Computer-Generated Imagery of Persian Architecture (High Definition)
This Computer-Generated Imagery of Persian Architecture was produced by Cristóbal Vila. www.EtereaeStudios.com Cristóbal Vila: "This piece has been inspired by different examples of Persian Architecture. It's a loose interpretation, because I did not set out to reproduce any specific, well-known building. I gleaned ideas and concepts from here and there, mainly from different temples located in the Iranian city of Isfahan. The main dome is modeled on the structure of the "Moder-E Shah". The pillars and vaults are inspired by the "Mosque of Iman" but the ornamentation is made up. I apologize in advance to any specialists in Islamic Art out there, should they stumble upon any serious conceptual errors."

Beautiful Architecture Of Iran [Persia] - Matching Music
Architecture in "Greater Iran" has a continuous history from at least 5000BCE to the present. Iranian architecture displays great variety: "Some of the most majestic structures the world has ever seen" It's a genius for its decoration with a freedom and success not rivaled in any other architecture. A lot of people were suggesting to get rid of the music on my original video, so i uploaded the same video with better music. I changed the music to a traditional Persian song so it suits the video better. Thanks to all the people who commented on the original video to suggest to get better music. I hope you all like it :) #75 - Top Favorited (Today) - Science & Technology (07 November 2008)

Iranian Post Islam Architecture
Iranian architecture's influence on the Muslim world and the region is grossly understated, this is what Ibn Khaldun narrates in his Muqaddimah (Prolegomenon Universal History, Kitab al-Ibar) It is a remarkable fact that, with few exceptions, most muslim scholars...in the intellectual science have been non-Arabs, thus the founders of grammar were Sibawaih and after him Al-Farsi and az Zajjaj. All of them were of Persian descent they invented rules of Arabic grammar. Great Jurists were Persians. Only the Persians engaged in the task of preserving knowledge and writing systematic scholarly works. Thus the truth of the statement of the Prophet Muhammad becomes apparent, if learning were suspended in the highest parts of heaven the Persians would attain it...The intellectual sciences were also the preserve of the Persians, left alone by the Arabs, who did not cultivate them... as was the case with all crafts... - Translated by F. Rosenthal (III, p.311-315, 271-274[Arabic]: RN Fry p.91)

Travel Iran - Historic Yazd
Take a tour of Historic Yazd in Iran-- part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats. Few cities can claim to be over 3000 years old, but Yazd, Iran can. This remarkable city has existed since the Median Empire. One of the amazing features of the city is the traditional Persian architecture of many buildings. The mosques are magnificently tiled, and nearly every building is made of adobe. Because of the desert climate, Yazd's architecture is unique to this one place. The graceful and unusual Amir Chakmak Mosque dates back to Iran's medieval era. Yazd is also one of the most significant cities for practitioners of Zoroastrianism. The Yazd deal with the high desert temperatures by creating wind tunnels for their buildings. Besides the architecture, Yazd is famous for its hand-crafted textiles and delicious confectioneries.
