Marco Anthony Rivera (born April 26, 1972) is a former American football Guard in the National Football League. Rivera is of Puerto Rican descent.

Rivera attended Elmont Memorial High School in Long Island, New York. He was an excellent all-around athlete and won five varsity letters each in football as an offensive lineman and basketball, and three in lacrosse.

Rivera attended Penn State University from 1992 to 1995. He had a notable career at Penn State as a three-year starter and four-time letter winner (1992–95). He played in 41 career games for the Nittany Lions, making 31 starts. His experience also included appearances in three bowl games - the Outback, Rose and Blockbuster. He earned second-team All-Big Ten honors in both his junior and senior seasons. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Penn State in 1995.

Rivera was chosen by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the 1996 NFL Draft. During his first year, he was inactive for all 16 regular season games, Rivera was a key practice contributor to the Packers run to their third world title in Super Bowl XXXI. In 1997, Rivera was allocated to the Scottish Claymores of the World League and started all ten games, helping his team finish third in the league in total offense. He was named honorable mention All-World League by Pro Football Weekly. Rivera returned to Green Bay and saw action in 14 regular season games, primarily on special teams as a member of the field goal and extra point units and on kickoffs. He was inactive for the Packers first two contests before seeing action in the club's final 14 games as well as all three playoff contests.

Rivera is the capital of Rivera Department of Uruguay. It is located at the north end of Route 5, on the border with Brazil. The Brazilian city of Santana do Livramento is right across the border, only a street away of it. Together they form an international city of around 200,000 inhabitants.

On 7 May 1862 the town Pueblo de Ceballos was created in honour of the Spanish viceroy Pedro de Cevallos,. In July 1867 it took on the official name Rivera and was recognized as a city. The Brazilian town Santana do Livramento already existed just across the border.

In 1943, the Plaza Internacional Rivera-Livramento (see photo) was built to celebrate the Fifth Conference of the Commission Mixta for Mixed Limits and as a hope for the future integration of the two towns, claimed to be the only international square in the world. From 1851 to this day, inhabitants of both communities are free to move in both sides. Customs and checkpoints are located outside the cities. Today, duty free shops are one of the main economic resources of Rivera.

Bev Francis (born 15 February 1955) is a retired powerlifter and female bodybuilder from Australia, where she was a national shot put champion. She is also a writer, body building judge and owns a gym in Syosset, New York, in the United States where she now lives.

Francis was born 15 February 1955 in Geelong, Australia. She went to the University of Melbourne.

Her list of athletic achievements includes breaking more than 40 powerlifting records, and winning six powerlifting world championships. She was the first woman to officially bench press over 300 pounds. After that, a picture of her appeared in several bodybuilding magazines around the world, doing what's called a most muscular pose or "the crab" while wearing a bikini. While she wasn't ripped, there was enough definition to delineate the muscles, and the fact that she possessed far more muscular size than the most muscular female bodybuilders at the time raised the question, "What would she look like on a bodybuilding stage?" In 1982 she won the Australian national shot put championships. She is best known for her career as a professional bodybuilder. In 1985 she gained notice through her role in the movie Pumping Iron II: The Women directed by George Butler, who was drawn to Francis for her reputation as "history's strongest woman". The film casts her in a controversial role within the ongoing debate over femininity and female muscularity, with her naturally massive size and muscular development challenging preconceived notions about the limits of female bodybuilding.
