Once mounted in, it requires a high capacity M4 magazine with its loading port open. The box holds rounds and it gravity feeds into the reserve of the M4 Mag. The M4 mag is inserted and bbs enter the gun when the trigger is pulled. After 20+ shots the mag needs to be wound just like if it was an M4. The empty space beneath the red dot scope can be used to mount an external battery.
