Numbers 32 -The Transjordan Tribes
Numbers 32 The Transjordan Tribes 1 The Reubenites and Gadites, who had very large herds and flocks, saw that the lands of Jazer and Gilead were suitable for livestock. 2 So they came to Moses and Eleazar the priest and to the leaders of the community, and said, 3 "Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo and Beon- 4 the land the LORD subdued before the people of Israel—are suitable for livestock, and your servants have livestock. 5 If we have found favor in your eyes," they said, "let this land be given to your servants as our possession. Do not make us cross the Jordan." 6 Moses said to the Gadites and Reubenites, "Shall your countrymen go to war while you sit here? 7 Why do you discourage the Israelites from going over into the land the LORD has given them? 8 This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to look over the land. 9 After they went up to the Valley of Eshcol and viewed the land, they discouraged the Israelites from entering the land the LORD had given them. 10 The LORD's anger was aroused that day and he swore this oath: 11 'Because they have not followed me wholeheartedly, not one of the men twenty years old or more who came up out of Egypt will see the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob- 12 not one except Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua son of Nun, for they followed the LORD wholeheartedly.' 13 The LORD's anger burned against Israel and he made them wander in the desert forty years ...

Royals of Jordan
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is an Arab constitutional monarchy stretching from the Syrian Desert to the Gulf of Aqaba. When the Ottoman Empire was carved up after World War I the League of Nations mandated the region known as Trans-Jordan to the British. After a failed bid to gain power in Syria the Hashemite Emir Abdullah became King of Transjordan (later Jordan) with his brother Faisal becoming King of Iraq. The British mandate ended in 1946 and in 1950 the country was renamed Jordan after the Palestinian annexations. King Abdullah I was assassinated in 1951 in Jerusalem by a Palestinian terrorist. He was succeeded by King Talal who was later deposed because of mental illness with the throne passing to King Hussein. In 1957 Jordan ended its special treaty with Britain and until 1958 was part of the Arab Union with Iraq in an effort by the Hashemite monarchies to counter the United Arab Republic formed by Egypt and Syria. King Hussein died in 1999 and was succeeded by his son King Abdullah II.

Arabs acquiesced to the Zionist homeland in Palestine, in deal to obtain 98% of entire Mid-East
jootube.tv Historic, post-WWI Ottoman divvy granted 98% of Mid-East for Arab states, 2% (Palestine & Trans-Jordan) for a Zionist Israel. Daniel Doron contends that Moslem intolerance of traditionally subjugated Jews being equal to them or autonomous causes them to undermine the true history, present, & future of the middle east. On the occasion of Israel's 3600 birthday (63 years in modern sovereign state), Daniel Doron presents a brief history of the establishment of the Arab and Israeli states. Following World War I, the Ottoman Empire was carved into states, on the condition that 2% would go to re-establish the Jewish National Home in Palestine, Arabs accepted the all of the remaining the territory for their states. The Arabs later reneged, and the British stripped 80% of Palestine away from the Jews to create Trans-Jordan, despite the fact that all "Palestine" had been designated as a Jewish National Home. Still, the status of West Bank of the Jordan River has never been resolved, but the last and currently applying law permits both Jews and Muslims to own land and reside there. Dr. Doron is President of the Israel Center for Social and Economic Progess.

Israelity! with Mark Kaplan - November 15, 2011
Is Jordan Palestine? Is the Peace Agreement Legal? Israel's Foreign Minister and National Union Knesset Member Aryeh Eldad are having a difference of opinion about whether Jordan is Palestine. Leiberman argues that the "Jordan is Palestine" initiative violates Israel's treaty with Jordan and is therefore illegal. The question that is not being asked is whether the Treaty itself is illegal. Mark Kaplan gives his perspective on the issue.

Epilogue-Zeina Ghandour's "A Discourse on Domination in Mandate of Palestine"-12-27-2010-(Part1)
www.presstv.com Following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in 1920, British mandate for Palestine was created by the League of Nations. Mandate Palestine was an instrument for administration of Palestine which came into effect in 1923. Two states were established based on the mandate of the territory: Palestine and trans-Jordan. The mandate created the first resistance to the Anglo-Zionism colonialism. The issue is subjected to a book written by Zeina Ghandour: "A Discourse on Domination in Mandate of Palestine" which will be discussing by Derek Conway and his guests, Daud Abdullah and David Charles, in this episode of Press TV's Epilogue. Enjoy.

The Israeli Palestinian Conflict: Myths and Facts
Exploring some of the myths spread by the Arab-Palestinian propaganda machine. This clip explores the times from the fall of the Ottoman empire after the first World War, through the British Mandate over Palestine, the agreement to establish a Jewish homeland, the partition of trans-Jordan from Palestine, the 1947 UN partition plan and the 1948 war after Israel declared its independence. Later it goes to more recent events such as the withdrawal from Lebanon and from Gaza which made Israel suffer relentless attacks from the Arab side, not in the name of nationalism but in the name of the religion of Islam. THE CRUSADER CASTLES OF TRANSJORDAN (1x26' VA)
A film by Guillaume Hecht
A few years after its being put on the Jerusalem throne, in 1100, Baudouin the 1st starts an expansionnist expedition to the south. He had many reasons to want to control Transjordan : protecting the south from the Egyptians, pushing the southern border of the Jerusalem kingdom away, controlling the important regional trade
To help Transjordan conquest, they started to build castles. The first one was the Montreal castle, now known under the name of Shawbak. Years later, in 1142, kerak castle was built.

TRANSJORDAN, FOLLOWING IN MOSES' TRACKS (1x26' VA)
A film by Valérie Girié
Center of the Middle East, the Arabian desert once generated several immigration periods which made the history of this region. Man settled there more than a million years ago, before moving to its outskirts, looking for more fertile lands.
These green lands soon gave rise the covetous desire of other populations, who founded their kingdom and dictate their culture in turn.

Circasion Traditional Dance
The Circassians who had gone to the Balkans as emigrees subsequently left those regions owing to the Russian penetration of the Ottoman lands in 1877, and re-settled in Anatolia. A small part of them came to Syria and Jordan where the Otto...man State gave them agricultural land on which to live. The Shapsughs were the first tribe to leave Turkey on board a ship which caught fire while at sea. About seven hundred were burnt to death, and the survivors landed in Acre, then moved to Nablus where they stayed for a year before crossing the Jordan and settling in Amman. In 1880 groups of Kabardians and Bzadughs migrated to Jordan. Others migrated at other times and founded seven villages in Trans-Jordan, including Amman, which later became the capital of Jordan. In 1905 a small number of Chechens and some Daghestani families also migrated to Trans-Jordan.
