Virgin Radio is a brand owned by the Virgin Group. Virgin Radio International was established in 2001 to develop the brand and has since built one of the world's most popular music radio franchises, broadcasting in multiple languages and music based formats in North America, Europe and Asia – including the Middle East – and has 18 million listeners worldwide. Virgin Radio stations in each country are owned independently of the Virgin Group and of each other and generally carry independent programming tailored to local tastes.
The first Virgin Radio branded station initially broadcast in the UK between 1993 and 2008 under several owners, but was renamed Absolute Radio after a further ownership change in 2008.
In January 2015, it was announced that Virgin Radio International and UTV Media had partnered to relaunch Virgin Radio subject to Ofcom awarding the necessary broadcast licence. In March 2015, Ofcom awarded a UK digital terrestrial commercial radio licence for Virgin Radio UK and the station is expected to launch in March 2016.
CFBT-FM is a Canadian contemporary hit radio (CHR) radio station in the Greater Vancouver region of British Columbia. It broadcasts at 94.5 MHz on the FM band with an effective radiated power of 90,000 Watts from a transmitter on Mount Seymour in the District of North Vancouver. Owned by Bell Media, with studios located at Robson and Burrard in Vancouver, the station broadcasts a contemporary hit radio format branded as 94.5 Virgin Radio. The station's main competitors are CKKS-FM and CKZZ-FM.
The 94.5 FM frequency was originally assigned by a low-power temporary FM radio station to provide information on traffic conditions between Vancouver and Coquitlam, which received approval in 1998.
The CRTC began the application process for a new Vancouver FM station in the fall of 2000. There were eleven prospective applicants, reflecting the fact that the 94.5 MHz frequency was the last remaining high-power FM slot in the Vancouver market. On June 5, 2001, Focus Communications was granted a licence to operate an Urban format. The station's call letters, CFBT-FM, were assigned in November of the same year, and an official launch date was set for March 4, 2002 as the second urban station in Canada. Test transmissions began in mid-February 2002. The station adopted a "soft start" launch wherein announcers and programming were gradually introduced over a period of several weeks. By mid-2003, the station changed to more of a rhythmic top 40 format.

FM 2 begins in the village of Courtney, at a county road near the Washington County line. It runs along the northeastern edge of the TDCJ O.L. Luther Prison Unit. It then continues through rural farmland in Grimes County. It then travels east, crossing SH 6 and passing several prison farms before ending at FM 362.
FM 2 was designated in 1941 from Courtney east to SH 6. The designation was extended to FM 362 on May 2, 1962, which added approximately 4.4 miles to FM 2.

CFBT-FM is Vancouver's The Beat 94.5 - The station goes into automation in the evenings, and I recorded 60minutes of it. In 60mins I heard over four and a half minutes of imaging..They had it at the end of every song and between ad breaks. I did notice a mention of the Kid Carson show, odd considering he just left for the competition...I am NOT affiliated with The Beat, CFBT, BCE, or any of the staff... Recorded Monday Apr 30th
