Gurdwara in Daultala Punjab Pakistan
With this video i want to show how badly the historic constructions are taken care of in Pakistan. I wish the government of Pakistan would take notice of this and make sure that Pakistans rich heritage is preserved. (I expect from all of you to send sensible comments else it will be deleted instantly.) This is SINGH SABHA Gurdwara located in Dualtala Punjab Pakistan. The date that the Daultala locality was established is unknown, there are a number of historical buildings like the Gurdwara dating back to the early 20th century, and the Government High School for boys dating back to 1926. Other historical evidence is the Gravestones near the High school. That dates back to the year 1700 - or the era before British Raj was established across the sub-continent. The presence of the Gurdwara shows that a large number of Sikh resided in Daultala and the surrounding areas. These Sikhs were landlords, businessmen and religious scholars. Few good names among teachers are still remembered by the peoples of that age with honour. No evidence is there about the presence of Hindus in the village, while Muslim were present here in a large number. The tribes of Daultala include the Syeds, Gujjars, Rajputs (including Chohan Rajput, Bhakral, Baghial, Jatal, Minhas, Bhatti, Janjua Rajput), Mughal, and Awan. The music i did choose for this video is of: Babu rajab ali 's kavishri -sung by lalji bhaike walian da jatha.

The first ever Gurdwara in Dubai.
A model of the gurdwara, Guru Nanak Durbar. The first gurdwara in the UAE, Guru Nanak Durbar, will open in Dubai within a month. Built at $20 million, the ultra-modern gurdwara is a rare piece of architectural design, a blend of modern and traditional building style, finalised after studying important Sikh shrines the world over, including Golden Temple. Gulf-based industrialist Surender Singh Kandhari had taken the initiative to build the mega project and permission was taken from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Makhtoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE in 2008. It took two years for Dubai-based architectural firms Holford Associates and Paul Bishop Design Associates to give shape to the three storyed structure built over 12,5000 sq ft with a basement, a langar (community kitchen) and assembly halls. Paul Bishop and designer Arafeh Bashir visited the Golden Temple earlier this week and studied frescoes and wall painting at Harmandar Sahib. "The Guru Nanak Durbar is ready except for some minute interior design work," said Gunbir Singh, a local industrialist and philanthropist who was the team's local coordinator. Talking to The Indian Express, he said Kandhari had convinced the UAE top authorities about the tolerant teachings of Sikh gurus and the Sheikh not only granted permission for the shrine but also gave free land to the community in the heart of Dubai. "Richard Adams from UK, who helped design the Singh Sahib Gurdwara at South Hall was also consulted," said ...

Six killed in Wisconsin gurdwara shooting
At least six people have been killed and "dozens" critically injured by one confirmed gunman at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, a gurdwara, in what appeared to be a hate crime in Oak Creek, a quiet suburb of Milwaukee. The White House confirmed that a police officer killed the lone gunman and as of 6:30pm EST "the situation at the Sikh Temple was under control." For more info log on to: www.youtube.com

Sonia Brar & Jashdeep Dhoot - Sikh Cinematic Wedding Highlights
On August 27, 2011, Sonia and Jashdeep married at the Riverside Gurdwara. The bride wore a light pink lehgha choli encrusted with white, pink and gold crystals throughout, and accented with fine detailed embroidery. I loved her bold, but delicate ceremony jewelry, I thought it was stunning! Following the traditional doli after the ceremony, the guest continued to the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa where the reception took place.
Behind the scenes: They decided to go with one of our cinematic packages, which included preparation shots, 2 Canon 5D cameras, a full length extended reel along with a highlight reel.

Nishkam
Sikhism is a monotheistic religion founded during the 15th century in the Punjab region, by Guru Nanak Dev and continued to progress with ten successive Sikh gurus (the last teaching being the holy scripture Gurū Granth Sāhib Ji). It is the fifth-largest organized religion in the world, with over 25 million Sikhs and one of the most steadily growing. This system of religious philosophy and expression has been traditionally known as the Gurmat (literally 'of the gurus'). Punjab of India is the only region in the world with a majority Sikh population.
Sikhs embody the qualities of a "Sant-Sipahie"—a saint-soldier. One must have control over one's internal vices and be able to be constantly immersed in virtues clarified in the Guru Granth Sahib. A Sikh must also have the courage to defend the rights of all who are wrongfully oppressed or persecuted irrespective of religion, colour, caste or creed.
The principal beliefs of Sikhi are faith and justice, in Waheguru—represented by the phrase ik ōaṅkār, meaning one God. Sikhi advocates the pursuit of salvation through personal meditation on the name and message of God. The followers of Sikhi are ordained to follow the teachings of the ten Sikh gurus, or enlightened leaders, as well as the holy scripture entitled the Gurū Granth Sāhib Ji, which, along with the writings of six of the ten Sikh Gurus, includes selected works of many devotees from diverse socio-economic and religious backgrounds. It is believed that the text was decreed by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth guru, as the final guru of the Sikh religion. Sikhi's traditions and teachings are associated with the history, society and culture of Punjab.

GURDWARA MANIKARAN SAHIB, HIMACHAL PRADESH, INDIA
DISCLAIMER: This video is made by me as I like videography, and the audio content is taken from the film Rang De Basanti, which is not owned by me. The audio content is used only for entertainment purpose and is not for any profit. Manikaran is about 30 KM from Buntar which has connectivity through road/air. the place has Sikh Gurdwara and temples. It has hot springs which is active even in winter with snow peaked mountains. The sulphur (gandhakam) is good for skin diseases and hence taking bath in this spring is believed to be having curing value. As traditionally "being simple", Sikhs do the chores at their Gurudwara, and even rich, famous and poor are doing them along. There is a community kitchen (langaar) which uses the hot spring to boil the vegetables for preparation of food. It is run by a trust and has accomodation facility also. I have taken this in 2009 May. The Sikh prayer , I believe, EkOnkar from Rangde Basanti.

Indien Gottesdienst Sikh-Tempel
