The one branch of our military that seems to be overlooked is the U.S. Coast Guard. This is a great example that demonstrates how the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard, as well as the rest of our military willingly choose to risk their lives for us every day. Whether at war, conducting combat operations against the Taliban and insurgent forces in Afghanistan, denying the drug cartels of Mexico and Columbia the right to freely move drugs across our border and into the United States, or as we see in this video, taking steps to prepare for the possibility of future rescue events. We can always count on the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines! Our Coast Guard, however, deserves a special shout out for all that they do while not always noticed. To all of our Coast Guard sailors at Air Station Astoria Oregon, Cape Cod, New Haven, Houston, Galveston, Corpus Christi, Clearwater Florida, and many other ports across the country - thank you!
