Jonathon (originally John) Albert "The Impaler" Sharkey (born April 2, 1964) is an American professional wrestler and perennial candidate. He resides in Florida and initially attempted to run for President as a Republican in 2012.^[3] On August 24, 2011, he formally ended his presidential campaign, but states that he has "all intentions of running in 2020."^[4]

He formerly lived in Minnesota but moved to Florida in 2010.^[5] Sharkey has three living children, and a fourth child who is now deceased.^[6] He also has a grandson. Sharkey says that he has never dated anyone over 19 years old since 2006. Sharkey drinks his girlfriends' blood and one of his former girlfriends, Audrianna Foster, has claimed to be a vampire herself.^[7]

Wrestling career[link]

Sharkey began wrestling in 1988. He began his career with Larry Sharpe's WWA promotion, facing "Diamond Jim" Brady in a boxer vs. wrestler match. Following this, he worked with a number of other wrestling promoters including Rocky Johnson, father of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. He cites his greatest wrestling influences as Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat.^[6]

Beliefs and vampirism[link]

Sharkey claims that he first drank blood at age five and now consumes the blood of his girlfriends and mistresses twice a week.^[8][9] He has described his vampirism as "a very healthy thing to do" and has praised Hollywood for making vampire feeding practices "romantic and erotic". He drinks only women's blood because "women are beautiful... they have such beautiful necks and arms".^[10] He claims to be well known among the vampire community, and says he drinks cow and pig blood.^[11]

Sharkey is a Luciferian^[6] who "turned against God" because he would not worship a God who "caused the deaths of innocent children" and "allowed his only son to be used as a sacrifice on the cross".^[10] He compares Lucifer to the Founding Fathers of the United States, arguing that they both exemplify the idea of rebellion against tyranny.^[6] He says he doesn't hate Jesus, just God the Father, and that he follows the goddess Hecate in addition to Lucifer. ^[6] In 2006, his then-wife and blood donor Julie Carpenter was fired from her job as a school bus driver in Princeton, Minnesota because her employer was nervous about having a "witch" driving schoolchildren around. Carpenter described herself as pagan rather than a witch, and that her boss was unable to tell the difference.^[1]

Political positions[link]

He has described his policy on crime as follows: "Certain criminals, instead of being put in jail, they should be brutally tortured and impaled.... Upon them being found guilty of their crimes I'll beat them, torture them, dismember them and decapitate them."^[9] In an appearance on Tucker Carlson's television show, he agreed with the host's description of him as "not simply a vampire, [but] a right-wing vampire" and said his policy for dealing with drug dealers is to "go to Sicilian families and have them attack the drug dealers for me".^[10]

Sharkey strongly criticized President George W. Bush, whom he described as a "wuss" and a communist who was responsible for the deaths of innocent Americans in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. He has expressed a desire to try, and convict, and impale Bush,^[10] and has since stated that "Obama is even worse than Bush, and I never thought anyone could be worse than Bush. He has no idea how to run a country, nor should he be running a country."^[6]

Sharkey once served on the Hillsborough County, Florida Republican Party's Executive Committee. A. J. Matthews, who also serves on the committee, has described Sharkey as someone who believes in "Republican values" but said that Sharkey needs to focus on campaign issues rather than "extreme behaviors".^[12]

Sharkey says that he would ban abortion and the teaching of evolution in public schools. On other social issues, he leans libertarian; he supports equal rights for gays. He opposes President Obama's health care reform and said that he would replace it with a plan of his own in which the poor would receive free medical and dental care; the expenses would be paid with government taxes on marijuana and prostitution, which Sharkey supports legalizing and regulating. On foreign policy, he wishes to bring American troops home from foreign war zones. In keeping with his belief in the goddess Hecate, he supports environmentalism and "protecting Mother Earth". He said that his ideal running mate would be former New Jersey governor Christine Todd Whitman. During the 2012 election cycle, he criticized Republican rival Michele Bachmann as "too flakey for me".^[6]

Sharkey has filed with the Federal Election Commission to run for President of the United States twice as an Independent candidate (in 2004^[13] and in 2008^[14]) and for Congress in at least three states—his home State of New Jersey (1999–2000, Republican),^[15] Indiana (Reform Party, 2000)^[16] and Florida (2001–02, Republican).^[17] In 2006, he ran for governor of Minnesota.^[18]

Legal troubles[link]

Sharkey was investigated by the United States Secret Service for threatening to impale President George W. Bush. Agents visited Sharkey at his home for questioning. A spokesman for the Secret Service said that he didn't believe the investigation was an overreaction.^[19] He has also been jailed in Tennessee for making threats against an Indiana judge. Investigators confiscated two rifles and a wooden stake with spikes at his house. While in Tennessee he had reportedly attempted to set up a colony for vampires.^[11][20] He has also been accused of "brainwashing" a 16-year-old girl in Minnesota, whose family now has a restraining order against him, and has admitted to harassing another 16-year-old Minnesota girl online.^[12]

Sharkey's 2006 bid for Minnesota governor was cut short after Sharkey was arrested by Minnesota police on an outstanding Indiana arrest warrant, sent to Mille Lacs County jail and extradited to Indiana.^[1]

In 2010, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children issued an alert after a 16-year-old girl, Paige Brewer, from Faribault, Minnesota ran away with Sharkey. The alert described Brewer as an "endangered runaway", and Brewer's mother labeled Sharkey a psychopath. Sharkey and Brewer subsequently posted comments online in which they stated their intention to get married. Police investigators in Faribault subsequently stated that they were not treating the matter as a missing persons case,^[21] but one Faribault police detective attempted to establish contact with Brewer. Brewer's mother stated that Sharkey had "completely brainwashed" her daughter, while Brewer alleged that she herself was a vampire,^[22] that she had been a victim of child abuse and her decision to elope with Sharkey was her own. In response to critics of her relationship with Sharkey, Brewer reportedly said "I bit him first. Let me live my life." ^[22] She also expressed a desire to obtain legal emancipation from her mother.^[21][22] Sharkey expressed a desire to "completely destroy" Brewer's mother,^[22] who eventually won a court order keeping Sharkey away from her daughter, who was taken into custody by police ^[23] and returned home.^[24]

Steven John "Steve" Wilkos ( /ˈwɪlkoʊs/; born March 9, 1964)^[1] is an American television personality, a former U.S. Marine and officer with the Chicago police.^[2] He currently hosts his own talk show, The Steve Wilkos Show, and is also known as the former director of security on The Jerry Springer Show. Wilkos had previously substituted for Springer as host on several occasions before being given his own talk show.

Wilkos was born in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Lane Technical High School in 1982 then joined the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1982 to 1989. He joined the Chicago Police Department in 1990.^[1][2] His wife, Rachelle Wilkos, is the executive producer for Springer as well as his own show; Steve and Rachelle have two children, Ruby (born 2003) and Jack (born 2005). They lived in Park Ridge, Illinois while working in Chicago.^[3] Steve and his family currently reside in the Stamford, Connecticut area where the show is now taped.^[4]

[edit] The Jerry Springer Show

In May 1994, the producers of The Jerry Springer Show, taped in Chicago, needed security guards for a Ku Klux Klan-related show, so they decided to hire off-duty police. Wilkos then worked part-time for Springer security.^[5] He recruited several fellow officers for the job,^[2] and worked exclusively for the show, leaving the police department in 2001.

Entertainment Weekly reported that Wilkos became a professional wrestler with the Maryland Championship Wrestling, during a temporary production hiatus of Springer.^[6][7] In 2005, Wilkos appeared as a guest on Check, Please!, a restaurant-reviewing program on Chicago's PBS station, WTTW.^[8]

Beyond Springer, he has made cameo appearances on the TV series Between Brothers, The Wayans Bros. and The Simpsons, and in the movie Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me where he was seen as a security guard for Jerry Springer.^[9]

In January 2007, NBC Universal Television officially announced that Wilkos would host a talk show of his own based at NBC Tower in Chicago. The self-titled program premiered on September 10, 2007 to high ratings.^[10] Steve is known for his abrasive approach to solving disputes.

While performing security functions at The Jerry Springer Show, Steve would occasionally step in to interrupt or separate guests that would get involved in physical altercations. During his attempt to separate the fighting party, the crowd would sometimes call out his name, "STEVE! STEVE! STEVE!" in support of his actions. Other times, he would be the subject of flirtatious comments and he would ride the guests by either the invited guests or the audience, afterwards someone in the crowd would again call his name out. This action replicated itself on his own show, often substituting applause for "STEVE! STEVE! STEVE!" as a sign of approval.

As of August 2009, the show has moved its filming location to Stamford, Connecticut.

On October 25, 2010, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution announced “The Steve Wilkos Show” has been renewed through September 2014.

The show started airing on Living 2, then Living it and later, Sky Living.

The show was parodied on the adult television cartoon, The Boondocks, with John DiMaggio voicing Wilkos.

Pattinson was born in London, England. His mother, Clare, worked for a modelling agency, and his father, Richard, imported vintage cars from the U.S.^[14] Pattinson has two elder sisters, singer Lizzy Pattinson, and Victoria Pattinson.^[15][16] Growing up in the Barnes suburb of London,^[17] he attended Tower House School until he was 12, and then The Harrodian School.^[18][19] He became involved in amateur theatre at the Barnes Theatre Company. He auditioned and was cast in a small role in Guys and Dolls. He next auditioned for Thornton Wilder's Our Town and was cast as George Gibbs. He also played in Anything Goes and Macbeth.^[20] He caught the attention of an acting agent in a production of Tess of the d'Urbervilles and began looking for professional roles.

Pattinson began modelling when he was twelve years old, but the number of jobs began to decrease only four years later. In December 2008 he blamed the lack of work as a model on his masculine appearance: "When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. Pattinson had supporting roles in the made for television film Ring of the Nibelungs in 2004 and in director Mira Nair’s Vanity Fair, although his scenes in the latter were deleted and only appear on the DVD version.^[23] In May 2005, he was slated to appear in the UK premiere of The Woman Before at the Royal Court Theatre, but was fired shortly before the opening night and was replaced by Tom Riley.^[24] Later that year he played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In 2008 Pattinson landed the coveted role of Edward Cullen in the film Twilight, based on Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novel of the same name. According to TV Guide, Pattinson was initially apprehensive about auditioning for the role of Edward Cullen, fearful that he would not be able to live up to the "perfection" expected from the character.^[28] The film was released on November 21, 2008 and turned Pattinson into an instant overnight moviestar.^[29] Though the film received mixed reviews, critics praised his and co-star Kristen Stewart's chemisty in the film.^[30] The New York Times called Pattinson a "capable and exotically beautiful" actor^[31] and Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times said he was "well-chosen" for the role.^[32]

On May 13, 2010, Pattinson appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and on May 18, The Ellen DeGeneres Show for his film, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.^[39] He attended the official worldwide red carpet premiere for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on June 24, 2010, at the Los Angeles Nokia Theatre^[40] and the film was released on June 30, 2010, earning $698,491,347 worldwide.^[41][42]

In 2010, Pattinson executively produced and starred in the film Remember Me, which was released on March 12, 2010.^[43]

In 2011, he starred as Jacob Jankowski in Water for Elephants, a film adaptation of the Sara Gruen novel of the same name, with Christoph Waltz and Reese Witherspoon.^[44] The film received mixed reviews but Pattinson's performance was praised. Pattinson plays guitar and piano, and composes his own music.^[57] He also appears as the singer of two songs on the Twilight soundtrack: "Never Think", which he co-wrote with Sam Bradley,^[58] and "Let Me Sign", which was written by Marcus Foster and Bobby Long.^[59] The songs were included in the film after director Catherine Hardwicke added Pattinson's recordings into an early cut without his knowledge, and he agreed that "one of them specifically, it really made the scene better. It was like it was supposed to be there."^[5] The soundtrack for the film How to Be features three original songs performed by Pattinson^[60] and written by composer Joe Hastings.^[61]

Pattinson was named one of the "Sexiest Men Alive" in 2008 and 2009 by People magazine.^[62][63] In 2009, he was also named the "Sexiest Man Alive" by Glamour.^[64] Ask Men named Pattinson as one of the top 49 most influential men of 2009.^[65] In 2009, Vanity Fair named Pattinson "the most handsome man in the world" along with Angelina Jolie as the most beautiful woman in the world.^[66]
