Remi Ayodele
Remilekun "Remi" Ayodele (born April 22, 1983) is a former American football defensive tackle. Ayodele was signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Oklahoma.
Ayodele has also been a member of the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, and Minnesota Vikings. He is the younger brother of NFL linebacker Akin Ayodele.
Early years
Ayodele attended South Grand Prairie High School in Grand Prairie, Texas and was a lineman in football. He is of Nigerian descent.
Professional career
Ayodele went undrafted in the 2006 NFL Draft, but signed as a free agent, first to the New England Patriots, then the Baltimore Ravens, and then to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad before being released in November 2006. After being released he was then re-signed by the Dallas Cowboys to a two-year deal.
Atlanta Falcons
After being cut by the Dallas Cowboys in the summer of 2007, he signed with Atlanta Falcons.
Second stint with Cowboys
After being cut by Atlanta in September 2007, he was immediately re-signed and re-sessioned by the Dallas Cowboys to serve as a backup to Jay Ratliff, who was changing positions to starting nose tackle after Jason Ferguson suffered a season-ending injury. Ayodele was cut on December 11, 2007.
