Brett Ewins (1955 – 16 February 2015) was a British comic book artist best known for his work on Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper in the weekly anthology comic 2000 AD.
Ewins studied Conceptual Art at Goldsmiths College, where he was also taught fine art by Michael Craig-Martin. Ewins met future collaborator Peter Milligan at Goldsmiths, and left in 1977. Ewins held a solo exhibition of his work at Frestonia's Car Breaker Gallery in London, a squat in Ladbroke Grove's Republic of Frestonia. Ewins formed a long-term collaborative partnership with fellow artist Brendan McCarthy who also showed at the gallery, creating the comic Sometime Stories, which faltered after the first issue leaving the second issue completed but unpublished. On the strength of Sometime Stories, Ewins soon started providing covers for 2000 AD, the first being issue #33 published in October of the same year.
Ewins and McCarthy continued working together on Future Shocks and Judge Dredd, but soon after Ewins began working solo on Rogue Trooper and later Judge Anderson. In 1985 Ewins started working on Bad Company, a sci-war epic, written by Peter Milligan with artwork by Ewins and Jim McCarthy (brother of Brendan).
Judge Dredd is a fictional character who appears in British comic books published by Rebellion Developments, as well as in a number of movie and video game adaptations. He was created by writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra, and first appeared in the second issue of 2000 AD (1977), a weekly science-fiction anthology. He is that magazine's longest-running character.
Joseph Dredd is a law enforcement officer in the dystopian future city of Mega-City One in North America. He is a "street judge", empowered to summarily arrest, convict, sentence, and execute criminals.
The character of Dredd is well known and his name is sometimes invoked in discussions of police states, authoritarianism, and the rule of law.
When Pat Mills was developing 2000 AD in 1976, he brought in his former writing partner, John Wagner, to develop characters. Wagner had written various Dirty Harry-style "tough cop" stories for other titles, and suggested a character who took that concept to its logical extreme. Mills had developed a horror strip called Judge Dread (after the British ska and reggae artist Alexander Minto Hughes ) but abandoned the idea as unsuitable for the new comic; but the name, with the spelling modified to "Dredd" at the suggestion of sub-editor Kelvin Gosnell, was adopted by Wagner.
Bad Company are an English hard rock supergroup formed in Westminster, London, in 1973 by two former Free band members—singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke—as well as Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs and King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell.Peter Grant, who managed the rock band Led Zeppelin, also managed Bad Company until 1982.
Bad Company enjoyed great success throughout the 1970s. Their first three albums, Bad Company (1974), Straight Shooter (1975), and Run With the Pack (1976), reached the top five in the album charts in both the UK and US. Many of their singles, such as "Bad Company", "Can't Get Enough", "Good Lovin' Gone Bad", and "Feel Like Makin' Love", remain staples of classic rock radio.
There was a rumour that singer Paul Rodgers was so enamored with the Jeff Bridges film Bad Company that he chose to name his band after it, but Rodgers, in an interview with Spinner.com, explained that the idea came from a book of Victorian morals that showed a picture of an innocent kid looking up at an unsavory character leaning against a lamppost. The caption read "beware of bad company".
2000 AD refers to the year 2000 in the Anno Domini (AD) calendar era. It may also refer to:

You've heard of Judge Dredd but how do you get into a character that has been with us for nearly 40 years. He's been the mainstay of 2000 AD and The Judge Dredd Megazine. Plus he's appeared in Annuals, Specials, Novels, e-Books, Audio books and 2 films on the big screen. The Daily Dredds is the perfect way to get into Old Stony Face, as it brings his world to life in short, sharp, succinct stories and includes many of his enemies, crimes, locations in the stories that we have come to know over the decades.

Huw J Davies was very kind to sit with Chris for an interview at the Urban Species booth at Kapow! Comic Con 2012 in London, where he spoke to us about his work, his opinion on the British Comics Scene and most importantly to raise awareness for Brett Ewins (2000AD) who was wrongly arrested earlier this year following an altercation with police. Definitely the most interesting man we met that day. Check out www.urbanspecies.co.uk Presenter: Chris Maddock Camera: Lord Jimsicle Sound: Lord Jimsicle

Posted the mall like who?
I don't have the air I don't like you
Three four rose and they're all like uuu
I don't have a ball like cowboys do
I do what I want when I want
Unlike you, tonight alpha two
What it do, what it don't, what they do, what they don't
Baby just jump, just jump, and you don't
Baby let's rap, big girls for my all freaky friends, and freak all tonight
Baby let's rap cause I'm ready to motherfucking party, yo all know
You look like you're ... so get on the floor, show me what you can do
Cause I wanna rock with you
I want together on the chair, let's move on the chair
Touch me like you ain't scared, cause I'm about to touch you
Everybody get up with me
You got that fire yes you do
Let me show you everything I can do
Let me show you everything I can do, let me show you
You could rock my party, you could rock my party, you could rock my party
You could rock my party, you could rock my party, you could rock my party
Everybody get up with me, let me give fair warning I just like I want it cause I can, and I know you want it
... let's keep it going
Everybody get up with me, you got that fire yes you do
Let me show you everything I can do, let me show you
Let me show you everything I can do, let me show you
You could rock my party, you could rock my party, you could rock my party
You could rock my party, you could rock my party, you could rock my party
Everybody get up with me, and dance, dance like you got it going on
It could be a fast or slow song, don't let it ... right or wrong
And dance, dance like you're dancing by yourself
Don't think about nobody else
See you did it because of what you felt
And dance
Everybody get up with me, let me give fair warning I just like I want it cause I can, and I know you want it
Just do your thing like you do
I need to see you I wanna get into it, let's keep it moving
You could rock my party, you could rock my party, you could rock my party
You could rock my party, you could rock my party, you could rock my party
You got that fire yes you do
Let me show you everything I can do, let me show you
You got that fire yes you do
