Kyson (baby A) was born at 12:26pm on March 30, 2012 weighing 6lb 9oz and 17 3/4" long. Kaden (baby B) was born footling breech at 12:33pm on March 30, 2012 weighing 5lb 11oz and 19" long. This was probably the hardest and most rewarding thing I'll ever do in my entire life and I'm lucky enough to have it all on video :) Enjoy! Beijing Courts Refuse to Hear Labor Camp Sentence Appeal

Cao Dong, seen here with his late wife, was arbitrarily arrested in Beijing last June and sentenced, without trial, to two-and-a-half years of 'reform through labor.' His lawyer has been appealing ever since, but the courts won't hear the case. [Li Xionbing, Attorney for Cao Dong]: "The case was filed at the Beijing's Xicheng District People's Court, the Intermediate and Higher People's Court. It went to all three levels, but still hasn't been accepted at any of them. They don't want this case to go to trial." This isn't Cao's first encounter with China's labor camps. In 2006, he spoke to the Vice President of the European Parliament, Mr. Edward McMillan-Scott, who was visiting China at the time. Cao wanted to free his wife Yang Xiaojing, She was detained in a Beijing labor camp for practicing Falun Gong, a traditional Chinese spiritual practice. She died in 2009 after sustained injuries of interrogation and imprisonment. After he met with McMillan-Scott in 2006, security officials arrested Cao, who also practices Falun Gong. He was sentenced to five years in prison, and was not released until September 2011. Then, on June 8th, 2012, police suddenly arrested him in Beijing. Without a trial, Cao was sent to labor camp for more than two years for carrying Falun Gong literature. There's been a flurry of discussion about just what's going to happen to China's notorious labor camp system. Also known as "reform through labor" or "laojiao" in Chinese, the system has come under harsh criticism, both inside and outside of China, for flouting the rule of law. On Monday, January 7th, state-run CCTV made an unofficial announcement via its Sina Weibo account, that the Chinese regime would "end the use" of labor camps this year. But soon, that turned into a pledge to reform it instead. In this China Focus, we talk about what the labor camp system shows about China's legal system, and why the Chinese Communist Party has not been forthcoming with any significant moves to fix the deficient system.

Men Undergo Simulated Labor Contractions To Experience Pains Of Childbirth For Dutch TV Show

Dutch television hosts Dennis Storm and Valerio Zeno have done some pretty wild things for their show "Guinea Pigs." (In 2011, they ate each other's flesh in front of a live audience.) But the duo's latest escapade had them yelling and clutching their abdomens in agony when they opted to experience simulated labor contractions. In a video clip from the show, Storm and Zeno reveal why they took on this particular challenge, explaining that giving birth is the worst pain there is. However, since men can't feel labor pains, the two men used electro-stimulations to simulate contractions so they could experience the distress for themselves. "Do you think the pain will make us scream," Zeno asks before the shocks begin. One of the nurses responds bluntly: "Yes, it definitely will." She wasn't lying. Propped on a bed with electrodes attached to their abdomens, Storm and Zeno last through two hours of the simulated contractions. Though they try to laugh through the strain, the men appear to be in complete misery as they double over and clutch pillows tightly. While the time span of the simulation was much shorter than many instances of real-life labor, Storm and Zeno appeared to get the full experience. In the end, Zeno sums up the challenge as torture and wonders if he wants his wife to go through the same pain.

The letter came inside a box of Halloween decorations purchased at Kmart, and purports to be from a forced laborer inside the labor camp, pleading for help. The office of US Trade Representative Ron Kirk has issue a scathing report on China regarding its compliance with World Trade Organization rules. China has unveiled the world's longest high speed rail line, linking Beijing to Guangzhou. Critics of Hong Kong's Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying are planning a massive rally against him on New Year's Day. Cold weather and snowstorms have continued in northern China, leaving up to 8 inches of snow in some areas.
