Osomapto Juddher Daak (The Call For an Unfinished War) is about the recent upraising in Bangladesh. The country declared independence from the neo-imperialist Pakistan on 25th March 1971 and went to a cold hearted War. Pakistani forces and their collaborators (Betrayers within Bangali people) killed 3 million, raped another 2 hundred thousand; burnt more than half of its villages and cities during the war. 10 million people flew to neighbours country India (Highest number in Human history) leaving their entire life behind. The land veiled in blood for nine months and finally on 16th December Bangladesh met the victory. Unfortunately during the war and its immediate after, the nation lost almost all it's intellects and the people who mastered the freedom including the father of the Nation. People bitterly experienced military coups, secret killings and pakistani collaborators went into power. They dilated the sense of nationalism, culture and social norms into religion and by the name of it they have produced numerous confused, extremist hatred political parties. But the ordinary people have never forgotten their mytyres, the bloodshed and neither their betrayers. From the beginning, whenever they stood up for justice, they were impeded brutally by the betrayers during then. The people always wanted the betrayers, later demons in power to be brought in to justice but failed. Eventually Pro liberation party Awamileague came into power in 1996, but could not afford to file the suspended case. They returned to power in 2009 and dared to bring those demons into justice who frequently masterminded or helped Pakistani forces for the killing, burning and raping. The pro liberation government recognised the public spirit for the first time but struggled to act according to their legitimate demand. People revolted and came out in the streets after declaring an unexpected verdict from court for one of the collaborator's justice on 5th February 2013. Few pro liberation young initiated the protest against the verdict under the banner of Gonojagoron Moncho (Raised People's Platform). But by the next day the direct war victim's generations, pro liberation allies and eventually liberal democratic civilians joined in. The protest spread in Universities, Communities, Institutions nationally and internationally for the proper justice and acting upon it. Gonojagoronmoncho demands the leaders of the collaborators to bring into justice regardless of their political and religious musk. The Moncho is the common platform for all pro liberation political, cultural and civil parties sharing same demands and ideas regarding this justice.They believe in order to stand up Bangladesh as a secular and democratic country, they have to settle down with all these collaborators first and get rid of the extremist hatred Political Parties. This documentary is a part of that mass upraising. It is made by few young Bangladeshies who work and support the Gonojagoronmoncho from London. The film is dedicated to two of the legends who lead the public demand into light. One is Jahanara Imam, mother of a mytyre who fought to bring the betrayers into justice; and Zahir Rayhan who pioneered the call to bring the collaborators into justice who were involved killing the intellectuals
