Mambunong: Portrait of an Ibaloy Shaman
This is a multimedia piece for my Multimedia Class at the Ateneo which finished in June 2,2012. I remain disatisfied with it but have resolved to gather the other remaining footage that is necessary to complete this piece. But I did what I could for this time.

Mt. Pulag- Kabayan Benguet August 20 -21, 2011 with Black Pencil Project.
Mount Pulag is the third highest mountain in the Philippines. It is Luzon's highest peak at 2,922 meters above sea level. The borders between the provinces of Benguet, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya meet at the mountain's peak.
As the highest mountain in Luzon, Mount Pulag attracts a lot of mountain climbers. Highlights of the climb include the montane forests and the grassland summit with its "sea of clouds" phenomenon. There are four major trails up the summit: the Ambangeg, Akiki, and Tawangan trails from Benguet and the Ambaguio trail from Nueva Vizcaya. These trails are managed by the Mount Pulag National Park, under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
The national park is open throughout the year. A permit is necessary. Depending on the trail, a climb may take 1--4 days, with the easiest being the Ambangeg trail. The difficulty level of the climb ranges from 3 to 7 out of 9 in the local classification system. No special equipment is required for the climb.
The National Park is inhabited by different tribes such as the Ibalois, Kalanguya, Kankana-eys, Karao, Ifugaos and the Ilocanos.
It is the second highest mountain in the Philippines, next to Mount Apo and Mount Dulang-Dulang

On the Roof of Luzon
The team is once again back on the highest peak of Luzon to witness the its majestic sunrise on top of the "sea of clouds".
This time taking the more challenging Akiki- trail, the team is back with a vengeance. No wonder it is called the "Playground of the Gods" by the Ibaloi's . As a child I wonder how would it feel to touch and walk among the clouds, now i have the answers...

"Adibay or adivay " is an ibaloi word which means gathering all together to celebrate "Kabunyans" or Gods blessings. Igorots believes that Adibay is a very powerful to ask favor from Kabunyan. Dancing is a major part of the celebration. Before and while dancing the "Manbunong" or the Elder leads the prayer and it will be approved by the onlookers by shouting. The shouting called "Owag". This video was taken during the student cultural day at the ELC Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines.

Mountain of Pinggan, Lupao, Nueva Ecija - Ibaloi
Part of the province of Lupao, Nueva Ecija, where several native people which are called "Ibaloi" live there on the mountain top. Agricultural crops such as peanuts, rice, etc. and sheperding of goats and cows are their main source of income. There is no electricity here they depend only on generators and dynamo machine and motor or vehicle batteries as their energy supply when it is greatly needed but most of the time they only used alcohol lamps at night.
