The 10 worst aviation crashes in history.
PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BEFORE COMMENTING. 9/11 was a building disaster that was deliberate. These crashes only include the plane itself, and most were accidental. Some pictures are incorrect, so there is no need to comment on that. Song: Mika - Happy ending. I DO NOT OWN THIS SONG, ALL CREDIT GOES TO MIKA. 1. March 27, 1977. Two Boeing 747s, operated by KLM and Pan Am, collide on a foggy runway at Tenerife, in Spain's Canary Islands killing 583 people. The KLM jet departed without permission and struck the Pan Am jet as it taxied along the same runway. Confusion over instructions and a blockage of radio transmissions contributed to the crash. 2. August 12, 1985. A Japan Air Lines 747 crashes near Mt. Fuji after takeoff from Tokyo on a domestic flight killing 520. The rupture of an aft bulkhead, which had undergone faulty repairs following a mishap seven years earlier, caused destruction of part of the airplane's tail and rendered the jet uncontrollable. A JAL maintenance supervisor later committed suicide, while the president of the airline resigned, accepting full, formal responsibility for the crash and visiting victims' families to offer a personal apology. 3. November 12, 1996. An Ilyushin IL-76 cargo plane from Kazakhstan collides in midair with a Saudia 747 near Delhi; all 349 aboard both planes are killed. The Kazakh crew had disobeyed instructions, and neither airplane was equipped with collision-avoidance technology. 4. March 3, 1974. In one of the most ...

World's shortest scheduled flight at just 47sec sparks bidding war between aviation firm
A contract to operate the shortest scheduled flight in the world has been awarded after a bidding war between three rivals. A Scottish airline won the contract for the flight between Westray and Papa Westray which usually lasts less than two minutes but, depending on the wind direction, has been as short as 47 seconds. The route, which is just over a mile, was among those in Orkney offered as a bundle of the islands' air services in a contract worth up to nearly £4million.

25 days, 34 films, and 1 tribute.

This video was purely non-profit and not Aimed at breaking copyright laws.

2012 Raytheon Award Video
This video was created to commemorate the 67FS winning the 2011 Raytheon Trophy for outstanding aerial achievement, given to the top air-to-air squadron in the USAF.
The footage was shot over 1 year of flying with a Sony HD Handycam and GOPRO Hero. The footage was shot entirely by pilots, no combat camera personnel were used. The video was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD over 2 weeks by Jersey. Footage includes flying and aircraft from both the 67FS "Fighting Cocks" and the 44FS "Vampire Bats", entirely on location at Kadena AB, Japan. Most of the over water footage was filmed while we were raging like demons from hell in the skies over the pacific ocean like our brothers did 70 years before us.
