cinema those cameras became indispensable. Prostitution and Prisons with Crime After Crime Filmmaker Yoav Potash
thelip.tv www.facebook.com www.facebook.com twitter.com EPISODE SYNOPSIS: Showing the story of a woman that killed her domestic abuser, "Crime After Crime," followed Debbie Paegler's fight to find freedom from nearly 30 years in prison. Director Yoav Potash joins BYOD to discuss the filming, legal issues that surround abuse victims in jail, and getting "Crime After Crime," a wider audience through Oprah and the legal community. Yoav shows that though doc makers are tempted to make a film and then move on to the next project, there is a new expectation to help enact social change around the needs of your subject. From a woeful subject he has managed to create a life-affirming picture that shows us the power of even the most marginalized people in society. GUEST BIO: Yoav Potash's work has often addressed issues of race and justice. Yoav recently co-directed the one hour documentary FOOD STAMPED in collaboration with his wife, nutrition educator Shira Potash. His half-hour documentary LIFE ON THE INSIDE, about the nation's largest prison for women, began airing on PBS stations in 2007. His 35mm film MINUTE MATRIMONY earned a Golden Gate Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival and a Grand Festival Award at the Berkeley Video & Film Festival. CRIMINAL JUSTICE, Yoav's short on racial profiling, won a documentary competition judged by HBO and The Learning Channel. He collaborated with PBS station KQED to complete his first documentary, FROM THE GROUND UP, about a ...

Filmmaking Tutorial: 180 Degree Rule and Other Shot Sequence Tips
Comment on 180 rule by visiting our blog: www.lightsfilmschool.com Welcome to the Lights Film School video tutorial on the 180 degree rule and other shot sequencing tips. But before we begin we'd like to take a moment to show you our lighting setup for this tutorial. We always like to do this to remind you that you don't need a truckload of lights and equipment to create strong compositions and well lit shots. Here we have a wide shot showing our scene. In this shot we're only using two lights. We have an overhead practical light exposing our main character and a small kino flo in the background acting as a "rim light" and giving our background a bit of texture.
