Liszt - "Tristia" (3rd version of "La vallée d'Obermann" for trio)
Liszt - "Tristia" (3rd version of "La vallée d'Obermann" for trio)
Tristia, 3rd version of S.378a, S.378b (1880) extract from : Liszt: L'Oeuvre Pour Violoncelle - Complete Cello Works Tristia (1880) belongs to the rarest Liszt's late productions. It's based on the famous piece "La vallée d'Obermann" (Année de pélerinnage : Suisse). It's not only an arrangement because Liszt reshaped the whole piece and even if one can still hear the main themes the structure is quite different from his original version. Tristia is the third version for trio. the first and second ones are much longer. Liszt was helped by Eduard Lassen and Camille-Saint-Saens for this uncommon writing. The second version is available on Deezer. Feel free to comment and rate !

Tyrtarion - Tristia (ex Ovidii Tristibus, I,3; versus 1-24)
Tyrtarion - Tristia (ex Ovidii Tristibus, I,3; versus 1-24)
De ann. acad. auspicatione plura hic invenies: on.fb.me ENGLISH: The Tyrtarion chorus sings a well known song from Ovid's Tristia at the inauguration of the 2011-2012 Academic year. As is our habit we have added instrumentation to the poem so that it is easier to perceive the meter, the original accents, and the sense of original song (author of the instrumentation is Mr. George P. Corbett, alumnus of our Academy, now studying at the University of Cambridge). We hope that you enjoy our song as much as it has delighted us to perform it. See more about the inauguration: on.fb.me
