Persian art at the Louvre museum, Paris. There are art pieces from the Royal Place in Susa from the Achaemenids, the Persian empire founded by Cyrus the Great. King Darius the Great (522-486 BC), built one of his residences in Susa, where from these pieces are taken. Also art pieces from the Sassanid empire era, from Bishapur Near current Kazerun and other places in Iran. And at last Persian art from after Arabian invasions of Persia, or Persian Islamic art. Erklärtes Ziel unserer Persienreise 1974 ist es, den Persischen Golf zu erreichen. Südlich von Shiraz nehmen wir die Piste, die über Kazerun nach Busher führt. Die Strecke erweist sich als schwierig für unser Auto, besonders an einigen Steigungen, wo die extreme Hitze und knöcheltiefer feiner Gesteinsabrieb seinen 40 PS das Äusserste abverlangen. Wir treffen ein deutsches Ehepaar, baden in einem von Blutegeln verseuchten Fluss, und fahren dann gemeinsam weiter. Vor Busher beginnt eine nagelneue Asphaltstrasse, welche Wohltat! Die Stadt Busher hat nichts Besonderes zu bieten, doch wir haben die Befriedigung, tatsächlich wie geplant den Persischen Golf erreicht zu haben. Zurück geht's wie gehabt, mit Badepause an dem Fluss, mit Hitze und Staub, und einem Kolbenklemmer ohne weitere Folgen.

His videotaped confession was broadcast on television in Shiraz and in the streets of Kazerun and Lar. On November 12, 1995, by the verdict of the eighth judicial branch of Hamadan and the confirmation of the Supreme Court of Iran, Mehdi Barazandeh, otherwise known as Safa Ali Shah Hamadani, was condemned to death. The judicial authorities announced that Barazandeh's crimes were repeated acts of adultery and "the obscene act of sodomy." The court's decree was carried out by stoning Barazandeh. Barazandeh belonged to the Khaksarieh Sect of Dervishes. (Islamic Republic Newspaper - November 14 1995 + reported in Homan's magazine June 10, 1996). Salman paid a visit to Abu Ad-Darda' and found Um Ad-Darda' dressed in shabby clothes and asked her why she was in that state. She replied, "Your brother Abu Ad-Darda' is not interested in (the luxuries of) this world." In the meantime Abu Ad-Darda' came and prepared a meal for Salman. Salman requested Abu Ad-Darda' to eat (with him), but Abu Ad-Darda' said, "I am fasting." Salman said, "I am not going to eat unless you eat." So, Abu Ad-Darda' ate(with Salman). When it was night and (a part of the night passed), Abu Ad-Darda' got up (to offer the night prayer), but Salman told him to sleep and Abu Ad-Darda' slept. After sometime Abu Ad-Darda' again got up but Salman told him to sleep. When it was the last hours of the night, Salman told him to get up then, and both of them offered the prayer. Salman told Abu Ad-Darda', "Your Lord has a right on you, your soul has a right on you, and your family has a right on you; so you should give the rights of all those who has a right on you." Abu Ad-Darda' came to the Prophet and narrated the whole story. The Prophet said, "Salman has spoken the truth." Kazerun (Persian: كازرون‎, also Romanized as Kāzerūn, Kāzarūn, Kasrun, and Kazeroun) is a city in and the capital of Kazerun County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 84,594, in 20,810 families.

Kazerun is situated between Shiraz and Bushehr. Its agricultural products include date palms, citrus orchards, wheat, tobacco, rice, cotton, and vines.

The nearby ruins of the ancient city of Bishapur 12 mi. (19 km) N., include bas-relief depictions from the Sasanid era (ca. 224–651). A statue of Shapur I (AD 241–272) can be found in a large cave at the site. The ruins of the Qal'eh-ye Gabri (Castle of the Gabrs, or Zoroastrians) are located on a mound S.E. of Kazerun.

Nasrollah Mardani, a famous Persian poet, comes from Kazerun. It is also believed that Salman the Persian, one of the followers of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad, comes from this city.^{[citation needed]} "Welcome to Salman the Persian" can be seen at the entrance of the city. The town is also the scene of a famous battle in the novel My Uncle Napoleon.
