Story of the Year (also known as Story or SOTY) is an American Rock band formed in St. Louis, Missouri in 1995. The band was initially named Big Blue Monkey, they changed their name to Story of the Year in 2002 after the release of their EP titled "Story of the Year" on indie label Criterion Records when they realized a blues group of the same name had already existed. It would not be until eight years after forming that Story of the Year saw its first piece of commercial success in its major label debut, Page Avenue, containing the popular singles "Until the Day I Die" and "Anthem of Our Dying Day". A second album, In the Wake of Determination, followed in 2005, but did not achieve the success of its predecessor. The band has returned with their third album The Black Swan, their first on Epitaph Records, which was released on April 22, 2008.

April Story
April Story ( Japanese and Chinese: 四月物語) is a Japanese short film directed by Shunji Iwai starring Takako Matsu.
Plot
Uzuki Nireno, a shy girl from the countryside of northern Hokkaidō leaves her family, and gets on a train bound for Tokyo so she can attend the university of her choice. Naive of big city life, she is swindled by the furniture-movers and ignored by her suspicious neighbour. She slowly adjusts to her new environment and sets up her apartment, buys a new bicycle and admires the view of the cherry blossoms. At school she has trouble making friends and is teased by the other students. A tomboy gets her to join the fly-fishing club to enlarge their membership, but her lack of pop-culture knowledge makes it difficult for her to communicate with the other members. Throughout the movie she is embarrassed to answer a simple question - why did she choose this university? She is unable to answer, for her reason is simple but complex. A mystery which is slowly unraveled when she visits the local bookshop.
