Boris Malagurski's award-winning Canadian film "The Weight of Chains", dealing with the breakup of Yugoslavia from a different angle - finally, exclusively, on YouTube!
Watch the film that has stirred controversy around the world, screened at cinemas across Australia, Canada and the US, as well as at film festivals in London (Raindance), Belgrade (Beldocs), Havana, Ann Arbor, Toronto, and many others.
If you thought you knew why Yugoslavia broke up, get ready for 2 hours of shocking facts that will shed a different light on Western intervention in the Balkans. Nicknamed the "Serbian Michael Moore" by the oldest daily newspaper in the Balkans, Malagurski will expose the root causes of the Yugoslav wars and explain that the goal was for the West to create economic and geopolitical colonies in that part of the world.
Who's in the film? Everyone from former "Economic Hitman" John Perkins, Retired Major General of the UN Army Lewis Mackenzie, Canadian economist Michel Chossudovsky, Canadian journalist Scott Taylor, former Canadian Ambassador to Yugoslavia James Bissett, humanitarian Vlade Divac and the list goes on!
This film was funded exclusively through donations, so please support the project by buying a DVD of the film through the film's website:
http://www.weightofchains.com/buy
Also! Please donate towards the next film that Boris Malagurski is working on: The Weight of Chains 2, which will continue the story where the first film ends! Watch the trailer and donate now at:

About Film: Surkaab, a story of our times… of globalization, immigration and basic survival. Jeet, has spent her formative years training hard to become a state level Judo champion. The discipline required has made Jeet into a straight shooter, who is unafraid to say things as they are. Now, trying to adjust to a life after sports, she finds herself tackling the chauvinistic and corrupt world of a life in a village in Punjab.
Needless to say, she finds herself in deep trouble which necessitates that she leave, and leave quickly. She has no desire to leave her roots but is left with no option. Although she has no trust in them, Jeet is forced to ask the help of the local hustler Balbir and his nephew Kuldeep. Through them she obtains a counterfeit visa to come to see her brother in Toronto, Canada.
The film explores the real life challenges and obstacles faced by a reluctant immigrant to one of the most beautiful, peaceful and “safe” countries in the world. All Jeet wants is to see her brother and make a basic life for herself. Will Jeet survive? Can she make sense of what is happening to and around her?
This is the story of one woman’s courageous journey to build a life she can live with dignity, honesty and above all, integrity.
Jeet is a fiesty and headstrong Punjabi woman, who, believes in facing her life head on. She does not get down easily, has an inherent positivity about herself and believes in facing life, with her head held high and her fist ready. Deep inside she is a straight forward and simple person, but unfortunately for her, the world she exists in, is not about straightforwardness. The word fear and self pity are as alien to Jeet, as the world, she is about to get into......

FOUR HORSEMEN is an award winning independent feature documentary which lifts the lid on how the world really works.
As we will never return to 'business as usual' 23 international thinkers, government advisors and Wall Street money-men break their silence and explain how to establish a moral and just society.
FOUR HORSEMEN is free from mainstream media propaganda -- the film doesn't bash bankers, criticise politicians or get involved in conspiracy theories. It ignites the debate about how to usher a new economic paradigm into the world which would dramatically improve the quality of life for billions.
"It's Inside Job with bells on, and a frequently compelling thesis thanks to Ashcroft's crack team of talking heads -- economists, whistleblowers and Noam Chomsky, all talking with candour and clarity." - Total Film
"Four Horsemen is a breathtakingly composed jeremiad against the folly of Neo-classical economics and the threats it represents to all we should hold dear."

Young Tamil Canadian artists have obtained worldwide fame in the past few years. This has brought the artists and the industry, if you will, to the forefront.
So in this episode of crossroads, we explore the status of talent development with our community. What are the things that we are doing right that we need to continue? What are the things that we are doing wrong that we need to stop? And of course, what are the things that we need to start doing to advance talent development. In short, we will do a start, stop, continue analysis of Tamil Canadian Talent development.
To discuss this topic, I had the pleasure of having three amazing young and established artists on the panel.
Lenin M. Sivam is a Canadian filmmaker. He was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka and raised in Toronto, Canada. He is a talented storyteller who writes, directs and produces most of his films. Sivam is widely acclaimed for "revolutionizing Eelam cinema" through his offbeat, realistic and powerful depiction of the Tamil Diaspora. His first short, A Few Good People, won the Best Short Film of the Year Award from the Independent Art Film Society in 2006. After several years of making short films, Sivam first achieved international recognition with his feature film debut “1999” in 2009, which won critical acclaim winning several film awards both in Canada and around the world establishing Sivam as an emerging Canadian filmmaker to watch for. Sivam was named as one of the Toronto's Most Influential Tamils by the Tamil Culture Magazine in 2012. Sivam’s success continued with his next film, A Gun & A Ring (2013), which was well received both critically and commercially and made its world premiere at the Shanghai International Film Festival in June 2013 and shortlisted for the coveted Golden Goblet Award.
Luksimi Sivaneswaralingam is a final year student at the University of Toronto, completing her undergraduate degree in music. She will begin her post- grad in September in music education. She is not only a musician and dancer, but is an active member in the community in the community.
Yalini Rajakulasingam is a classical dancer trained in bharathanatyam. She graduated from the university of toronto with a major in political science and a Minor in theatre and performance studies and religion. She started training under her mother, Manimekalai and then began her Formal training under smt.nirainjana chandru. After completing her arangetram she went to India and began her advance training under Narthaki Nataraj. Since then she has been travelling to india to perform and continue her training.
