The Station Pilot could be seen at most large stations and whose role was to move stock around within the station limits. Duties included the dismantling and forming of trains at the beginning or end of their journeys. This film shows how a parcels train might have been assembled.

Views from the platform of this old style Midland Railways station. Features a number of passing and stopping trains including Northern Trains Class 158 and Class 144, EWS Class 66 working freight trains, including one empty Gypsum containers going Northbound, and a laden cement train also going Northbound. This video also features the approach of steam locomotive 48151 Gauge O Guild working The Fellsman, which was heading Southbound. This stopped at Hellifield to take water, and the video captures this as well as the loco heading South and crossing the line behind Hellifield South Junction signal box, to head down the Clitheroe branch line. This video also features footage of the station building and infrastructure including the water tank and pipe for the steam train, and the newly dug-out turning circle.

This film was taken at Harlesden station in north London. It is served by Bakerloo Line 'tube' trains and the London Overground's air-conditioned trains travelling between Euston and Watford Junction. Located on the 'New Line' between Camden and Watford Junction which was specially built for local (urban) services, this station was opened by the London & North Western Railway in 1912. Baker Street & Waterloo Railway trains started calling here in 1917. This film comprises of a mix of historical footage from the 1980's and 1990's plus 'present day' footage from 2011. Viewers from outside of London may find the 'present-day era' station annoouncements to be of special interest. In addition to the usual 'next train' information there are also messages about the need for passengers to carry a bottle of water in this hot weather / what to do if someone is taken ill on a train and about Oyster PAYG (pay as you go) ticketing being valid on London Overground services but to obtain the best fare passengers must remember to touch-in and out.
