Nikon D3200 Review
froknowsphoto.com Let me start of this review by reminding you that the NIkon D3200 is a basic beginner camera. I did not set out to compare the files to this camera or that camera. I simply wanted to use the camera for what it is and review it based on it being a very basic beginner model. With that out of the way I think this is a no questions asked hands down perfect beginner camera for anyone looking to get their first DSLR. The price is not bad at all for what the camera offers you. A new 24 megapixel sensor, fast auto focus, solid HD video and a microphone input. These are qualities that you will find in higher end cameras and this is a sign of where basic cameras are going. I used this camera locally in Philly, on the beach in Florida and at the BEAN and Wrigley Field in Chicago. I just used the camera, that is what its all about, getting out there and shooting and not over analyzing every single aspect of what a camera does or does not do. Overal I think this is a SOLID SOLID camera in terms of price and quality. If I needed a third camera angle to capture video when I am recording I would have no problem picking up one of these bad boys. Who is the Nikon D3200 for? This camera is for anyone from a stay at home mom or dad to someone who has always wanted to get into taking pictures. It is a great starting point and I fully recommend not over thinking the decision when it comes to your first camera and pick one. One recommendation that I always remind beginners ...

Nikon D600 Vs Canon 6D
froknowsphoto.com Click Here for both review on the site. The age old question every time Nikon and Canon put out a similar camera is which one should you buy. This time around we have the Nikon D600 and the Canon 6D. I have done a full review of both of these cameras and during the video you can click the top left or top right to go see that review. Some people like to see two cameras shot in the exact situations and than review the sample images. To me thats just not real, its not shooting in a real world environment which would be almost impossible to replicate the settings and situations. In this video I give you my thoughts on the pros and cons of each camera. In the end I feel that either camera would do a fantastic job. For me I would go with the Nikon but that wont be a surprise to anyone as I already have a ton of Nikon gear. But there are strong reasons for someone going full frame to consider the Canon 6D as well. Check out the video to help you decide which camera would be the right choice for you. Canon 5D Mark III vs Nikon D800 Comparison
www.learningdslrvideo.com I'm really excited to have reviewed both with Canon 5D Mark III and the D800. I have been shooting with both of these camera for awhile and have been taking them both everywhere I go trying them in side by side in different lighting conditions, cloudy, mixed lighting, extreme low light, swimming pools, silhouettes, even time lapses, comparing skin tones, slow motion, landscapes, and pictures styles, and I think I have found some interesting stuff about these cameras that no one else is talking about. I've been wanting to buy a full frame camera for awhile now and I have waiting for the Canon 5D Mark III to come out, but now that Nikon has step up their game on the video side of things, there are two cameras to consider now. Are you an amateur like me wanting to step up to a full frame? In this video comparison I will be talking about this from the amateur level This is by far my most thorough comparison I have ever done since I will be buying one of these cameras. First off, both have pluses and minuses, they are both full frame, have dual card slots SD and CF, 100 view finder coverage, weather sealed body, both have a somewhat similar Continuous Shoot Speed, both have excellent auto focus systems, and both now have new headphone jacks. Nikon - WHY
Nikon D4 Release Video
It's here! The Nikon D4 has arrived and it is a freaking HOT camera! For the past months I have been working in silence with an amazingly talented crew and three of the best athletes on the planet producing my short D4 launch film "WHY". It was like Christmas morning when Nikon called and described the new camera and all of its incredible features. All I could think was that this is the camera we have been waiting for. Then the gift of all gifts... "Corey, dream up a film that you would like to shoot. You pick the topic. You pick the location. It's your film... only requirement is you show off the features of the new camera." My favorite quote from the call was "You have a blank white canvas and it's up to you to fill it". I had to pinch myself several times to confirm that the call was real. Everyone involved has been tight lipped about the project for months and today we can finally begin to share some of the assets and get fired up about the camera!!!
I have always been facinated by those people that are the best at what they do. Those that operate on the edge; scientists, artists, musicians, athletes, etc. Always the question that I find myself asking is "WHY"? What deep inside drives them? What does the world look like through their eyes? Those that live on the edge, push the envelope, redefine sports and industries operate in a space all to themselves. In my Nikon D4 launch film I wanted to visually portray the beauty and intensity of the athletes doing what they do best while also delving into their heads and answering the question "WHY"? There was a very simple list of criteria used when selecting the athletes for this film. 1. They needed to be the best in the world at what they do. 2. They needed to be true role modes / heros. (In short, no ego and just simply fantastic people). Dane, Rebecca and Alex fulfill the requirements in spades!
As it seems to be with many shoots, the schedule for WHY was INSANE! In just 13 days we went from Veracruz, Mexico to Moab, Utah to Joshua Tree, California. With a fantastic crew of eight amazingly talented people, three of the worlds best athletes, over 20 pieces of luggage, three D4 prototypes, an rc helicopter and enough RedBull and ClifBars to keep us awake and moving, the entire journey was epic! Huge days, little sleep, lost bags, crashed helicopter (the D4 lived), speeding tickets (talked our way out of both ;-), wicked mosquito bites, flu, and a trip to the urgent care - all the prerequisites for a great shoot. Just the way I like it!
Special thanks to everyone that helped on this production! Dane Henry, Shawn Corrigan, Rex Lint, Mike Hagadorn; you guys are studs! Blaine Deutsch and Marina Rich, thank you for keeping us all on track, organized, fed and looking good (and Marina, thanks for loving me and being the best wife in the world). Gen Umei, Soichi Hayashi, Jason Jenkins and Mike Corrado; thank you for the opportunity! Dane Jackson, Alex Honnold and Rebecca Rusch, you guys really made the film and answered the question WHY!!! Tommy Thompson and Chris McNamara; thanks for keeping us safe and getting me into the coolest camera positions possible! Amazing team and thank you everyone who helped!
When it is all said and done by far the most exciting part is the future. It's about the collective creativity and vision of the photo and video community and what we will all create when we get a D4 in our hands. One thing is for certain, WHY was just the tip of the iceberg!

Nikon D600 vs D800 vs Canon 5D Mark III - Head-to-Head
Nikon recently released their D600 - a cheaper full frame DSLR - that seems to offer quite a lot of the perks of the D800 and 5D Mark III at a cheaper price albeit cheaper body. Is it worth spending that extra money for the bigger bodies? We put things into perspective by comparing the D600 to the D800 and 5D Mark III while shooting boxing and Kinki.
