The deep, searching questions by Richard Carelton towards Bob Hawke over the way Hawke assumed the position of Prime Minister triggered on of the most memorable outburst by a Prime Minister during a televised broadcast. Mani Nasry an exceptionally talented filmmaker, actor and artist with a sophisticated breadth of education, skills, experience, and professional accomplishments. He trained as an actor and director in New York with Salem Ludwig and with Donna DeMatteo for playwriting. For Mani, the decision to work in the film industry guided his academic decisions from an early age. He attended a Toronto high school renowned for excellence in the arts, and was accepted into one of the highly competitive film program at Ryerson university. It is notable that he went to Ryerson with an already well-established career in theatre, film, television and commercial work, and a range of multi-faceted achievements including producing, cinematography, casting, writing, directing, acting, and editing. On his own he added stints in New York and Los Angeles with leading acting teachers, as well as learning the grace and style of many forms of dance and athletics. With courses perceptively, he has also recognized the importance of acquiring an understanding of the business side of the industry, and the varied aspects of technology and production. There are some people clearly born to follow the path they have chosen from the start. Mani Nasry has the passion to succeed, the curiosity and ingenuity required to lead and collaborate in an industry known for its impact and appeal, and the strength of character and work ethic to immerse himself in finding and telling an unforgettable story.

Desillusion magazine and Nixon proudly present their latest video instalment “This is Andrew”, a video portrait paying tribute to US street skateboarder Andrew Reynolds.
Growing up in a small town in Florida, Andrew started skateboarding at a very young age. Due to his exceptional talent – Reynolds won the first contest he ever entered – he drew the attention of the skate industry and landed on some of the top sponsored teams as a teenager. Following Tony Hawk and others to the Californian epicentre of skateboarding at the age of 18, he met fellow skateboarders like Jim Greco, Ali Boulala and Knox Godoy, later on known as the “Pissed Drunx”, ruling the streets of LA.
Years of money, fame, and fast living follow, until Reynolds aka “The Boss” became the first one to reach a turning point in his life. Going down the hard road of rehab and recuperation, he managed to rise back on track maintaining his skill, style and laid back approach. With his part in Emerica’s “Stay Gold” Andrew again impresses the skateboarding community, fans and friends, showing the world how far stern determination and true passion can lead you.
“This is Andrew” is a thoughtful portrait of one of the most intriguing personalities skateboarding has seen. In some unprecedented interview footage Reynolds shares what inspires him and made him change his lifestyle, his love for skateboarding and deep loyalty to his friends.

And the most amazing thing is that we hold the power to control our minds - we allow fear to dominate our lives or we choose to dominate fear. Those are our only two choices.

Lynne Strong, a dairy farmer from Jamberoo, NSW, was announced as the winner of the inaugural Bob Hawke Landcare Award. The Strongs are seventh-generation dairy farmers. The success of their farming enterprise, Clover Hill Dairies—which produces six times the industry average of litres of milk per hectare—shows that sustainable agricultural practices can also be highly productive, profitable and efficient.
