The Regiment: Tactical shooter based on the SAS
Sorry for the quality, once again nicked straight from my facebook. "Me playing The Regiment, a tactical shooter based on the SAS. The game is all about speed and aggression. Stacking up, lobbing in stun grenades and storming in, shooting all armed terrorists and saving the hostages. With all the loud noises, explosison and shouting, it's been said to reflect how real life close quarters battle actually is. This level takes place during the Iranian Embassy Siege in London during 1980. Obviously there weren't that many terrorists in the real life event as in the game, and they certainly didn't carry M60 machine guns... The bit where I got shot near the end was a near fatal mistake by me. When I was storming the room, I should have gone to the right side and engaged the target that shot me and let the 2nd member shoot the one I shot, infact I got in his way. bad bad bad!!!"

The Paratroop Regiment (British Army) - History To Present Day (1 Of 2)
Documentary which reveals how the Parachute Regiment's historic missions in Normandy and Arnhem in World War II continue to motivate its recruits to this day. The Parachute Regiment is the Airborne Infantry of the British Army. One battalion is permanently under the command of the Director Special Forces in the Special Forces Support Group. The other battalions are the parachute infantry component of the British Army's rapid response formation 16 Air Assault Brigade. It is the only line infantry regiment that has not been amalgamated with another unit since the end of the Second World War. Members of the Parachute Regiment are known to the rest of the army and the British public by the nickname the Paras. The Parachute Regiment was formed during the Second World War and eventually raised 17 battalions. In Europe, these battalions formed part of the 1st Airborne Division, the 6th Airborne Division and the 2nd Independent Parachute Brigade. Another three battalions served with the British Indian Army in India and Burma. The regiment took part in five major parachute assault operations, often landing ahead of all other troops, during which they fought in North Africa, Italy, Greece, France, the Netherlands and Germany. At the end of the Second World War, the regiment was reduced to three regular army battalions first assigned to the 16th Parachute Brigade and later the 5th Airborne Brigade. The reserve 16th Airborne Division was formed using the regiment reserve battalions ...

Regimental Slow Marches of the Foot Guards
Video is not amazing, the music is main thing. If someone asks why I put Figaro at last in this video it's because of Regimental Motto of the Coldstream Guards - Nulli Secundus. 1. Grenadier Guards - Scipio 2. Scots Guards - The Garb of the Old Gaul 3. Irish Guards - Let Erin Remember 4. Welsh Guards - Men of Harlech 5. Coldstream Guards - Figaro

BLACK HORSE REGIMENT: 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment BEST COMBAT UNIT in Vietnam 1/3
America's most capable and successful combat unit in Vietnam was the 11th Armored Cavalry (ACR) "Black Horse" Regiment--bar none. Watch this amazing documentary and learn what RIGHT LOOKS LIKE. Light mechanized M113 Gavins with armored cavalry assault vehicle (ACAV aka female machine gun light tank) gunshield kits www.combatreform.org can roam cross-country at-will to maneuver where needed to dominate fluid, non-linear battlefield (NLB) situations: www.geocities.com Even Vietnam's closed terrain couldn't stop 11th ACR ground and air cavalry maneuver. The 11th ACR was a self-contained cavalry formation (today it's the OPFOR at Fort Irwin, NTC but has deployed to combat in Iraq) with its own M48 Patton medium and M551 Sheridan light tanks backed by M109 105mm and 155mm self-propelled howitzers (SPHs). It even had its own mini-Air Force of a "ThunderHorse" air cavalry troop with UH-1 Huey helicopter gunships that could also insert/extract aeroscouts. The first thing the Black Horse Regiment did was to invite the VC/NVA to try to ambush them on their main supply route (MSR) which when they flanked them by cross-country maneuver resulted in the enemy being wiped out; restoring civilian use of linear roads. NONE OF THIS TRACKED COMBAT EFFECTIVENESS CAN BE DONE IN STRYKER OR HUMVEE WHEELED TRUCKS. The VC/NVA would kick our asses today if we tried to fight them in our current BS wheeled trucks. YOUTUBE user sonofrattler writes: "Anyone interested in The Blackhorse should read ...

GarryOwen - Original Lyrics~7th Cavalry Regimental March
"Garryowen" is an old Irish quick-step that can be traced back to the early 1860's. In 1867, "Garryowen" was adopted by the 7th Cavalry Regiment as the official Air (tune) of the Regiment, and the historical nickname given to the 7th Cavalry Regiment and Troopers. It became the Official tune of the 1st Cavalry Division in 1981. "Garryowen" has become undoubtedly the most famous of all the regimental marches in the Army. The word garryowen is derived from Irish, the proper name Eóghan ("born of the yew tree") and the word for garden garrai - thus "Eóghan's Garden". The term refers to an area of the town of Limerick, Ireland. "Garryowen" is known to have been used by Irish regiments as a drinking song. As the story goes, one of the Irish "melting pot" Troopers of the 7th Cavalry, under the influence of "spirits", was singing the song. By chance Custer heard the melody, liked the cadence, and soon began to hum the tune to himself. The tune has a lively beat, that accentuates the cadence of marching horses, and for that reason was adopted as the regimental song soon after Custer arrived at Fort Riley, Kansas to take over command of the 7th Cavalry Regiment. It was the last song played for Custer's men as they left General Terry's column at the Powder River and rode into history. The tune became the official "Air" of the Regiment in 1867 and actually became the official tune of the entire 1st Cavalry Division in 1981. The significance of the tune in the Regiment's history led ...
