A Canine Dental Prophy (cleaning)
The first step in a dental prophy (cleaning) is the physical exam and charting of the teeth. The second step is scaling of the dental calculus followed by polishing and then probing the teeth to make sure there are no "pockets" or areas of the mouth where infection could set in. Digital xrays can be taken as well to assist in determining if any teeth need to be extracted.

Refuting of the Canine Teeth Argument (Read Vid Description)
I decided to make this video in order to educate and inform everyone about many misconceptions regarding our teeth making us "natural carnivores". I do agree that humans are Omnivores, and you are not going to die for eating meat LOL. HOWEVER you can definitely improve your health by lowering or eliminating the consume of meat and dairy in your diet ;-) If this wasn't true, I would have dropped dead MONTHS ago from lack of proper nutrition LOL! I hope you enjoy this video and it is never my intention to start a "who's right and wrong" battle thing, I just needed to put this out there. PD: This video took me weeks to gather info and check to not be misinformed... Enjoy!

False rut roebuck neck shot. Roe deer with canine tooth.
A friend invited me stalking and I was out on the high seat from about 6am. It was quite windy and nothing was moving till about 7 when a young buck ran across the field. I never managed to pull the trigger, but it looked like he was running away from something. Nothing happened for the next 20 min, when I spotted a movement. There was a pair of ears in the long grass in front of me. Then I saw two roe chasing one another but they were barely visible in this high grass. Eventually, they settled a bit and I could see it was a doe with a buck sniffing and acting as they were rutting. The buck chased the doe again, but this time she ran towards the high seat. There was a nice place were the grass was not that high and the buck paused there. He was looking straight at me sitting on the high seat and was not going to give me any better chance so I took the high neck shot. He dropped on the spot and the doe ran away. I went down to bleed him, but by the time I got there he was already dead. It was just a young buck, but looked like he was rutting (it was mid September). Another interesting thing was he had a canine tooth on one side. Quite unusual in roe deer, my first "Vampire buck" as my wife called him :-) roestalker.co.uk Deer stalking and hunting in Scotland. Congenitally Absent Maxillary Lateral Incisors (Missing Upper 2nd teeth) - Cuspid Substitution
Many patients are born without their maxillary lateral incisors (or the upper 2nd teeth from the front). One option that a patient can have done with braces is move their cuspid tooth (the tooth next to the missing teeth moved into the place of the missing tooth). Some patients are recommended not to use cuspid substitution and to maintain the lateral incisor space for permanent replacement in the future (example, an implant, crown, or bridge).
