The Duel [HD] from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1966)

There is nothing I can do about the ads, because this video has been matched with third party content (owned by MGM) and therefore YouTube is allowed to show ads during this video. Yes, it's annoying, but luckily the ads can be at least closed** The final duel from the movie "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" by Sergio Leone 1966. ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST - Ennio Morricone/Sergio Leone
Once Upon a Time in the West (1968), is a Euro/Spaghetti Western directed by Sergio Leone. The story focuses on brutish gunfighter Frank (Henry Fonda), who dreams of becoming a tycoon, but is still prepared to resort to trusted methods to drive widow Jill McBain (Claudia Cardinale) off the land coveted by a ruthless railroad company. However, Frank must also deal with a mysterious harmonica player (Charles Bronson), as well as sympathetic outlaw Cheyenne (Jason Robards), if he is to achieve his goal. Bernardo Bertolucci wrote a script for Leones magnificent attempt to make the definitive western (I had no lire and I thought Leone was brilliant and vulgar), borrowing from every western the future director knew. References include; High Noon, Johnny Guitar, Shane, The Searchers and The Iron Horse. The stereotypes include Henry Fonda cast radically against type as a blue-eyed sadistic killer, Charles Bronson as the avenger with no name who wears a musical instrumental around his neck, Jason Robards as a romantic bandit, and Claudia Cardinale as a dance-hall girl. The film features leitmotifs that relate to each of the main characters (each with their own unique theme music) as well as to the spirit of the American West. It was Leone's desire to have the music available and played during filming. Leone had Morricone compose the score before shooting started and would play the music in the background for the actors on set. No wonder many critics described the film as an ...

Sergio Leone - Duck, You Sucker - The Bridge ( filming location video )
FOLLOW ME ON FACEBOOK www.facebook.com One of the best scenes in "Fistful Of Dynamite" (aka "Duck You Sucker, Giu' la testa), directed by the great Sergio Leone. Starring: James Cuburn & Rod Steiger. The bridge was located in Almeria, Spain Giù la Testa, roughly translated as Duck Your Head) also known as Duck, You Sucker! and Once Upon a Time... the Revolution is a 1971 Spaghetti western film directed by Sergio Leone. Leone was known to prefer the title Duck, You Sucker!, which he was convinced was a frequently used American phrase. Its plot is centered on two individuals, a poor Mexican bandit (played by Rod Steiger) and an ex-Irish Republican Army revolutionary (James Coburn), who meet during the turbulent Mexican Revolution Compared to Leone's previous films, the Clint Eastwood "man with no name" trilogy and Once Upon a Time in the West, his new work A Fistful of Dynamite gained lukewarm reviews and little notice. One reason could be Leone's insistence on using the Duck, You Sucker title, which gave potential movie-goers the mistaken impression that the film would be a comic western. (Duck, You Sucker is a fairly direct translation of the repeated phrase of the film, "Giù la Testa, coglione!" in the Italian version, where however the movie was titled just "Giù la Testa"). Leone was convinced the phrase "duck, you sucker" was a popular American expression, contrary to the advice of his American stars Rod Steiger and James Coburn that they had never heard of that phrase ...

VERDONE racconta SERGIO LEONE

Duck, You Sucker! (Italian: Giù la testa), also known as A Fistful of Dynamite and Once Upon a Time... the Revolution, is a 1971 Zapata Western film directed by Sergio Leone and starring Rod Steiger and James Coburn. It is the second part of a trilogy of epic Leone films including the previous Once Upon a Time in the West and the subsequent Once Upon a Time in America, released thirteen years later. The last western film directed by Leone, it is considered by some to be one of his most overlooked film The setting is 1913 Mexico at the time of the Revolution. Juan Miranda (Rod Steiger), a Mexican outlaw leading a bandit family, meets John (Sean) Mallory (James Coburn), an early Irish Republican explosives expert on the run from the British. Noting his skill with explosives, Juan relentlessly tries to make him join a raid on the Mesa Verde national bank. John in the meantime has made contact with the revolutionaries and intends to use his dynamite in their service. The bank is hit as part of an orchestrated revolutionary attack on the army organized by Doctor Villega (Romolo Valli). Juan, interested only in the money, is shocked to find that the bank has no funds and instead is used by the army as a political prison. John, Juan and his family end up freeing hundreds of prisoners, causing Juan to become a "great, grand, glorious hero of the revolution".
