Tha Chin River
The Tha Chin river (Thai: แม่น้ำท่าจีน, rtgs: Maenam Tha Chin, pronounced [mɛ̂ːnáːm tʰâː tɕiːn]) is a distributary of the Chao Phraya river, Thailand. It splits near the province of Chai Nat and then flows west from the Chao Phraya through the central plains, until it empties into the Gulf of Thailand in Samut Sakhon Province.
Regional names
The Tha Chin river has many regional names. After it splits from Chao Phraya river at Chai Nat, it is called Makham Thao River; while passing Suphan Buri it is the Suphan River; while passing Nakhon Pathom it becomes the Nakhon Chai Si river. Only near its mouth at Samut Sakhon does it become the Tha Chin River, named after the former name of Samut Sakhon. The name Tha Chin is the convention used in most scientific documents.
Tributaries
Tributaries of the Tha Chin include the Kra Sieo, Yang, Tawip, Chorakhe Sam, Bang Len, and Chin Si Rivers.
Tha Chin basin
The Tha Chin drains a total area of 13,681 square kilometers (5,282 sq mi). The Tha Chin Basin is part of the Chao Phraya Watershed.

Chin
The chin or the mental region is the area of the face below the lower lip and including the mandibular prominence. It tends to be smaller and more rounded in human females, while bigger and more square in human males. It is formed by the lower front of the mandible. In humans there is a wide variety of chin structures, e.g. cleft chin.
In human evolution, the chin is a cladistic apomorphy, partially defining anatomically modern humans as distinct from archaic forms. Non-human anthropoid apes have a simian shelf for example. Elephants are the only other animals considered to display such a feature, although this leads to debate over the use of the term.
The chin emerged during the Middle and Late Pleistocene, but its origin and biomechanical significance are the subjects of controversy. Prominent hypotheses include buttressing the jaw against stresses resulting from speech or chewing as well as simple sexual selection through mate choice. With the advent of more advanced computational facilities, finite element analyses have been used to support hypotheses involving mechanical stress. On the other hand, increased availability of data regarding sexual dimorphism in chins has also lent support to the sexual selection hypothesis as sexual dimorphism is more difficult to explain under other regimes. It is possible that multiple causal factors have played a role in the chin's evolution.

The Don Wai floating market is Thai food market and origin of many Thai dessert. Travelers like a taste of Thai food and Thai dessert. And also buying the agricultural products from villagers. How to Go to Don Wai Market
1. Drive a Car
1.1.Way1 Form Somdet Phra Pinklao Bridge, straight pinklao - Nakhon Chai Si road. When through Phuttamonthon 1, 2, and 3 then arrival Phuttamonthon 4 observe the signs turn left into the phutthamonthon 5. Distance around 1 km will see the intersection turn right. Go straight to Don Wai temple. Total of distance from Somdet Phra Pinklao Bridge to Don Wai temple is 27 km. Spend time 15-30 minute.
1.2 Way2 Use the Phetkasem Road, from intersection of thapra. Go straight when thought Bang khae, Nong khaem, and crossroad on Phuttamonthon 4 road. When arrival the intersection of Phuttamonthon 5 road then turns right. Next, go straight 6 km and turn left head to Don Wai temple. Total distance 30 km. Spend time 30-60 minute.
2. By Bus and Van
2.1 Use a van at Merry King Pinklao go to Don Wai temple and Rai Khing temple. The price is 40 Bath. Spend time 20-40 minute.
2.2 Phetkasem road, you can use the service. The bus number 84. The price around 12-19 Bath. Get off at the entrance of Rai Khing temple, then use the minibus came to Don Wai temple. The price is 7-10 Bath. Or use motocycle taxi came to Don Wai temple. The price is 40-50 Bath.
2.3 At Bangkok Bus Terminal (Southern), you can use the bus to go to Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, or Kanchanaburi. You must tell the diver park on the entrance way of Don Wai temple. Next, use minibus and you can travel all the way in both directions.

Located at the entrance of Hailam canal and adjacent to Tha Chin River, Wat Tha Mai is at 51, Moo 11, Ban Tha Mai, Setthakit 1 Road (Soi 8), Tha Mai subdistrict, Krathum Baen district, Samut Sakhon Province. Formerly, it was an abbey known as “Po Thamma Rangsi” which was built in 1977. The temple has bought and got donated the combined area of 6 Rai to build the temple hall, the abbot’s residence and a waterfront pavilion. Later, the temple has been abandoned in dilapidated condition until Phra Kru Thammarat (Ecclesiastical Tha Mai subdistrict head) initiated the restoration. A long time ago Suphan Buri was called U Thong, and was the home city of Prince U Thong, the founder of the Ayutthaya kingdom. King Khun Luang Pha Ngua finally gave it the current name. Suphan Buri was an important border city, and also the location of several battles with the neighbouring Burmese.
There are many temples and shrines, museums and historical sites located around Suphan Buri.

Suphanburi, sometimes written Suphan Buri, is a town in central Thailand. Suphanburi lies on the Tha Chin River (known locally as the Suphan River), at an elevation of 11 meters (36 ft). The surrounding area is low-lying and flat, with rice farms covering much of the land.
Suphanburi has a tropical climate. After January temperatures rise until April, which is very hot with the average daily maximum at 36.9 °C (98.4 °F). The monsoon season runs from May through October, with heavy rain and somewhat cooler temperatures during the day, although nights remain warm.
Suphanburi is at the end of a 157 kilometers (98 mi) branch line of the State Railway of Thailand's southern line.

Well I know it has been a while but we are back on the road again! Along the way I will give you some tips for making sure you are a happy RIPper (Retiree In Paradise), show you some cool and fun things to do, places to consider living and a few surprises as well.
So come along while we hit the road and explore Thailand. This time we are around Suphanburi which is about 100kms from Bangkok.
Suphanburi, sometimes written Suphan Buri, is a town in central Thailand. Suphanburi lies on the Tha Chin River (known locally as the Suphan River), at an elevation of 11 meters (36 ft). The surrounding area is low-lying and flat, with rice farms covering much of the land.
Suphanburi has a tropical climate. After January temperatures rise until April, which is very hot with the average daily maximum at 36.9 °C (98.4 °F). The monsoon season runs from May through October, with heavy rain and somewhat cooler temperatures during the day, although nights remain warm.
Suphanburi is at the end of a 157 kilometers (98 mi) branch line of the State Railway of Thailand's southern line.

Located at the entrance of Hailam canal and adjacent to Tha Chin River, Wat Tha Mai is at 51, Moo 11, Ban Tha Mai, Setthakit 1 Road (Soi 8), Tha Mai subdistrict, Krathum Baen district, Samut Sakhon Province. Formerly, it was an abbey known as “Po Thamma Rangsi” which was built in 1977.
The temple has bought and got donated the combined area of 6 Rai to build the temple hall, the abbot’s residence and a waterfront pavilion. Later, the temple has been abandoned in dilapidated condition until Phra Kru Thammarat (Ecclesiastical Tha Mai subdistrict head) initiated the restoration. Eventually, it was appointed as a monastery on 28 February 1989.
The verdant temple is filled with trees and houses a pond with the measurement of 4 meters wide by 40 meters long. Within the premises, there is a riverfront garden displaying images of Lord Buddha fighting Mara, Mother Earth, Sahambodi Brahma and the Buddha’s first sermon etched on a granite slate. Near the waterfront central hall stands the statue of Phra Sangkadjai, one of the highly venerable items in the temple.
Other highlights include the assembly hall whose Sema stones in the front are decorated with 7-headed Mujalin Naga. The primary Buddha image inside the assembly hall is the reduplication of Phra Buddha Chinnarat measuring 69 inches across the lap. The temple also contains several pavilions.
For example, the Sermon Hall where Phra Buddha Hiranyarat serves as the main Buddha image; Burapachan Pavilion that enshrines 4 statues of Buddhist masters, namely Luang Pho Tuad, Somdej Phra Puttajarn Toh Phrom-rangsri, Phra Pairote Vutthachan, and Luang Pho Yee; Chinna-banchon Pavilion for dharma and mediation practices; Theva Pitak Pavilion that
enshrines Rahu (the solar eclipse demon); Dharmacakra Kaew pavilion; Quan Yin pavilion; Queen Siri Mahamaya pavilion. In addition to these, there are a number of halls, such as the priests' eating hall, drum tower, belfry, amulets and souvenirs shop.
Visitors also come here to pay homage to Indra, Brahma, Ganesha, Rahu, and Iron Wood goddess. The world’s biggest Lent candle measuring 44 inches wide by 4 meters and 9 inches high is also kept in the temple. Fortune-telling services are so popular that you are required to make a prior reservation. Moreover, the temple provides other services, such as merit extension, luck improvement, karma alleviation, unlucky year prevention, etc.
