Chad tribe holds cross-border sway
The Zaghawa tribe of eastern Chad is a minority group in the country wielding influence well beyond its numbers. The tribe has traditionally roamed the lands across Chad's unstable east and Sudan's northern Darfur - swaying the politics of both countries. Al Jazeera's May Ying Welsh reports from eastern Chad .

Kedh Gurrai: The Chadic Connection
The Garri-Oromo tradition of Kedh Gurrai. The Garri are two tribes: Tuuf and Quran, both of which are presently found in Chad, Nigeria, Niger, Sudan and Libya. In these regions are they all called Tubu and Gorane, both are subgroups of the Kanuri people. "Kanuri" is the ethnic umbrella name for these tribes. Kanuri means "people of the light" or "people of the truth" in respect to our conversion to Islam in the 10th century via the Fezzan region of Libya in the 10th-11th century. Thanks goes all those Garri who have passed along our traditions and special thanks goes to the Garri behind GarriNation. LIBYA: How it All Started... a day-by-day Report
This short movie shows the facts about those rebels who described by some as "freedom fighters". Libya is planed to be another western exploited country , but instead of using the WMD-Lie, they use "protecting civilian" or "Humanitarian" Lie! Libya is for the libyan People! Those who say Gaddafi most go aren't concerned about the majority of the libyan People, because most of Libyan want Gaddafi to stay! Compared to all other Leaders, he is the best choice for the People! ...but not for US- and other western Profiteers and Exploiters ! The US supported thru the CIA many dictators in many countries killing and suppressing millinos of civilians. Concerning Gaddafi the USA and France heavily supported the Chadian criminal leader Hissène Habré against Gaddafi. The US and France did this despite of the Fact that this dictator did widespread human rights abuses and atrocities like periodically ethnic cleansing against groups such as the Sara, Hadjerai and the Zaghawa, killing and arresting. Darfur Genocide Video - Personal Account An American Witness
Darfur Region - Sudan Genocide on border of Chad and the doorway to the Arab worlds. The Darfur conflict is a complex crisis in the Darfur region of western Sudan. One side of the armed conflict is composed mainly of the Sudanese military and the Janjaweed, a militia group recruited mostly from the tribes of the northern Rizeigat, camel-herding nomads. The other side comprises a variety of rebel groups, notably the Sudan Liberation Movement and the Justice and Equality Movement, recruited primarily from the land-tilling Fur, Zaghawa, and Massaleit ethnic groups. The Sudanese government, while publicly denying that it supports the Janjaweed, has provided money and assistance to the militia and has participated in joint attacks targeting the tribes from which the rebels draw support. The conflict began in February 2003. Unlike in the Second Sudanese Civil War, which was fought between the primarily Muslim north and Christian and Animist south, almost all of the combatants and victims in Darfur are Muslim. The government and Janjaweed attacks upon the non-Baggara civilian populace have resulted in a major humanitarian crisis. There are many casualty estimates, most concurring on a range within the hundreds of thousands. The United Nations (UN) estimates that the conflict has left as many as 450000 dead from violence and disease. Most NGOs (non-governmental organizations) use 200000 to over 400000, a figure from the Coalition for International Justice that has since been cited ...

Songs To Enemies And Deserts Sample Clip One.mov
From the mountains of Jebel Marra in central Darfur a ragged group of rebels swept down onto Sudanese military bases in 2003, routing the governments soldiers and making off with rifles, artillery, and vehicles. The Sudan Liberation Army had scored its first victory, and no one could predict what would follow. Instead of taking on the rebels directly, the Khartoum government sent bombers and horse-mounted militias (Janjaweed) to murder and terrorize Darfuri civilians. The ensuing horrors were documented by the international news media and the worlds outcry was part of the reason that the attacks subsided, at least temporarily. With the government murdering the civilian population to quell the rebellion, the rebels became the civilians only protection force. Who are these men and why did they begin fighting in the first place, and what part do they play in the ongoing situation that is Darfur? Their demands are widely supported by the civilian population: they want roads and schools, clean water, health care, and representation in their countrys otherwise despotic government, controlled by an elite which has ruled from the countrys northern region since the Sudanese gained independence from the British in 1956. We felt that in all of the attention that Darfur was getting, the Darfuri people themselves were often portrayed as abject victims, with hands outstretched, pleading with the west to come to their rescue. And yet here were Darfuris who had risen up against a ...

Janjaweed DARFUR SOUDAN / Original footage (!)
Together the government and Arab Janjaweed militias targeted the Fur, Masalit, and Zaghawa through a combination of indiscriminate and deliberate aerial bombardment, denial of access to humanitarian assistance, and scorched-earth tactics that displaced hundreds of thousands of civilians. Government forces also regularly arbitrarily detained and sometimes tortured Fur, Zaghawa, and Masalit students, political activists, and other individuals in Darfur and Khartoum suspected of having any allegiance to the rebel movements. www.youtube.com

What's Happening in Darfur? Darfur Conflict in America
The Darfur conflict is an ongoing armed conflict in the Darfur region of western Sudan, mainly between the Janjaweed, a militia group recruited from the tribes of the Abbala (camel-herding Arabs), and the non-Baggara people (mostly land-tilling tribes) of the region. The Sudanese government, while publicly denying that it supports the Janjaweed, has provided arms and assistance and has participated in joint attacks with the group, systematically targeting the Fur, Zaghawa, and Massaleit ethnic groups in Darfur. The conflict began in July 2003. Unlike in the Second Sudanese Civil War, which was fought between the primarily Muslim north and Christian and Animist south, in Darfur most of the residents are Muslim, as are the Janjaweed. Estimated number of deaths in the conflict have ranged from 50000 (World Health Organization, September 2004) to 450000 (Dr. Eric Reeves, 28 April 2006). Most NGOs use 400000, a figure from the Coalition for International Justice that has since been cited by the United Nations. As many as 2.5 million are thought to have been displaced. The mass media have described the conflict as both "ethnic cleansing" and "genocide." The US Government has described it as genocide, although the United Nations has declined to do so. en.wikipedia.org www.savedarfur.org

Arrest warrant issued for Sudans President
www.russiatoday.ru Arrest warrant issued for Sudans President 04 March, 2009, 22:32 The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Sudan's president on charges of alleged atrocities in Darfur. Omar Al-Bashir faces charges of five counts of crimes against humanity and two of war crimes. Charges of genocide were dropped due to insufficient evidence. President Al-Bashir denies the charges. Sudans Ambassador to Russia, Sirajuddin Hamid Yousuf, says the court's decision cannot be enforced. Sudan had clearly stated that its not concerned with any warrant or decision issued by the ICC, he said. Thats based on the legal position of Sudan. Sudan is not a party to the UN convention of 1998 and therefore is not bound by any decision issued by anybody established by the Rome Statute. On Tuesday, before the court's decision was issued, the 65-year-old Al-Bashir said he would dismiss the warrant as worthless. "Any decision by the International Criminal Court has no value for us. It will not be worth the ink it is written in," he said. Shortly after the court's announcement, Sudanese officials said Khartoum would not recognise the ICC's jurisdiction, and suggested the court's decision was linked to an effort to destabilise Sudan. ICC Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo, who filed charges against al-Bashir in July last year, said he had 30 witnesses who were ready to testify to the court on the Sudanese leader's actions which he said were aimed at annihilating ...

The Sudan and its historical relations with the rest of the world part 1
This is just some information to get started with "Man, past and present" By Augustus Henry Keane 1900 books.google.com (On Nubia) it was strong enough frequently to invade Egypt in defense of their oppressed Greek and Koptic fellow-Christians. So early as 640 a combined army of Nubas and Bejas, said to have numbered 50000 men with 1500 elephants, penetrated as far north as Oxyrhynchus (the Arab Bahnosa) where such a surprising store of Greek and other documents was discovered in 1897. There is a record of an embassy sent by a king Zacharias in the 9th century to Bagdad concerning the tribute, while by the close of the l0th century the Nubians seem to have regained almost complete independence.. ..the Nubians were strong enough to invade upper Egypt during the reign of Nawaya Krcstos (1342-1372), because the governor of Cairo had thrown the patriarch of Alexandria into prison. When "Negroes" dominated "Arabs" part 1 (ignored aspect of history)
*All these books still have mistranslations and are slanted toward a European colonial point of view* Edit: I have limited room first quote from Ibn Khaldun books.google.com My playlist "Myth of Arab racism domination over blacks in ancient times" www.youtube.com On Afro-Euro relations please also watch "16th century Equality 21st Century White Supremacy" www.youtube.com Words that are translated into English as black or Negro are misleading and shouldn't be taken too seriously. The evidence shown here at least shows that racism didn't exist then the way it does today. Next video well look at relations between Egypt and other The Negroland of the Arabs examined and explained books.google.com quoting Ibn Battuta " From Muli (says Ibn Batutah) the river descends to Yufi (Nufi), one of the greatest kingdoms of Negroland" ...It would appear, from this, that the superiority now enjoyed by the people of Nufi in arts and industry, was already acknowledged in the fourteenth century. quoting Ibn Khaldun On the other side of Africa Ibn Khaldun says books.google.com Adjoining the Berber (Somalia nothing to do with Maghrib) are the Abyssinians (Ethiopians), the most numerous and powerful of the Blacks.
